Am I right in thinking both candidates will need to declare all campaign donations - in money or kind - in the register of MPs' interests?

"Am I right in thinking both candidates will need to declare all campaign donations - in money or kind - in the register of MPs' interests?

"

Yes. Although this campaign was so long coming, albeit with advance knowledge, that it supported tons of money to be donated to help the needy politicians for whatever reason, in advance of the official dates. Any Telegraph media messages, from the employer of one of the candidates, would also be valuable but would be the opinion of the 'independent' outlet.

Good job the leader of the labour party doesn't have any links to terrorists or brutal dictators

That's your defence eh? Does that justify the staggering hypocrisy of the Tories?

I don't really think that a back bench opposition mp making preliminary contact with the political leaders of a terrorist organisation with an aim towards ending the violence, at the request of the government of the day, is comparable with a potential prime minister being directly funded by a foreign dictatorship that has a record of human rights violations.

In my opinion any politician who is found to have been bought by foreign money should be immediately disqualified from all political office, and if possible prosecuted for treason. However this would eliminate most right wing mp's and mep's, and probably a few on the left as well. We might get honest government though.

I would think that most people are only interested in a politicians policies , not his source of funding . As you do not appear to support the Conservative party it makes no difference to you in any event . It is the opinions of the fully paid up members of the party that count.

Who am I defending? If you took any notice of anything other than all your left wing rage you will see that I think Hunt and Johnson are both twats. Just pointing out your deloved socialist leader has links with far less desirable people.

Oh, that makes it ok then. It happened a long time ago. If Jimmy Saville was alive he'd be able to use that defence (the more astute will recognise the link

a) hansard disagrees with you... which is why all mp's have to declare interests and they have to declare interests verbally before they make speeches in the house of commons...

for example if you are getting money from oil companies.. and you suddenly changed policy to ban solar for example... i think people would rightly ask questions

b)according to hansard Boris johnson has taken on £325,000 of contributions in the last 3 months... absolutely we should know who is funding who.....

for example... we don't know yet who exactly is funding the brexit party.. (we only know farage was taking money from aaron banks because of superb investigative journalism)

It's of no surprise that Boris Johnson is being funded by wealthy people who have an interest in the UK leaving the EU.

These include hedge fund managers, financiers and a regular name that often crops up, Anthony Bamford, of JCB fame.

For the right to contest the membership of the Conservative and Brexit Party, Hunt and Johnson each had to pay £150,000 to party.

The fuckers are broke.
