So we had - Norway+, then we had Canada++ and now we have WTO+++.
Do these politicians really think that by adding a + after something that we folk are so dumb that we will think it's something special?
Context.... Seemingly "No deal" has negative connotations so leading Brexiters (Peter Lilley and others) have come up with a new name for a no deal - it is called WTO+++ |

WTO++ is a rebadging of the concept of a managed No Deal.....which is an oxymoron. Yes, they do think we're thick.... |

Well the WTO RULES are everyone trades on the same basis - unless they have a FTA? |

"Yep they think we are all stupid, whats with labour always banging on about a general election so we can have "a grown up" negotiation with the EU?"
Grown up negotiation is more cooperative than adversarial. |

Are they?
Or are they just refusing to give the Tories a way out of owning brexit?"
Have you seen the latest polling surveys?? Conservatives are still way ahead of Labour and in fact, Labour is losing ground. Why do you think that is?
Is it possibly because Labour in Opposition is not actually providing any credible opposition and therefore less and less people are seeing a credible alternative? |

Yep, I've seen them. I also remember the poles just before the last GE, how wrong were they?
Remember that polls can be influenced by the way questions are framed and that when Tory party supporters are asked if they agree or disagree with Labour policies (without first being told they are Labour policies) there is overwhelming support for Labour policies and JC's personal positions on most subjects.
But then my view can easily be rejected as I am a social democrat and member of the labour party and therefore would say this. |

First we were told nothing would be agree until everything was agreed.
By implication this meant it was either THE deal or no DEALS.
We were also told no deal was better than a bad deal. This was clever as it suggested no deal can’t be a bad deal.
Then we saw Mays deal. There were mixed feelings. But we were told she’d reject a bad deal. So a no deal must be worse than this.
It also made no deal more likely. And people started to take this seriously. Even Gove has now called out concerns.
So option 3 has turned up. A no TRADE deal with side deals individually negotiated.
But, with only months left, that’s little time to negotiate. Especially if the EU is less than willing to be asked to change tact so late in the day. And it will be a negotiation. The + needs to apply to both sides.
Because If we start saying say, we need to sort haulage more than them, yet they need airlines more than us, and so we will negotiate both together we get back towards “nothing agreed to all agreed”.
And who’s to say the plus will be any good. Two years of negotiation have got us to where? A deal no one likes. Will two months of individual negotiations be any better. We’re not good at this.
And remember, it’s us talking about no deal plus. Which suggests it’s us more worried about no deal. They can see the lack of weight behind Mays deal. They will have factored in a no deal outcome. |

"Relax, the Germans want to sell cars and will bend over backwards to whatever we want.
Poppy sales alone will keep the economy surging. "
I know. In fact I ought not to get wound up because I remember what Favid Davis said. He said... “There are no downsides, only considerable upsides because we will get the same deal, if not a better one than we already have at the moment”
Not sure what deal he is talking about but I bet it is a ++++++++ |

Another DD quote was...
"
If a democracy cannot change its mind, it ceases to be a democracy.
