They are finally accepting (like a lot of us said they would) that the north will need special treatment and may not remain totally aligned with the UK.

I know me and a few others said that this would be boris's plan. That looks all but confirmed now.

Parliment will restart with a new mandate to push a deal through giving the north special treatment, and a deal could follow shortly after.

"Er, aren't you forgetting about the EU?"

The EU stipulated a soft brexit for northern Ireland only in the first place with a sea boarder so I don't see an issue there. As long as the GFA stands...

Have you read and listened to the views coming from Europe?

UK won't put its cards on the table.

Raab says in case it gets leaked. Officials believe it is being dressed up for the Conservative Party conference.

EU has rejected the idea of limiting it to agriculture.

Barnier and Juncker both addressed European Parliament today.

Verhofstadt rejected the idea that Stormont would get the power of unilateral veto.

.

All we need now is an English paramilitary group determined to kill Irish citizens, nail bombs in cork, car bombs in Wexford, give a confirmed call as if you don't really mean to murder innocents but lap it up with your followers over how "the government are out to get us" then after 40 years and hundreds of murders, they'll be seen as freedom fighters and nobody and no democratic vote will be able to do anything for fear of them starting back up again... Yep we've all learnt that lesson. .

Ain't that the lesson we've learnt when you get the democracy you don't want?.

No, it was the UK that proposed the original backstop for NI.

The UK extended it to the whole UK when Foster spat the dummy and refused to vote for it.
