Blair is remembered for giving us Iraq and Cameron will be remembered for giving us Brexit.

Two huge ideas written on the back of a fag packet without any thought for the consequences.

I don't think Cameron should really be blamed for actually giving us the referendum , It was in the Conservative party manifesto of the 2015 General Election , which they won ,,,, My problem is actually greater than that , my problem is that he resigned the morning after leaving absolutely no plan what-so-ever on what to do now that leave won . Although even then I do not simply blame Cameron , the entire Conservative party are to blame for the absolute shambles that has followed .. They used to stand up on parliament and say they had a long term economic plan time-after-time-after-time , the fact that not one of them had any idea what to do next ( and apparently still don't ) is utterly disgraceful . So while Cameron does deserve criticism for his inept failings the rest of the Conservative party are equally to blame , every one of them

He is actually an idiot.

You want to hold a referendum on leaving the EU then have them propose an independently verified plan.

Absolute total bullshit to hold a referendum "do you want to leave, yes or no", then step down like its not a shit storm you just caused.

In the 2014 Scottish referendum, Cameron instructed the UK Government NOT to make any plans for a Yes vote.

He thought it would send a signal to undecided voters he thought Yes could win.

He got away with it in 2014.

Cameron pulled the same stunt in 2016 and insisted on no contingency planning for a Leave vote.

So, we woke up the next day to learn Britain had voted to Leave, had absolutely no idea what to do next and the person who made it possible chucked in the towel.

Reckless.
