The bottom line is we held a democratic referendum and whether you like the outcome or not the vote was to leave. I didn't actually want that, but as that was the outcome as a true believer in democracy I have to support it.

Europe doesnt want us to leave so they negotiated with that as their 'target' and we have allowed them to do so instead of negotiating with the target of leaving the EU we have negotiated with the target of wanting to stay in partially ie: common trade, open borders etc. This was never going to happen but we could have had a reasonable deal if we had negotiated from a point of strength.

Gods I cant believe Im saying this but I actually agree with what Nigel Farage said about Theresa Mays last ditch attempt:

"Is that she could say to Mr Juncker.

Now look we have an EU withdrawal act. It is there in law and it only changes if I decide as Prime Minister with my Government and Cabinet to change that law.

Unless you start being reasonable I may have no choice but to leave with no deal at 11pm on March 29.

And do you know something, it is going to hurt you an awful lot more than it's going to hurt me.

I wonder, I just wonder whether she has got the spirit, the strength and the resolve to do it.

I do hope so, but I doubt it.”

I do think and believe if we had negotiated with that attitude and from that point of strength we wouldn't be in this mess and their would be a fair deal on the table we could all agree to.

How many votes are politicians having?

We have a ge every 4 years knowing in 4 years there will be another

The vote was 3 years ago and people have changed their minds

The only reason leavers are scared is because their nationalistic romantic dream is crumbling

This country is lacking strong leadership, the Brexit issue has shown me what utter chaos our government is in.

MPs voted to extend Brexit to June, but the majority of those voting against an extension were Tory. So they voted against all May's deals, voted against no deal and now they voted against an extension. What do they want exactly?

I don't think I could ever vote for the Conservative party or the Labour party ever again after this. The Liberal Democrats have also betrayed their namesake and have shown themselves to not be democratic because they never accepted the result of the referendum. Liars and charlatans.

I don’t think Labour or even the Tories would be putting much time and effort into attracting extremists like you. So I’m sure they’re not too worried.

So I'm an extremist now because I refuse to support the shambolic main parties and I want to leave the EU?

You hold extreme views on immigration, Brexit and other issues yes.

My view on immigration is that it should be controlled, as opposed to your view that we should have open borders and the doors flung open to anyone who wants to come in. Which view is more extreme?

You appear to label anyone who disagrees with you on here as extreme. Take a look in the mirror. "

Firstly. That's not what you've said before on your long incoherent and misinformed rants about immigration in the past.

Secondly, I have never mentioned my opinion on immigration on the fab forums, so you've made up some lies about me to try to win some kind of argument about your extreme views not being extreme, and something non-existant being extreme.

As we all know, immigration is a non-issue, made to divide people who should be standing together against the rich and powerful.

Just for clarity, Britain has never had an open door policy on borders and immigration. It is controlled to an extent already. In terms of EU settlement, we have always been able to place restrictions (& return to their orignating country) on people who are not working or a student after 3 months. Britain has tended not to impose these restrictions, but that wasn’t the EU’s fault. It is crazy to blame the EU for immigration.

I'm against the whole concept of it. We should be an independent country, having our own independent immigration policy drawn up by our own elected representatives in Westminster.

EU free movement is also discriminatory in that it favours EU citizens and puts citizens from the rest of the world at a disadvantage. I think we should have a points based immigration system based on skilled workers that we need that treats all foreign citizens equally no matter where in the world they come from. I don’t disagree on the points bit, just on where you draw the boundaries. We can already apply most of our own laws by not being in the Schengen area, which means we can manage our borders, should we want to.

In terms of Westminster making our laws, it would seem that our politicians can’t organise there way out of a damp paper bag, so placing any reliance on them to ‘fix’ our problems is optmistic to say the least. Perhaps embracing the EU properly and sending high calibre people to be our MEPs who genuinely embrace being part of the EU from a British perspective might be a better answer?

Any jobs lost or gained, prices gone up or down? Anything? No.

Economics runs countries not politicians, don't worry about it.

...but the economic climate is overseen by....politicians, jobs lost? Nissan, Toyota,JLR...other factors also but this mess must play a role...

Nissan? diesel sales down no job loss' I could go on...... Lidles announced any plans to change their status in the UK? No......why the full stops?"

i like full stops to make a pause...or---perhaps you prefer, I wasn't saying there were not other factors...___---in fact I did, however I really can't believe that hand in hand with diesel drop off goes other reasons, for example the uncertainty surrounding Brexit & tariffs (pause)making no difference. If it didn't why don't Nissan use the UK to manufacture electric cars & replace one car with another. Not sure what Lidl (or Aldi ) have to do with this.

We are doing exactly what the Brexit voters , voted for

Brexit voters say they deserve intellectual respect

That's good , because the senareo we have now was always going to be , it certainly isn't what we were told , it's of course not what Brexit voters wanted , however them wanting something was not will not cannot alter what has is or will happen

Thus logic tells us an intelligent Brexit voter expected the UK to be in this utter mess and voted for it

Thanks a lot

you are being disengenious...

1) if an EU citizen uses the NHS, that country gets billed by the NHS, they are not costing you a penny!.... so you acknowledge that in the 2nd part when you talk about ex pats healthcare being paid by the nhs... but not with people coming here, because it didn't suit your narrative....

2) if a person is working here, they are paying taxes here... they are having to spend money in our shops, which again generates the economy... which provides people with jobs.... who then pay more taxes....

i don't begrudge anyone saving a bit of money to send back home.... that was exactly what the windrush generation did!, they weren't planning on staying here... they just did! they sent money back home to support families, and a lot of people still do.....

so do you begrudge those people doing it as much as eu nationals... or is your distain only released for specific people...

"Bring on an election. I hope you lot will remember the chaos this lot of pathetic numpties have caused and vote a good majority of them get voted out . They all deserve to go for what they have done. If your MP failed to in your eyes. You must vote them out ASAP. Do not forget or forgive them. I for one definately won't ever forgive this utter shambles that we have in parliament

I'll now be voting for Nigel Farage's new Brexit party.

So you’re suggesting that only people that voted a certain way in a referendum on a single issue should be represented in parliament. Doesn’t sound very democratic to me.

EU free movement is an open door free for all immigration policy, drawn up by bureaucrats in Brussels which must apply to all member states of the EU.

& people either have to be students or work within 3 months or leave - EU law. So what is it you actually object to?

I'm against the whole concept of it. We should be an independent country, having our own independent immigration policy drawn up by our own elected representatives in Westminster.

EU free movement is also discriminatory in that it favours EU citizens and puts citizens from the rest of the world at a disadvantage. I think we should have a points based immigration system based on skilled workers that we need that treats all foreign citizens equally no matter where in the world they come from. An Indian doctor or an Australian engineer should be viewed as equal to an EU doctor or an EU engineer.

see... freedom of movement is an interesting concept because loads of people like centy tend to forget that loads of UK people have taken advantage of it to go the other way... somewhere around 2.5- 3 million....

here is the dirty secret... we tend to get their younger working age tax paying people (which in all reports on the subject show that EU nationals are net contributors to the treasury....) and they get our... let say older residents!

So we get the people who come to work and send money home thus taking money out of the economy while paying for thier health care.

Meanwhile they get a bunch of old people taking money into thier economy creating jobs and the uk government paying them for any healthcare they use?

Tax recipts are not the best way to look at this

We do not know anyone who sends money to Poland, probably someone does, but that's a small percentage. "

"Good post on Facebook discusses the same issue

I say sack the lot of them (politicians)

Let’s statt again"

Good idea but unfortunately the majority of politicians we seem to have are people who have never had a job run a company or been a shop steward etc. They are mostly university graduates who went straight into politics. As Billy Connolly once said anyone who wants to become a politician should immediately be banned from ever becoming one.

Perhaps we should select our politicians by lottery as some early democracies did at least that way the majority wont be people who actually want to be politicians. Yes we might get some idiots but can they be any worse than the idiots we have now?

I'm not actually seriously suggesting this but it does throw up some interesting thoughts on politics and political systems

ah but the 75k is an interim payment not including the most generous expenses you have ever seen, with the pay off being on the board here, 'advising' there..etc.

Dim ? Maybe you're dim and you don't know what you're raving about. Only seasonal employees do this, most Polish in the UK bought or rented houses, live with their family and spend their money in the UK. They have no reason to send money to Poland.

The biggest removal of tax receipts and money from the UK economy is not people sending money to their families back home. It is those using offshore tax havens and those moving their businesses to Monaco, Singapore and the Chanel Islands.

Stop falling for this nonsense, normal individual people do not have access to enough wealth to make any difference - but Dyson et al do...

I'd suggest that someone accusing others of being "dim" about a matter they themselves have no fucking real idea about is the "dim" one.

"Don't give a monkey's...our business is flying and all this crap has not affected us ....just think how well it could be without all the negativity about

Brexit voter in a nutshell

I'm all right so fuck the rest of you

In my business I have to tell my customers

Ok so the £20000 product you want to order now , will take a month to come from europe

I have to tell you that the price might be 22000 when you collect

How many fucking orders do you think I'm fucking taking

No negativity , reality

It's a disgusting mess"

I read your post yesterday but was unable to show my support for it as I’d been gagged for 24 hours for responding to the same person.

Another ‘I’m alright Jack’. They truly disgust me. People’s lives are being ruined by these imbeciles. People will die because of them. It’s unforgivable.
