"We need the best business person to run the country rather than a politician. So who would you suggest to close the deal x"
No we don't.
We need actual statesmen and diplomats.
Light on the ground these days. |

Yes absolutely right - Trump is showing exactly what happens when a businessman runs a country! No thank you. |

I do not need a biz person to run the country at all, as I understand a country is not a biz pursuing profits.
Could you elaborate why do you need a biz person to run the country? You seem confused and perhaps people in the forum can help you to clarify. |

Chairman of the Leave means Leave campaign group Richard Tice, who is also a very successful businessman.
Former director general of the British Chambers of Commence John Longworth would also be a good shout or former director general of the CBI Digby Jones. All the above support Brexit. |

The country is not a business. It's a society. " A society is ! a group of individuals involved in persistent social interaction, or a large social group sharing the same geographical or social territory, typically subject to the same political authority and dominant cultural expectations !!! are we. |

We also need someone to deliver Brexit who believes in Brexit and who supported Leave during the referendum.
Theresa May can't deliver it because....
1. She doesn't believe in Brexit
2. She supported Remain. |

But do the politicians negotiate? Did Davis or Raab actually negotiate or was it the professional negotiators and the politicians "signed" it off? |

So you don't want a politician you want a businessman? Aren't they the ones moving jobs abroad and not paying their corporation taxes?
Traitors surely?
Wouldn't a nice general be better?
You don't want democracy getting in the way again. We've had it once and that's enough surely? |

I'd be very happy with a Brexiter politician who supported Leave during the referendum. Also It's a bit rich of you to talk about the merits of democracy when you want to completely ignore the referendum result and pretend it never happened. |

No you silly boy. I want more democracy. I'd like another vote with more information available.
If government or Parliament reversed the decision you could certainly argue that this would be anti-democratic.
However, if the same people who voted last time (minus the dead ones and plus the new ones) change their mind then it is a bit difficult to say that this is undemocratic.
If you think it's too much democracy that's another matter. Your argument will be interesting
However; is it normal in the UK or any other legal process to fast-track time sensitive decisions? Have you any evidence to suggest that either the ECJ or UK Supreme Court are corrupt or biased? |

If this premise were correct, which objectively it is not, then why don't we show some British pragmatism.
By which I mean, hire a Japanese or South Korean business person - maybe even Singaporean. They are pretty transparent, cut and dry, but down to earth. |

They tried something similar with England football team managers, it didn't work! |

We just need someone with a backbone instead of an old biddy! "
We need someone like Nigel Farage, but in his absence then perhaps BoJo is the best person for the job... |

Great to see your balanced view...most businesses and business advisors were pro remaining but I suppose it's hard to list that many. |
