It seems that he was an ex soldier who had been identified as having PTSD. Nothing was done to help him, or to monitor his illness, and he flipped.
I’m not making excuses, it was dreadful what he did. But as in this country, ex servicemen are just left to rot after they have left the armed forces in the US.

Of course they know the effects of war on ex-soldier. But the cold hard truth of it is they don’t give a fuck. The poor people will continue to be sent to fight and die for the oil companies, for the arms companies. |

Yes I do...I respect human life and I think in many cases sending the soldiers in the first place (most recent wars were/are pointless) is callous disrespect to them and their familyies knowing well what is likely to happen them.
Of course the army have an important purpose in peace keeping and defense in the true sense.

Look to be honest if you don't even have a good reason why you are going out to potentially kill foreign people that says it all.
I made a comment before about soldiers being highly "trained" that seemed to upset you and that's what I meant.
I hate the idea of people doing things just because their superiors said so....they wrap it all up in a blanket of pride and bravery as motivation but there has to be a real reason behind one's actions.

In hindsight was saying that they were ‘fucked up’ a bit of a bad choice of words? Perhaps? But considering as stated this was someone who went on a rampage and shot up a bar for no apparent reason, I think it is a reasonable description.
Does it make me think twice that I am having a discussion about an ex service person randomly shooting up a bar with an extremely angry ex service person that poses on a swinging site with a firearm? Yes it does.
