He wont take on Johnson because he knows he will lose. Lib Dems will push them hard to be considered the opposition.

The 2017 Labour Manifesto was fully independently costed , unlike the Tory one , which was quite fortunate for the Conservative party as they had warned there wasn't a magic money tree for nurses but then one appeared for Arlene Foster

Define "costed".

Boris hasn't even remotely costed his promised tax cuts either. They are a lot more than corbyns. In the interest of fairness i think they are both promising things they think they are not going to asked to deliver so they promise the moon on a stick.

If you listened to his speech or read Labours published policies you would know that Labour policies are costed and the income sources are not increased debt. Unlike the last 9 years of Tory rule, which has managed to double the national debt while reducing living standards and life expectancy for all but the few at the top.

Watched his speech yesterday and tried to write down his promises heres some but sure i missed a lot too as so many.

a million new well paid jobs

high speed broadband across the country

cross rail in the north

free university fees (heard that last time which he backtracked on)

free prescriptions

restore buses across the country

nationalise all utility companies

build 1 million affordable homes in 5 years

32 hour week

£10 minimum wage to include 16 y/o,s

ban zero hour contracts

give 10% of companies to the workers

free public childcare

boost the develution budget to scotland and wales.

give unions back all the powers they had.

How much is that little lot going to cost and how many companies will we have left in the uk?

Are the tories doing a good job? The UN investigation of the government into increased poverty while Tory pals skim off taxpayer money to prop up failing businesses by their tory chums?

Same place Johnson and co have been. Meanwhile brexit has cost $billions but that's overlooked by many, as well as the $billions to cost us later, whilst the fantasists think there are magic money tree forests if brexit happens.

These far right liunatics would spend every penny we had on Brexit such is their devotion to the Brexit cult.

£1.2 Billion a ear from removing tax exempt charity status from private schools...

Nearly a TRILLION £ a year by forcing ALL businesses and individuals to pay tax on the profits they earn in the UK.

Billions of £ in savings by stopping the NHS 'corporate profit' gravy train.

As I said, maybe if you READ Labour party policy AND listened to JCs speech rather than the guff pumped out by tory shills you would already have the answers.

Just a thought.

Corbyn will be the death of the Labour party, he should ho now and let someone credible in.

Every policy announced yesterday though made sense.

As for the money, you may not have noticed we suddenly have a new found trillions to push this brexit shambles through.

There was no costing to his speech yesterday and not sure when you get your figures from as far as i can research the savings on the tax exemption on private schools is costed at 522 million.

£19 billion a year saved from brexit, so that should give him loads left to play with, surely?

And if there is not £19 billion, then surely Boris and his team must have been telling fibs?

Unthinkable.

Well the UK's lost the thick end of a billion quid a week since the referendum result so any idea there's going to be a Brexit divided to spend after we leave just doesn't exist.

I think I recall from the last GE that they'd converted franchises as they expired, as a primary approach. As others have highlighted, they have recently costed their strategies, letting simple viewers grasp it
