Just as bad as the russians, wealthy american donors are funding rightwing lobbists and thinktanks in the UK to shape tory policy.
Looks like another enquiry is on its way. |

I thought it was even funnier when one of them said it wouldn’t affect their independence - of course if a bunch of Communists gave them millions to promote Communists policies they wouldn’t do it. The same organisation which has spent the past ‘n’ years promoting ‘free market’ policies. The irony seems to run strong here, or indeed lack thereof... |

Yes, Britain is open for business in more ways than one.
I recall Yaxley Lennon, or whatever his name is, being funded by wealthy Americans who had made it their mission in life to stop the spread of Islam. |

People vote Tory no matter what. There is nothing they could do that would stop people voting for them.
It's bonkers.
As pointed out before, working class Tory voters are more of a mystery than the loch Ness monster.
Maybe they're depressed and want to vote themselves into poverty and an early grave. |

I would not be at all surprised if some of the big American pharmaceutical companies have funded the brexit parties as they stand to gain billions more in hiking prices and extending patents |

Well, if your objective is to generate X $bn in additional revenue over Y years in a market governed by political rulers, it makes commercial sense to invest millions in trying to influence those politicians to help you achieve that objective.
That will include donations targeted at specific politicians, directorships, consultancies and a whole host of freebies.
All of which will need to be declared. |
