Majority support for 2nd referendum

The latest Sky Data poll says that
55% of people support a 2nd referendum with the options
Stay
No Deal
Mays Deal
Only 35% were opposed.
Theresa May (31%)was still seen as the best leader to get through Brexit, Corbyn (25%) 2nd JRM and Boris were basically tied (18% and 17%) and Raab (10%) trailing in 5th. But the 3 other Tories combined were far higher than May which could encourage a vote of no confidence.[Percentages are all rounded up]
54% want to stay in the EU
32% leave with no deal
14% would take the deal on the table
Whether you agree or not the tide is turning towards a 2nd referendum. And the tide might also be turning against May with 45% of people wanting another Tory to lead. |

I like the bloke, he is old school (in a good way). Politics was not a career choice, but something he felt passionate to do.
I think he has been useful, bringing Labour back towards where it needs to be. But he needs wider support from the general public to succeed.
I don't think he'll get that! So yes, Labour also need to get a new leader. |

Why not a referendum with only two options:
May's deal or remain
Makes it easier for people to grasp and let's face it no deal is economical suicide besides that there won't be a better deal than the one that is on the table now. |

Taking no deal off the table would just get the conspiracy theory lot out.
As much as I view it as not an option, others do, and it would just kick up another argument about how 'the people were betrayed!' |

There are plenty of Daily Espress readers that want the UK to take the metaphorical suicide pill that is no deal Brexit. Some of them post on this very forum.
Their lack of understanding is terrifying. |

You could argue that the people were betrayed with unrealistic promises in 2016 and the democratic instrument of a referendum was jeopardized by putting an imaginary piece of wonder cake in front of them nobody knew the ingredients for it.
Now there's a deal and the consequences of that deal is way clearer and more comprehensive. By giving the choice of a no deal puts everthing back to square one. |

What amazes me is that we are only talking about the withdrawal agreement. It's stage 1 of the process. I know some thought we'd leave on 24th June, but we have 45 yrs to sort out - not 40yrs as has been stated by some!
We can do the trade deal - relatively quickly and we have been promised a better deal than anyone has with the EU. Ok it won't be as good as we have but that's project fact!
Alternatively hard brexit but we are no longer EU members next April! |

I think May will be gone soon but there will not be a second referendum,we will just crash out as the politions just squabble like little children they are pathetic.The DUP will stop any deal as they want war in Ireland,they have no interest in a deal as what they want the EU will never agree to.
Unless the tory and labour MP's can unite with a united plan we crash out.
So as there is more chance of one of us winning the lottery tonight,there will no deal,no referendum.At least May has tried I respect her for that. |

I’d let MPs vote on mays deal. We voted her and her party in to lead negotiations. And we should trust in our elected representatives to vote on our behalf. It’s all part of our democratic process.
If it isn’t voted through then a referendum on no deal versus stay, as our elected reps will be saying “we feel we have failed to deliver what you asked for, so want to defer back to you again”
The result is legally binding. Majority takes all.
Brexiteers can’t be unhappy. No deal exactly meets what they say we were told we were voting for (no EU, SM, CU, FoM, ECJ etc) so they should be confident it will be approved by the people. |

She was installed as PM to take the poisoned chalice that is Brexit, when it’s all over she will be made into the Scapegoat for whatever bullahit situation we end up in. Then they Tories will put in someone they actually want in.

It's actually 58 years of integration that need to be unpicked. We joined EFTA in 1960.
