The EU does NOT think The morons who the UK has sent to represent the UK are a representation of the UK?
If the EU does think the morons who turned their backs are a representation of our countries perspective then it will think we are nothing more than petulant school children |

I'm not aware of what incident the OP is referring to, could someone give details please? Sorry if this is something in the national news that i ought to already be aware of, i stopped watching tv news or listening to it on the radio some time ago, because of the severe danger of me battering the device due to frustration at the sheer stupidity of events happening in the world these days... Basically, they copied the members of the NDSAP in the Reichtsag in 1930, when they turned their back on an address by Dr Fritz Loewethal.
It's one of the iconic images of the Nazis.
The Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (NDSAP).

Really!
I’m sure there are umpteen examples of political statements being made that include turning ones back when an anthem is played that are also not linked to being a Nazi.
They have been democratically elected on a anti EU agenda, should they not represent the mandate? |

How exactly?
They have been voted in to represent the interests of those opposed to EU federalism so surely they should do that?
The comparison to Sinn Fein or Nazis is ridiculous, in my opinion. |

The Brexit fan club often to refer to the queue of countries waiting to following the example of the UK and walk out of the EU.
How many MEPs from other countries turned their backs on the opening session of the Parliament?
None.
Nada.
Zilch.
Brexiteers, you are well and truly on your own with this one.

Farage and co have wanted to take the money from the EU but have no respect, unless it involves money for them.
The EU generally appreciate that people in the UK are generally very different to the awful representatives that they've generally encountered from the UK government, as well as have become MEPs from Brexit/Ukip. |

Rightly or wrongly, they wanted to show that the EU anthem was not a National Anthem.
The powers that be had classed it with the same status and asked every MEP to stand.
Because they showed dissent en masse, it makes the news. Apparently the dissent of one Tory who sat through the proceedings and dozens of European MEPs has gone unreported.
Remain bias perhaps and it appears that many people have been taken in by the lack of balance. |

i think the difference between the lib dems and the brexit party is that lib dems are there to be part of the political process.... whereas the brexit party position is there are there NOT to be a part of the political process...
thats where you can use the comparison of the brexit party and sinn fein...
sinn fein take the stand to not send mp's to parliament... brexit party voted against all issues (even those that benefit britain such as laws changing lorry safety for example, the ban in the ivory trade being another, food safety, extra protection of holidaymakers, greater transpacy in clinical medical trials.. ect ect )
remember farage was famously part of the EU fishing committee and attended all of 1 of the 75 meetings they had when he was on it..... |

Ah yes, Nige's Brexit Party following the example of the NAZI Party, but lets not forget the equally outrageous showing of the LibDems walking round the EU parliament in their orange T shirts emblazoned with 'bollox to brexit'.
Not sure which should be most insulted, those they represent or the whole of the EU whose democracy they are bringing into disrepute. With luck both lots will be censured and banned without pay or expenses for a suitable period (maybe till 31 Oct). |

Eu, insulting, disrepute .... hmmmmm
Ursula Von Der Leyen - new president of E.U. - being investigated by the Bundestag for "misconduct" for allocation of defense contracts
Christine Legarde - new head of ecb - convicted of criminal negligence whilst in charge of the IMF. Illegal funds were just “resting” in her own account.
Josep Borrell Fontelles - new High representative for foreign affairs and security policy - criminal conviction for serious insider trading.

At no point did I suggest that this is the only thing that has brought the European Parliament, Commission or any other part of the EU's apparatus of government into disrepute. However I still maintain that such conduct in the Parliamentary Chamber needs to attract some sort of serious disciplinary action. That you are reduced to a 'what aboutism' to defend the indefensible betrays the total bankruptcy of your position. |

Really? Where have you been for the last 6 weeks? No deal is not Boris's policy as he's said clear as day at EVERY conservative party husting over the last 6 weeks, that he's going to try to get a deal, but if a deal can't be reached he'll leave with no deal on October 31st.
Interesting that people like Amber Rudd, who were previously against no deal, are now saying they would be prepared to back no deal, if a deal can't be reached by October 31st. Maybe the European election results will have focused the minds of many Tory MP's.
Also (and you always do this) you are overlooking all those Labour MP's in Leave voting areas of the Midlands and the North. 26 of them who wrote a letter to Corbyn telling him not to back a 2nd referendum. Many of them have said if it comes to a choice between no deal, and no brexit then they will vote for no deal. |

Many of them have said if it comes to a choice between no deal, and no brexit then they will vote for no deal. "
two things...
1) interesting that you mention Amber Rudd.... quick question, do you know what her majority is in here hastings and rye seat?
its 346.... remember when people were talking about how tight peterborough was! peterborough is in effect roughly twice as safe!
so i would suggest her position change comes from one of self preservation! in that any challenge from a brexit party candidate would likely split the vote!
2) if you think the conservatives are now going to gain seats in places where they haven't before... then you have to acknowledge that Bojo is so Toxic in scotland that the conservatives would lose every seat they have to the SNP |

"i think if his 1st speech from outside no.10 is to make "no deal" in effect official government policy.... i think you may see some "jump"....
i thought 1.5mp's bolting for an over/under so no one could push was an interesting starting point...
Yet here we are three years later
The country is divided. There is no clear mandate for what you demand however much you stamp your feet.
The fact that your mendacious hero is refusing to rule out suspending Parliament to force an outcome against the UK parliamentary sovereignty that you claim to hold so dear is ample evidence of that.
Amber Rudd wants to stay in Cabinet for her own reasons.
Margot James resigned to vote against prorogation and Hammond and Gauk arw leaving if Bodger is elected.
The EU election results focus the minds of those in remain supporting seats just as much as leave ones. Uxbridge for instance.
The majority of the Labour party wants to remain and certainly does not want no deal.
It's the refuge of the naieve to believe in clarity in a situation like this. |
