"What difference will her resignation make? She cannot command a majority of MPs in the Commons. Replace her as Tory leader with a Brextremist and he or she certainly won't either. The Queen could be in for a difficult time trying to figure out her next PM. " Well will not miss her can't stand the women another prat of a Tory brexiter.

"I quite liked her considering she is tory x I was pleased she became Tory leader. I thought a woman's judgement would be good like Thatchers, but she's been fucking hopeless and will probably go down as the worst politician / PM ever. " Andrea or Teresa lol x

Whatever happened to the halcyon days of 'they'll be begging us not to go, they need us more than we need them, they will fold once we start to negotiate'..

Being elected leader of the Conservative is no guarantee of becoming PM. A hard Brexiteer will see moderate MPs abandon the Conservative Party. He or she will be unable to command a majority of MPs. The Queen will be unable to appoint him or her PM.

Won’t we get “as good as, if not a better deal with the EU than we have as members?” In fact it is Perhaps Ann Widecombe who was right and not the Brexit champions. “It might not be as bad as WW2.”
" In fact it is Perhaps Ann Widecombe who was right and not the Brexit champions. “It might not be as bad as WW2.”" Yeah, imagine going into an air raid shelter and discovering half the feckers had voted for it!

"In her resignation letter Andrea Leadsom says --- " a second referendum would be dangerously divisive " ----- Did she actually believe that the first referendum would not be dangerously divisive ??? " They are frightened of having another referendum because they know they would loose this time.

"In her resignation letter Andrea Leadsom says --- " a second referendum would be dangerously divisive " ----- Did she actually believe that the first referendum would not be dangerously divisive ??? " Dangerously divisive for the Conservative Party. It is the fundamental flaw with the Conservative Party - the inability to separate the interests of the party from the interests of the country. They think they are one and the same thing.

I thought a woman's judgement would be good like Thatchers, but she's been fucking hopeless and will probably go down as the worst politician / PM ever. " Just quoting you as yours is the general consensus on the thread, much as the opposition isn't liked much either. I personally think she's pretty savvy and out of the mess she has a deal the public asked for but Parliament don't want to be responsible for. Savvy as, when Bojo was put in as Foreign Sec, everyone thought 'wtf', but she showed the public what a fool in office he is. IDS in as work and pensions installing his Universal Credit idea, then running as soon as he could. Putting D. Davis in as Brexit Sec, showed what a poor negotiator he was. Replacing him with Legal Eagle, Brexiteer Raab, showing he knew nothing about borders - Dover. Leadsomme in as Leader after her candidacy for PM made her stand up for Brexit instead of sitting from the side lines. Then there was Williams and his Russia gaffe. The only one who has stayed under the radar is Gove as Environment Sec who's done reasonably well. As a Brexit PM, she has gathered together a deal that has everything the people that voted Brexit wanted, it is just the hyperbole surrounding it that is getting it voted down. An interview with a Labour MP on Daily Politics yesterday - Jo Coburn said, "there's now a Customs arrangement, Backstop changes, worker rights and environment changes and you are still not voting for the deal". The reply was; "we haven't seen the details", Coburn: "so you haven't read it", answer: "no". Conversation continued to how Labour would never vote for a Tory deal.

" The only thing JC wants is a general election because he believes that will give him a mandate to carry out a restructuring of the country so that it becomes fairer and less London centric. I don't know if he will get the numbers in parliament to change anything but at least he has managed to keep his party fairly unified in comparison to the disastrous failings of the conservatives who having dismissed all the old grandees of the party have come up woefully short of candidates for leader and have nothing left in the bank. Sad face

" So he as leader of the labour party should not want to be PM? Oh and lets not forget that this all came about because a silly Eton educated posh twat didn't get that his austerity budget was raising a groundswell of opinion against the London elite and that these people were going to be daft enough to believe that UKIP were the answer. So hardly what you would call a catastrophic failure of judgement on JCs behalf?

" . Hehehe lol , the tories promise a in/ out referendum in their 2015 manifesto ( probably without any plan ) the tories grant their manifesto pledge ( as Clegg is no longer able to give them an alibi ) the referendum goes the way of the right wing tories , who have been wanting to leave since the 1970s , the Tory leader , after promising to take us out of Europe announces he is quitting the day after the referendum ( the first sign that there actually isn't a plan ) , the Tory MPs then elect a new leader ( the quality of those standing is so poor it doesn't reach the member vote ,), the new Tory leader appoints Davis as brexit secretary he turns up to negotiate with no paperwork saying " it's all in my head " he goes is replaced by Raab who is unaware of how important the Dover to Calais crossing is , May then gets a deal that would have passed but the Tory MPs who want to leave the EU vote against the deal meaning we remain , then some change their mind , then some more change their mind , then some change their mind back , then the Tory MPs who say we had a vote in 2016 so we can't have another vote want another vote because they don't like the 2016 vote which they had to elect their leader ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, and you say it's Corbyn's fault ,,, lol hehehehe lol
