Yes, I am in London and therefore have a say. He doesn't get my vote. He got pulled apart recently when he did a forum here. |

In Washington DC, where Trump calls home in the White House, the murder rate is 11 times higher than London per 100,000 people.

"Given that Boris Johnson did a better job should answer the question "
did a better job when?
spending the money on water cannons that were illegal to use in the uk...
or sending money on new buses that were actually more expensive to upkeep.. and more expensive to run than the ones they replaced....
or seeing over the fiasco with the olympic stadium post 2012... and basically giving away a stadium at the loss of almost 100m pounds to the taxpayer....
so please lets not saint boris quite yet |

As stated above, people living in London are the only ones qualified to express an opinion. But to add, I said worse then Boris. So if the above is an indicator of Boris' reign it says a lot for how bad Khan's is. |

Garden Bridge, broken promises etc also spring to mind..
It's probably too early to make an objective comparison and one based on one aspect highlighted by trump is certainly not a balanced one..
That anyone would listen and take heed of the inane ramblings of trump in relation to criticism of anyone over the numbers of homicides is probably a sign of the Times..

Boris also chose to up sticks and become an MP to further his career whilst still mayor. That's how much he cared... |

No, especially, if you're referring to Trumps comments.
The current situation with knife crime is a direct result of cuts to youth services as a result of austerity.
If you want to point the finger understand the facts. |

Maybe so, but Kahn started an argument with the Trumpster and is still reeling after having his arse handed to him.
Should have kept his fuckin nose out. |

It may be so that Khan shouldn't have commented on Trump's campaign pledge to ban Muslims from the US that started all this but the only person that come out of the ongoing spat looking like a prized twat is Trump.
To say Khan should be sacked for a murder rate that is so many times lower than Washington DC murder rate is truly stupid, moronic and delusional to say the least and makes Trump look a complete twat |

If Trump spent the same amount of time demanding the removal of every pro gun politician in America because of the mass murders of Americans with semiautomatic firearms as he has demanding Khan's removal because of the knife crime deaths in London then I would agree with him. Until then I think the apricot arse should keep his opinions and fake suntan to himself. |

Well done you, watching television. Back in the real world only people living in London are qualified to comment, you don't. The only other person living in London who has commented doesn't think the current mess he is overseeing is all his fault. I respect their opinion even if I don't agree entirely. |

I don't agree with having an elected Mayor , elected councils should do the job appointing a ceremonial Mayor for opening garden fetes etc , and on a similar subject the idea of politicising the police with votes for police and crime commissioners is so much against what the police are supposed to be ie non political |

For clarity then, Khan seems fine so far.
I cannot see that he has done anything particularly wrong and it will take some time for many of his policies to work through.
Then we'll know.
None of Trump's business though. |

What is Major khan's record so far on his election pledges? I'm sure you good London folk can put us all straight on this one.
I haven't been to London for a very long time. I have fond memories of the place and I worked there for four years. I have no idea what it's like now as that was back in the early 90s |

The Mayor of London has only planted 175,000 trees despite a pre-election pledge to pay for two million in his first term.
He promised to make London the "greenest" city in the world by 2050.
He's falling short at present.
Time for a green mayor.
Weve tried the posh boy boris and now the Asian kid from a council estate called Khan .How about we try someone who's a green or libdem. |

My own view is that the office of Mayor should be abolished as it's a massive waste of money in part due to the mayor having very little power or actual authority (as demonstrated by the water cannon fiasco).

On what grounds? I don't agree with him on quite a few things but that's not reason enough to sack him before his term is up. If he's as bad as that then he'll loose the next mayoral elections. That's good enough for me.

He can not be 'fired' as such.
He was democratically elected. It is therefore up to the people of London if they wish him to continue as Mayor when he comes up for re-election |
