After all the goings on in Parliament yesterday, are we really any further on?
There is no consensus for any path out of this. The May deal, even with tinkerings, will not get through. No deal is only appealing to the ERG and a few Labour MPs, and a new referendum still can't gain any traction.
The Opposition, despite all their combined blustering, seem unwilling to call a "no confidence" vote and try and force a GE. Mrs May has also ruled out a snap GE.
Business is getting louder and louder in trying to get Parliament to do something. No one appears to be listening.
Parliament is deadlocked, can't agree on anything. Sensible analysis is to bite the bullet and now take it back to the people. |

it's been reported in the mainstream that the tory lunatic fringe is now considering going nuclear and calling a vote of no confidence in the government themselves |

That idea crossed my mind last night. They have nothing to lose now, except their seats, many of which might struggle to get re-elected anyway. Even JRM was suggesting last night that Mrs May should be going to see the Queen.
They are just not going to get anywhere the Brexit that they desire. |

"nothing matters to ERG. After the apocalypse, all that will be left will be ants and Tory MPs complaining about Europe and their leader."

"deselections prior to the next GE are being pushed for by tory consticuency activists"
The only deselections I can find being reported on in news outlets and the press are deselections being pushed by Momentum activists against Labour MP's who don't support Corbyn. |

Revoking Article 50 seems the most sensible thing to do, alongside a clear education for the population. With low chance of getting anything through parliament, next to no time remaining from the 2 years that it's taken the conservatives to try to make their minds up, it's pointless to try to inflict damage on the country - as much as some of their politicians would be happy to do so |

Retain the status quo, plan properly for when we do leave with the investment needed for if we have to go with no deal..
At the moment it's a shambles of one parties internal divisions which is not representing the whole country.. |

Exactly this. Let's all calm down, take change off the table until everyone is completely clear what it means and how it works. Education, as always, is the key on both sides of this weird argument. Clearly something needs to change, I imagine there would be a huge majority public vote agreeing that. The question is what needs to change and how is it best done. So many of the real issues that precipitated this vote could have been addressed within the EU, they just weren't. I'm not saying any voter was wrong, I'm saying that we need to nationally have that debate rather than a knee jerk binary decision based on not very much. |
