Yes, You read it correctly!... I'm sure sure some went immediately to their preferred online (miss)info-site to see if there is indeed a pact between libdems and labour, or commies as many prefer to call.
My question girls and boys is: should we arrange an orgy party this weekend?... Sorry, that was meant to be post on another forum... In your view, how likely is a libdem/labour pact?
You can add extra info on how this will affect the output of the next GE, insult each other, etc |

what pact? it looks like a con/lib/brexit/green/pc/DUP/sf vs the Labour Party fight.
Everyone hates labour because they are only ones that save the UK from the chaos that the other parties bring.
I’m looking for stability, labour is the only party which can deliver that.

well it seems that everyone has to step aside for labour... but labour aren't willing to step aside for anyone else.....
I am glad that the local lib dems want to stand aside in canterbury for rosie duffield as she is as pro remain as they come and defending a wafer thin majority.....
i think jo swinson gets most things right... but she could have handled it better and let the local party decide rather than trying to force someone on them from central office...
same thing in chingford... where the greens are moving aside to let the labour candidate run at IDS.......
but labour don't move aside for anyone.... remember brecon and radnor when all the remain parties moved aside for the lib dems to run at the tories..... well everyone but labour!!!!
labour seem to want both sides of the cake...
the lib dem version of canterbury for example would be richmond (zac goldsmiths seat) when if labour moved aside.... they would probably win....
will them budge..... nope.... even if the local party want to...

okay... since you are in gloucestershire... lets use two examples....
if labour moved aside in cheltenham... the lib dems would have a brilliant chance of gaining that seat....
if labour moved aside in stroud.... the greens would have a better chance of gaining that seat....
lib dems and greens are moving aside for the other in both those seats....
nothing to stop labour from doing so..... so why don't they? |

The Leave side (Conservatives and Brexit) have more or less got themselves sorted out.
The Remain alliance, and that includes the majority of Labour, are determined to split their share of the vote.
We'll have a better idea tomorrow, when all the candidates have put their papers in. |

Having seen how terribly useless and damaging for the country the Tories have been during the past years, one needs to be either totally inept or purposefully negligent; I don't know which one would apply best to JC, as of today... |

Something similar was within the potential remit of a coalition a few weeks ago, with Corbyn as the temporary PM. The lib dems were then, as well as remain today, so totally committed to protecting the country from a hard, no or Johnson brexit that they refused to join the rest in considering it.
It's party and self before the people and country - those are the only principles that the libdems will consider. Labour offered boundaried opposition coalition proposals and Swinson et al have echoes of the old Conservative government power as their target. But primarily without the key coalition target, Labour, that could return them to power, helping to prevent the hardest of brexits. She is a unlikely to get an overall majority with her party but is auditioning for future acting roles during this dangerous era for the country. They are not focused on stopping brexit above self-interest. I don't think that libdems will put aside their greed this year. It could potentially reinforce their track record of being untrustworthy |

Perhaps if labour were in a capacity to offer libdems jobs, like No.10 just did with the brexit party candidates that won't contest conservatives... Why are there people still keen to vote conservative? Is it because they think by betting conservative (again) they will be right this time? "I'm a 65 year-old and I have always voted conservative because..." and then they fill the dots with whatever fear-based conservative ads' cliché. |

Corbyn is toxic to all Conservative and many Labour swing voters.
So the LibDems will not endorse him in any way whatsoever.
Labour has also, somewhat arrogantly not even wanted to have a dialogue.
That said, the Tory party is the UKIP and Brexit Party Ltd. Any Brexit will do, preferably a hard one so that the Boomer generation can have a national crisis they can claim to have overcome as they grew up watching WWII films and being told by their parents how easy they've got it |

But you must recognise that labour is not in a position to offer jobs to libdems not contesting labours... No.10 on the other hand, offered jobs in exchange for not having brexits contesting Tories; "country above party", right? |

Perhaps they did, perhaps they didn't
Inherently their is no real difference between them.
Anyway the Brexit Party Ltd is a company so people make business decisions rather than democratic policy decisions |
