Shapiro was foolish not to educate himself about Neil. He obviously thought he was there to promote his book. Had he, he probably would not have accepted the interview.
Neil’s style is petty confrontations and that’s what he did- not that the subject matter was petty, but his style of interviewing is. In the end Shapiro walked out of petulance and possibly boredom as he wasn’t talking about himself. I have no time for the man bug in his defence- the clips titled ‘Destroys....’ are third party - he may well have reduced a girl to tears but bless, he bought her a cup of coffee afterwards. That makes it all fine......doesn’t it?  |

Actually, if he had educated himself about Neil he would have probably accepted assuming he was going to get a friendly, sympathetic interview - his whole premise throughout the interview was that Neil was asking him awkward questions because he must have been left wing - he wasn’t prepared to acknowledge the fact that whatever Neil’s political leanings, he was there in a journalistic capacity to ask Shapiro about his book and put his past comments into context given that Shapiro’s book is all about how American political discourse has become angry. Neil’s point was that Shapiro and his positions on various issues and his approach to debate has contributed to the anger.
It’s a masterclass in how to avoid falling into a debate about killing kids that seems to be Shapiro’s default position.
Hopefully now, his charade of being some kind of commentator worthy of being given serious credibility, is shot to pieces and he goes the way of other virulent right-wingers who even as they laud personal freedoms and liberty seem hell bent in taking away a woman’s right to decide what she can do with her body.
Toxic, screechy man-baby. Fuck right off.

If he had educated himself about Neil, he’d have known that he is a cussed, argumentative, contrary individual, in varying degrees depending on his alcohol consumption, and have been ready for it. I suspect Shapiro’s ego considers itself capable of overriding anyone else’s intellect but he met a similar ego and bailed like a spoiled teenager. |

Owen Jones is an utter tool. He makes a virtue out of pointing out things which 90% of sane people would agree with. He thinks that women should have more equality, that children shouldn't go hungry, that gaybashing is a terrible thing, Julian Assange shouldn't be handed over to the US and that Brexit is not being handled well.
He's also well known for pointing out the bleeding obvious in inch high capital letters. This week, he is warning that Trump (a man not known for his subtlety or sanity) may start a way with Iran (a country that Trump is known not to like very much). Next week, Jones might warn that Brexit could lead to another referendum in Scotland or that climate change is not just about early/long summers. Cheers, Owen. |

Did you ever watch the clips of him storming off a discussion show on sky news or get dismantled by andrew neil on the bbc? Or you could just type into you tube 'owen jones gets owned' ... he's not good at any job. I personally think that he has no job really.
He's really well behaved when in his own crowd but set someone in front of him that disagrees with him?!... it's telly gold.
Timmy Throbingscum had a milkshake chucked at him the other day (lols)....and not a lot was mentioned about it...he gets called a (owen jones impersonation coming up)
NATSEE, FASHISST! and again...not much happens. If little Jonsey had milkshake thrown at him then arrests would be made...if someone calls him a nazi then his tears would fill a bath...he's a wan*er...trust me...cos i'm one too!! |

Owen Jones is an utter tool. He makes a virtue out of pointing out things which 90% of sane people would agree with. He thinks that women should have more equality, that children shouldn't go hungry, that gaybashing is a terrible thing, Julian Assange shouldn't be handed over to the US and that Brexit is not being handled well.
He's also well known for pointing out the bleeding obvious in inch high capital letters. This week, he is warning that Trump (a man not known for his subtlety or sanity) may start a way with Iran (a country that Trump is known not to like very much).
