Nothing funny about BoJo at all, he plays the bumbling idiot while pissing all over everyone. His whole outlook on life can be summed up by looking at his welfare voting record (which has always been to cut benefits for the majority) and comparing it to his parliamentary expenses record which shows he even claimed the cost of his Remembrance Day wreath.

He's no choice but to respect the good friday agreement if he wants to lead the uk out of the EU with a deal.

If he tries to go down the road of a no deal scenario he will find himself pretty quick in the same muddy trenches that brought Theresa May down.

I'm more interested in who will be chancellor than FS.

We could be heading further into the twilight zone of politics.

The tory party will have deeper divisions under BJ than May.

A new chancellor ignoring all expert opinion they are given to continue with the brexit dream.

Court rulings about using the Queen to essentially avoid parliament changing its mind.

A possible rush to reopen stormont to prevent gay marriage and allow Brexit.

Is he?

Seems to me that he is in the process of getting us into another war in the middle east, this time with Iran.

Just to be clear he thinks that British Marines seizing an Iranian ship in either international or Spanish territorial waters is great but when Iran seize a UK ship that by all accounts (except ours and the yanks 9(who are looking to start a war) hit a fishing vessel, refused to stop and render aid as required by international law is totally wrong.

But hey, what do I know...

Boris will get Brexit done by not doing anything and having the EU kick us out, I don't know why you Brexiters keep ignoring this, we've already been told we're out on No Deal if we don't sort out shit out by then. The likes of Farage, Boris, etc are just playing a show to appease your lot.

All this talk of a deal or no deal.

Am I mistaken in that we already have a deal that the majority voted to get out of.

Isn't accepting or negotiating a new one just a change of terms and not what was voted for.

ROFL

You cannot be serious, surly!

We've had nothing but negatives for 44 years from the Leavers. They're even negative about most forms of BREXIT if it isn't exactly the BREXIT they individually want. It's easy to be positive if you're getting what you want but where was all this Leaver positivity from 1972 to 2016? Where was all this "can do, will do" attitude then? And where was this mythical Leaver positivity for May's BREXIT deal? Nowhere, that's where. Leavers are positive not negative - you're having laugh, right?

What the people who vote leave don’t realise is that Boris isn’t really anti EU and wants to leave. He only jumped on the leave bandwagon to improve his chances of becoming PM and fair play to him he has fooled the foolish "

Very true.

He climbs the greasy pole by telling people what they want to hear.

In this case, it was the rabid right and his message was tailored to them.

They're done now, forgotten about.

Who is the next electorate he needs to win - Parliament or the public?

Watch him become a chameleon and trot out a very different story for their benefit.

It's all about Boris.

We're throwing away being part of the club, and actually making it more likely that the EU will fuck us over I future. Says he's going to unite the country. No he fucking isn't. He can't even unite the Tory Party.

Hopefully, he won't last long as PM. Nor should he, considering how very few voters he actually represents - and he's been appointed by his Party; not elected by the country.

O Jeremy Corbyn!

I'm a middle-of-the-left man who voted to Leave the EU (there are many more of us than people think) - to put the un-reformable and completely-corrupted comfort-blanket of Brussels to the side, so we can forge a British constitution of our own. To make sovereignty actually mean something, instead of gradually selling it off.

One of the arguments I kept hearing against mine, was that voting Leave would eventually bring Boris into power. A man who's only real interest is in sheltering foreign fortunes. But when you are neck deep in the proverbial already, it is nothing less than messy getting out. He is there to be defeated. Finally. Let's go get him!

Certainty (about Corbyn) based on what though? I hear these lines of doom, but never the reasons behind that negativity (I have to say!). His tax proposals are merely at Thatcher's levels, he sits in the middle re Europe (so is a nationwide average that way) and he wants to open parliament to non-governmental think tanks to reduce proverty and increase industry. The fact he is still there, given he was a critic of Blair, shows he's a strong as an Ox. So where is the doom? What do people think he is going to do? Apart from rebuild public services that have been cut to death over years.

True - but this might actually play to Boris' strengths as a shameless bullshitter.

At the moment, you can tell the hardcore hardline brexiters absolutely anything, and they'll believe you just so long as they perceive you to be on their side.

So Boris could quite easily move to a very soft Brexit position which includes single market membership (which lets face it, is in fact his only option to get anything through the house, avoid a no confidence vote, and bypass any issues with TGFA) - but he'll rebrand it as a huge victory and what Brexiters said wanted all along (which is actually kinda true)

And because Brexiters have been so impreccably groomed to believe every word they hear from their masters, they'll believe that that was what they had wanted all along and hail Boris as a hero

I did qualify my position by making it clear that I was referring to the hardline hardcore brexiters.

There are plenty of reasonable people who voted to leave who would also be quite happy with a compromise - this would suit them too.

Cable? You are out of date, mate.

Corbyn and Boris are incomparable as people and politicians. Corbyn will open doors and build services, Boris will harbour foreign money and pretend that poverty isn't real.

Sure the Liberals under Jo Swinson will take Tory and Labour votes, but will move back downwards in a GE. Same with Farage.

Isn't that part of the problem?

That the ruling class in this country comes from such a narrow, privileged elite.

I mean, the Prime Minister who got us into this farce (Cameron) went to the same school and was in the same supper club at the same university as the next Prime Minister (Johnson) who is just as culpable for this farce.

It is such a small gene pool upon which to draw leadership of a country, and it keeps fucking us over.

These people know little or nothing about the day to day struggles of ordinary people, about growing up in a rundown neighbourhood in an inner city or wondering where the money will come from for next week's rent.

--This is really childish naivete. Corbyn has never suspended a single person just for criticising him (The Hitler comparison on top of ceaseless undermining was a step too far I'm afraid - you have to draw a line). You talk as if he is Donald Trump, reappointing people all the time! My God, have you seen his critics?! He has lived and worked with them for years - and is still there, while some are still trying to remove him. Winning a General Election will sort that out though.

And you know my politics by now - I am not a thug. Though I've only ever been to a couple of Momentum meetings (they weren't really for me) - you really shouldn't suggest that such decent and kind people are such. Isn't that a bit hypocritical considering where you stand on the antisemitism issue? Anger is NO excuse. I met some of the kindest people I've ever met there, and they simply don't talk the way you do.

Personally I do know a lot about the issues. Why don't you read my post in thread you started on the issue? It alludes to a lot of their difficulties on the matter.

"Sat in a pizza parlour in northern France.

Boris comes on the tv in the corner during a news update..

Pitre they all shout and burst out laughing

.it means Clown .he is the equivalent of a spitting image character over here.

Whatever way you look at it. If they dont take him seriously ,what about the rest of the world ??

Not everyone is like the French though...

"He’s a rampant militant with his momentum thugs. He shares platforms with anti semites, he has failed to stop infiltration from left wing extremists, he expels members for who critique his leadership

He panders to his base, worse as trump does. The man speaks big, but his policymakers control his decisions with len mclusky.

A true twonk.

He ain’t going to win a general election, because labour don’t know what it is, and is a protest party now. They are not a party of government, so fuck corbyn too.

It alludes to a lot of their difficulties on the matter."

Alistair Campbell, prime example, says he did not vote labour due to brexit gets kicked out. Labour lords expelled due to corbyn’s apathetic response to his introduction of anti semites in the party.

Corbyn is the other side of the extreme coin, like I said he called hezbollah and hamas his friends, they have one agenda, the destruction of the jewish state, both organisations are holocaust deniers, and thats purely anti semitic.

How can anyone support a man like that to be the next prime minister? I cannot trust him at all, because he is just as conniving as boris and trump, like I said its was too little too late, and the only reason why he has done anything is to score political points against the tories.

Corbyn can make all the pie in the sky promises he wants, he ain’t in power and the next GE will demonstrate he’s a weak leader.

Depends on how you look at it.

Just about everything we have been conditioned not to like about the EU, was thanks to her.

Freedom of movement and a large bureacracy deciding trading rules was down to her vision for the single market.

Greater political union via the Maastricht Treaty - down to her (she negoatiated our end of it Major merely signed it)

The expansion of the EU to include former eastern bloc countries - originally championed by her.

Brexiters absolutely hate how she weakly capitulated to the EU.

well certainly Margaret Thatcher and the Conservative Party were a major architecht of both Britain's relationship with the EU and the EU itself - coming in a close second place only to Helmut Kohl and the German CDC.

Like I said - that's why Brexiters hate Maggie with such a deep and abiding passion.

If you think Boris is bad - and he is - just wait until he's given top cabinet posts to intellectual lightweights and proto-fascists like Patel, McVey and Raab.

Boris likes other people to do the hard work for him - but the best Tories available won't work for him. All that's left comes from the very bottom of the barrel.

Things are going to get really bad.

--Look, it is pretty clear you are a committed Zionist and I am not. Fine, I don’t have to tell you that neither of us are alone. But as you will guess, Alistair Campbell is going to be a war criminal in my eyes. Those WMD's were an absolute lie designed to facilitate a ridiculous Middle Eastern war. Look where it got us? Like you, he is anti-Corbyn and a Zionist.. so you will give him your support. But his expulsion from Labour? He didn't only openly vote against Labour in a national election, he (unbelievably stupidly unless he wanted to be expelled) promoted it with his famous powers of spin. Corbyn HAD to expel him - you CANNOT run a party with that in your membership. Campbell can still campaign for Labour (ho hum) just not as a member. Party membership has to be for party voters! What else is it for? Corbyn from the get-go welcomed inter-party criticism (and has put up with an immense amount from scores of incumbent die-hard Blairites), but there has to be a line. Every other party would have done the same. Name a party in the world that would’t have at very least withdrew Campbell's membership? He went further though, and got himself expelled. Not many people cried when Campbell went.

Both Hamas and Hezbollah have been democratically elected bodies representing people who have been fighting the Jewish state over land rights for years. As it the case in the ME Muslim world, extremism has run through both. Just as in Israel, a modern state with (hence in my own opinion) much less of an excuse. Hezb and Hamas are strong in their own righteousness, yet also fractured and impoverished, so it is easy to find or provoke examples of anything from them. And yes, eventually you get the makeshift and homemade Palestinian bombs fired into Israel, that far too often lead to dead Palestinian children when Israel immediately retaliate. It’s the horrible state of affairs over there. Officially though, H and H both take the anti-Zionist, not antismitic line. They ask for equality and fairness towards themselves – and they have a human right to do that, regardless of yours or others take on ME history since 1947. Israel continues to occupy land that is officially Lebanon, Palestine and Syria.

Have you noticed that I have not called you anti Islamic? Yet the equivalent of me talking like you have done, but against the Israeli state not Muslim organisations, is almost asking to be classed as antisemitic in this political climate. It's just not a fair situation. I applaud anyone (from any side) who genuinely a) wants to and b) is prepared to act to resolve it all peacefully by listening and talking.

Maybe, but then everyday is a school day as I didn’t realise IOM is outside the EU.

Turns out that they are not even an associate member, and yet Manx goods can be freely traded/moved within the EU without non-EU tarrifs being applied.. something to do with Protocol 3...

Man tries solving all his problems with optimism

24th July 2019

A MAN inspired by Boris Johnson is to try to solve every problem he faces today with nothing more than sheer optimism.

Nathan Muir has decided that, since optimism can solve trade negotiations, overcome parliamentary opposition and put a man on the moon, it can probably perform similar miracles in everyday life.

He said: “Slept in this morning. I’m still gonna make it to work on time. You know why? Looking on the bright side mate.

“Then, undaunted by my verbal warning for lateness, I beat the recurring problem of low sales by telling everyone it’d be fine. Better than fine. Brilliant.

“After that I had three pints at lunch – who says it impairs my ability to work? Glass half-empty types – I told Rachel in accounts that she should join me and my girlfriend for a threesome, and that she’d love it. Because I really believe she would.

“Technically fired, I made my way home knowing I’ll be welcomed back with a promotion tomorrow, only to find Rachel told my girlfriend. Still, what a marvellous night to sleep on the street with all my things.”

Brexiter Tom Logan said: “Well it’s obvious where he went wrong. Not optimistic enough.”

It's not the end of communication when you are claiming that I don't believe Israel has a right to exist!! Are you trying to demonise me too?

Israel has a right to exist - as a multicultural, equality-based, non-apartheid country. And - in my opinion - as an officially secular one too. Otherwise the UN will never make sense of it. As a singular Jewish and Arab state, modern Israel could be the jewel in humanities crown. As it's turned out it's been a disaster under the sun.

END OF COMMUNICATION
