"Who would you pick to be the next Tory leader? It's Penny Mordaunt for me"
I think the Tory brexiteers have blown it. I doubt the moderates will let anyone affiliated or associating with the ERG get into power. They made the party and parliament look like clowns by calling a no confidence vote as the pm left the county.
Ultimately the next Tory leader needs to learn from the past 2 and a half years. The Tories have been fielding poor quality domestic policies. It's not all about brexit, the bottom third want government to fix the shit they've dumped in. So far the Tories have stayed alive via division on brexit nationally, labour's division and media propaganda. |

Good shout and I think it has to be a Brexiteer.
However my personal choice would be Boris Johnson. "
To be brutally honest, I actually think that Boris is the best choice.
For one, he is a firm believer in Brexit. No matter what the Maybot said about honouring the referendum, she had voted to remain, and so I doubt she ever really believed in Brexit.
Boris is charismatic - no doubt about that. And though there are some who aren't big fans, you have to admit that he is popular - not only that, he won the London Mayoral election twice.
I actually believe that if that snake Gove hadn't stabbed him in the back, the contest in 2016 could well have come down to Theresa May vs Boris
He's also known on the world stage. |

Yeah, they take this pussy out of him for rugby tackling a kid.
He's smart. He doesn't use it. He has no gravitas or dignitas |

For being an oaf..
The man is a proven liar with a track record of bumbling through without understanding his brief in office cos he's a bit of a jovial buffoon..
But the country does not need his type, even if his own party did elect him which is a long shot..

Do you know that is one of the silliest things people say in such circumstances, its like an excuse for something so fundamental given the role..
Imagine how you or I would feel if after being burgled the police said show me one thief who isn't dishonest..

There are degrees of it though mate and Boris is getting towards Trump.
I'd go for Kenneth Clarke. But I'm not a Tory! |

Ken Clarke is 78 years old! Bloody good MP though. |
