I feel that what Trump says is totally unexetable and would be here but in the US he gets away with it.

America is either very liberal or very racist two very great extremes not many shades of grey I found when there.Around 30 years ago I spend sometime in California and found people where very set in there views,many racist many liberal.My friend who lived there was married to a Mexican girl and had two half Mexican boys.They had a tough time at school and the family did have problems,not where they lived as they had great naighbours but in general when out together.

That was 30 years ago but it seems that things have not moved on.In this country they have moved forward a bit but the British are very two faced on this matter,many pretend not to be racist but they are.

I think you will find he said pickinnie and yes times have moved on thank god but you are obsessed with it. I cannot see too many people spending too much time analysing tweets Cyberland is very different to the real world.

It is for the citizens of USA to judge their president . There was an excellent letter in a British Newspaper yesterday about what a great job he is doing .His mission is to make America great again.He has restored American national pride and boosted the economy. The USA stock exchange is at an all time high. What a great endorsement of Trump and his policies.

It is probably best to base judgement on the silent minority, not the vocal minority who constantly criticise him. British investors in the Ashstread Group will have no complaints about his economic policies and the impact on the share price

American influence is used now for one thing and one thing only - to "make America great again".

It seems strange that "a politician" would attack 4 other politicians for criticising, disliking or wanting change, when that is why politician run for office.

It's also strange that the commentary on Trumps language of 'go back home if you don't like this place', doesn't seem to be pulling Trump up on First Amendment rights. The same freedom of speech he is using - with racist language.

He is using racism but arguing with a racist you are rolling with a pig in shit. Though an American saying 'I can criticise whatever, as I have the freedom to', would take race out of the question or focus on it.

People are instead only focused on Trumps language and the racism behind it instead of their rights to dislike anything they see unfit. It is almost a race to see who is the most American and too, a given that his freedom of speech rules theirs.

I don't think my last paragraph was worded as well as it could have been, they were just thoughts at 1am..

I am meaning Murica seems to be turning into a rich v's poor a white v's other nation, where Donald is "freely" able to portray that go get 'em meme, if you like. Civil rights are only just being brought into question with Trumps wives and likely other who were not seen as being born there.

I have only seen one or two black congressman/politicians .. the last one I saw was shouting too much so never bothered listening to what he was saying.

There will no doubt be an indictment at some point and his house will crumble.

I think people especially those on this site should forget what is going on in America .Ireland takes in asylum seekers. Put them in old unused summer camps and hotels for years gives them 2euros a week .and won't let them work.italy won't let the ship's dock in their ports and leave women and children on board for weeks .Greece treats them like animals ..great Britain blocks them at French port of calies. My answer is the Definition of racism - prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

Nationality is a proxy for race. It's an easy concept to grasp.

No I never got upset by it, once or twice when my child received it but I think as parents we get upset at all forms of rejection towards are children, it's an emotive subject at the best of times.

Im maybe of that interesting point in society where I grew up in a multi ethnic neighborhood where everybody was a different colour but we all thought the same way so maybe I just don't see racism in the way you might through your life experiences.

Most racists do not even realise that they are racist. They come from a privileged position, where they cannot even see their own privilege. They don't understand how the things they say against a minority group could possibly be offensive, as if those remarks were turned around against them they would agree "yes i am from a privileged group, thank you for the compliment". They do not have the empathy to appreciate the position of the people they insult, or even that they are insulting. They speak from a position of "that's the way things are, and it's okay for me, so I can't see how it can be bad for anyone else".

It's about his only ability to pull together his band of clueless supporters, to stoke their hatred of others, in the hope that he can gain re-election from that core of straight, white people where he's been cultivating their viewpoints for a couple of years.

He'll alienate others - those who aren't particularly prone to racism, many minorities etc and floating voters who may pull away from the republicans. First, it is not just about Omar. He is also talking about three US born Congress women.

Omar moved the the USA when she was 10 and is a US citizen. She didn't choose to go anywhere.

Omar has not shown any sympathy for terrorist groups. Trump just says that she has.

Have you checked yourself? What she actually said, not what was reported.

There is record employment as the continuation of a process that started from 2010. Look at the graph. It's a straight line. The same with GDP and the stock market.

It just has not been broken.

New jobs, like in the UK, have not been permanent and full time. They have been part time and casual. Like here, the definition of employed includes just an hour a week. Like here, if you are not looking for work because you have given up or are I'll, you are not unemployed.

Why should black, Hispanic or female employment diverge from any national trend? Are they any better paid on average or do they still tend to hold the most menial positions?

Tax cuts were or corporations and the wealthy. The rich have benefitted by far the greatest amount.

By my own definition i acknowledge that i have a privileged position in society, i won a lottery by being born with white skin, and with parents who were not rich but got on okay and didn't abuse their children. I acknowledge that the societal background i have knew very little about other cultures, and that i have had to work at getting to know about those cultures. I acknowledge that as a child, and as a younger adult there have been times that i believed things and thought things and said things that i now realise were profoundly, but unknowingly, prejudiced and racist in attitude. (And homophobic, transphobic, ableist, mysogynist). I am rather glad for myself that these have not been systematic attitudes, but occasional almost unknowing attitudes. That still does not excuse them. I acknowledge that there are still occasions where i may feel or even say things that will cause offence to others. However i acknowledge these flaws in my character, i try to empathise with others, i try to do better.

So yes, by my own definition i am racist (and homophobic and transphobic and ableist and mysogynist and many other prejudices), but i know it and i am trying to do better.

Omar moved the the USA when she was 10 and is a US citizen. She didn't choose to go anywhere.

There is record employment as the continuation of a process that started from 2010. Look at the graph. It's a straight line. The same with GDP and the stock market.

Ah the old 1984 thought crime, people who think differently should be in mental asylums, rehabilitated, probed, locked away for the good of the masses?.

Of course there was a time when all those things were the norm of society and still are in some societies, it's a good job we were given the ability to talk and think freely, to be free from persecution from the state, it got us away from that norm where today the UK is according to the UN one of the most tolerant countries on this planet we call earth!.

Thank God we didn't listen to voices like yours way back then, I just hope nobody makes that mistake in the future.
