My goodness, Labour's turn today.
Watching Ian Austin really put the boot into Labour in general and Corbyn in particular.
This is turning into the most fucked-up election ever.
Is it a surprise, though - Parliament and the country has been in meltdown for three years and the parties appear no different.

In my area:-
The Labour candidate for Bassetlaw (John Mann's old constituency) has been deselected by Labour NEC. The local Labour Party selected her over two Momentum candidates. Despite already sending out thousands of election leaflets, London has now stepped in and deselected her. The local Labour branch are furious.
Equally furious are Nottingham East Labour branch, the old constituency of Chris Leslie now at Change. Their preferred candidate was taken off the shortlist by London, as she is a white woman! Labour NEC decreed that only BAME and female candidates could be shortlisted.
Chris Williamson in Derby North, will have to stand as an Independent, as Labour NEC refuse to reinstate him to the party. One of JC's friends S well.
Still waiting news on whether Labour will put Keith Vaz forward in Leicester, as he is nominally banned from being an MP for 6 months.

The election campaign is quickly starting to resemble the shambles we have lived through these past three years.
If you thought this was a chance to reboot politics, it's looking like bad news. It's even creepier than before! |

how did we know emma would endorse what ian austin said....
so lets if she endorses what someone else on the other side has said....
Nick Conrad, a 34-year-old former radio presenter, was chosen on Wednesday evening to stand in the Broadland constituency in Norfolk for the conservatives.
In a 2014 radio exchange about r**e allegations, Conrad suggested women were “partially responsible” for sexual assault.
“I think women need to be more aware of a man’s sexual desire,” he said on BBC Radio Norfolk. “When you’re in that position that you are about to engage in sexual activity there’s a huge amount of energy in the male body.
“There’s a huge amount of will and intent and it’s very difficult for many men to say no when they are whipped up into a bit of a storm.” |

No surprise at all. What is a surprise is that borrowing money to improve the lot of millions of citizens is actually ok; but only if the Tories do it.
What's most sickening is that if the Tories - or their tribute band, New Labour - had given a shit about the people of Northern England, outwith the confines of general election campaigns, then Brexit would probably never have come about.
Millions of people wouldn't have been ignored and deprived to the point they wanted to give the Elite a well deserved kicking.
No wonder they took the chance when they were given it. |

He's quit.

Two Labour candidates in Scotland have withdrawn over social media posts.
One posted offensive words about Israel, the other had a go about her SNP opponent.
Seems the story is.... Live by social media, die by social media! |

She also said she would sit outside a cafe naked with pictures of Farage on her tits — or something like that — if Brexit didn’t happen end of last month. And as far as I know she hasn’t done that.

He actually left the BBC to stand as a candidate.
So that turned out well for him. Now no job, his remarks brought up again after all these years and now no chance of being an MP. |

Anyone who thought an election might restore some sanity to our politics will be most disappointed, I fear.
