No deal, or no brexit.

No deal will get voted down tonight. Let's see how many MPs go against their constituents wishes though.
Then the big problem rears its head. We have to ask the EU for an extension, which they may or may not grant. Two months solves nothing. We are no nearer a consensus than we were two years ago. Longer means that we are into EU elections, which then gets messy.
The EU may well say No to a extension, and with 15 days to go, means that we would have to inevitably revoke Article 50 and stay in.
Not being cynical but the EU may well play their Joker on this one..... |

Suez was the biggest humiliation of Great Britain since the 2nd World War with our humiliating IMF begging bowl incident in the 1970’s not much behind. If the U.K. is forced to revoke A50 in the face of being politically unable to secure a reasonable way out of the EU - that will outstrip anything in terms of international humiliation. Something like that should then result in an almighty shake up of U.K. politics and ironically a benefit of such a move might be that the long standing Brexit motivators might actually get addressed. |

The only sane way forward is to rescind Article 50. In terms of national humiliation, who cares. We have lived with it for 3 years. None of my international colleagues understand why we went down the route we did, but all of them can see why we reject Brexit now. It was a pipedream for a few, and a protest vote for many.
We need to rescind Article 50, May should stand down as PM allowing the Conservatives to choose a new leader for the party conferences and then we should have a general election.
Whilst this is totally a Conservative Party mess, if all my dreams came true, I’d like Corbyn to stand down as well - he is guilty of not standing up to the Tory’s, and being too weak to make the most of their in fighting. The man is not a leader.

Entirely possible, said to the boss last night that the EU who are probably pulling their hair out at the shambolic incompetence we have thus far shown may well once and if no deal is off the table say yes you can have an extension but only if you form a cross party coalition to get this through..
simply tinkering about with an already twice rejected deal to satisfy a party split is pointless and letting the erg etc take the reins is not going to happen so why should they grant one..

Brexit was specifically orchestrated by rich individuals so they can control the population further without the restrictions put on them by the EU. And with the bonus of them not having their tax loopholes closed.

I really do not understand what all the fuss is about. All it now needs is a 3 way referendum with the 3 main options on the paper with 2nd preference. There........ problem solved and we can all go back to sleep again. |

However, under the European Withdrawal act that was passed by parliament, a no deal brexit on 29th March is the default position if parliament fails to accept or agree to any withdrawal agreement.
They can have whatever votes they like in the house of commons, the law is the law - and they are the ones who passed it |

Only the pm can revoke it so that wont happen,they will probably ask for an extension but barnier has already said there is no point thats the best we are going to get so the default position is to leave with no deal on the 29th. |
