Conservative brexiteers are pissing me off. This is a deal for the withdrawal/ transition period and, on the face of it, the EU have made a lot of concessions as have we. It means the deal on fully leaving can carry on being negotiated so there is no reason not to vote it through. Likewise Labour should do the same as it is in the best interests of the country.
I'm not a fan of Teressa May but she picked up a poisoned chalice and has run with it and got a deal when not many thought she would. |

For 2 years now I have listened to the Maybot and Tories trot out the same line about how they are going to deliver brexit and nothing will stop her again and again. I know it wont happen but I would like to hear JC stand up and quote her and the Tories back at them before telling them that brexit is theirs they dreamed up the referendum to stay in power and then gave birth and breathed life into brexit and therefore should own it and all it brings with it, so with that in mind Her Majesties Opposition as a matter of principle are abstaining. before leading the opposition out of the commons and leaving the Tories to tare themselves apart.
Of course the above is just wishful dreaming on my part. No doubt if given half a chance the PLP will bring down the government force a GE and then be more than happy to inherit the poison chalice that is brexit and allow the Tories to abrogate their responsibility and blame Labour for the coming shitstorm. |

I think she is right, for the simple reason there is no alternative on the table and the timetable does not allow any new PM to start fresh negotiations with the EU.

This is only the divorce settlement deal and the final relationship (trade deal) with the EU is still to be negotiated with the EU during the transition period.
