I invite you to agree or disagree with both of these statements before you start offering opinions.
It might be fun to answer the questions first
1. Lying regularly and without shame is not a good trait in a leader.
2. Boris Johnson lies regularly and without shame. |

1. Unknown as we've never had one that doesn't to compare against.
2. Depends what people class as a fact or lie depending which side they support.
Truth and facts no longer apply in politics since Trump & the Brexit referendum. |

This is it. Politics has moved from debating what to do with the facts and information available into the territory of debating the facts themselves. That's what leads to stuff like the 350 mil Brexit bus, and people openly denying that we have a climate emergency. It creates perceived uncertainty. As soon as you get to this stage then nothing gets done.
Of course Johnson lies. But he's on par with the general shift in western politics at the moment. |

Hard to tell, sometimes a leader has to lie and countries must have secrets.I think Boris says things without thinking, and also people love to take things out of context and play on this lying thing,he is no different to all polititopns but you pick on Johnson, tells morwe about you

The OP not happy accepting the Prime Minister lies says something ABOUT the OP?, yes I'd say that says he dislikes lying Prime Ministers / politicians
Your dislike at people discussing lying politicians says plenty about you though |

Rather a few of you don't really seemed to have understood the OP
Just try answering the two statements directly without trying to be slippery and politician.
Then explain any nuance or apparent contradiction.
Go on. Try |

Agree to both.
It may sometimes be needed to lie, where in the greater public good - potentially to conceal details of secrets that are better hidden from inm
immediate public knowledge
Boris appears to lie for his own benefit, as an enduring habit. |

Actually the OP politely asked you to answer both questions before offering additional commentary.
Would you care to oblige? |
