Made me laugh,
When your own backbenchers say it, and when your cabinet is treated like mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed shit.

What other outcome could there possibly have been with a vote that was virtually 50/50 and the country, Parliament and the Govt split down the middle on the question of Europe? If that wasn’t going to make the future negotiations difficult on its own, Theresa May then inexplicably chose to tie her own hands behind her back by announcing a number of unattainable red lines.
History has shown us many, many times that imposing unacceptable extremes on vast numbers of people will never work and the resentment being displayed by both sides is simply a demonstration that those lessons are not being adhered to. Leavers are agitated that their “Brexit” is under daily attack by those who wish to thwart it and Remainers are fighting to retain the rights that they see that are being unnecessarily removed.
With hindsight what should have happened was a much more pragmatic approach after the referendum and instead of red lines the Govt should have made more of the fact that they would rule nothing in, and rule nothing out and would work towards a resolution with which they could carry the country. It is a monumental failure of government that they have tried so hard to impose their vision of what they think Brexit should be instead of reading the result and delivering on a split mandate. |

“Give Brexit a chance.”... What does that even mean?
Why would you want to insist that almost 50% of the country have patience with a process that will negatively impact them in one way, or another - or likely in many ways?
You are simply demonstrating an intolerance and lack of acceptance of 50% of your fellow countrymen.
This is the very reason why the Govt are fucking things up in a colossal way. The storyline from day 1 ought to have been pragmatism, compromise and reconciliation. But it hasn’t it has been about tubthumping statements about red lines and Idiotic Nationalist jingoism.
Nigel Farage famously made to highly relevant comments and as he is very much revered on here by many Leavers, let’s just revisit them.
“What is so bad about about being like Norway.”
“It would be unfinished business” (when asked about a potential 52/48 Remain result).
There will be no winners from the current trajectory and the U.K. is likely to be damaged for decades unless the Govt gets real. |

Well done. Just about sums up what I think . I think our parliament reflects in absolute crystal clear clarity what is going on out there in the real world. We may knock our electoral system but some how or other every time it does the job. This parliament will soon be dissolved and we can have another try to get it right |

I’m not sure anyone knows what a success looks like ?
If the EU takes a huge turn we don’t like, maybe we will say thank god we’re not in that.
But most measures will be relative to the other path... we won’t know what gdp, employment, Sterling rate etc we’d have otherwise.
Even with my example above, we’d not know if we’d have changed things from within. |

You can join plenty of pro second referendums movements or brexit have a final say movements... There are a few demonstrations in London today. Getting together, pressuring on the streets will make a difference. Brexit is exactly as you described: a car crash show with 66-68 people million inside.

As for remoaners sabotaging the outcome - how? May is a turned remainer (devout almost), Davis/Raab - brexiteers, Johnson, Fox - brexiteers - not a remainer in sight. Decision makers are all leavers - marches demos are not going to change a thing. What is happening now is reality is setting in - we get what we negotiate - as Fox said "a trade deal with the EU is going to be the easiest in the World " - from a man who has never negotiated a trade deal in his life!"You reap what you sow" |

How can the U.K. be treated as an equal to (for example) the United States?
It is accepted policy of the USA to dismantle the EU so that the USA can negotiate more preferential terms against smaller, more inferior nations. At the moment, the USA has to negotiate with an equal, when the UK leaves it will be negotiating with a minor partner.

The points as I see it;-
Brexit is bad for the country
It could destroy the United Kingdom
It will ruin the economy (even Brexiteers in the Government admit that there will be a recession)
It was missold (£350m to the nhs etc)
The electorate were lied to (there are no easy trade deals - we havent negotiated a single one yet)
Leave broke the electoral rules
Given all the above is unquestionable truths can anyone give an actual real fact based reason why this is not a complete cock up (facts not emotions)?
The people were conned and not told what a suicidal act they were undertaking. This was aided by the media who have also admitted to Brexit bias. Another vote is the least the country should have. This whole thing has been a result of politics over common sense and it is time common sense took over again. |

Oh come on you can't be serious!
"It hasn't happened yet" - yes and look what's happened we have gone from Top G7 economy to bottom! The pound has tanked - all positives?
Trade deals - do you really think they are going to happen the day after we leave? Do you really think that we are going to copy and paste the deals we have now? The other party is going to want more "they hold all the cards" - it us that needs the deal not them. It's just a single deal to them - for us its vital!
The financial sector represents 80% of our economy - we don't make that much on these islands anymore - ask Dyson why he doesn't manufacture in the UK - we want too much pay too many benefits - pension etc when he can make in another country at a third of the costs of the UK!
We are a service industry because we are good at it one of the best - we gave up on industry in the 1990's.
We are a modern economy which relies on an inter connected world which our financial sector needs - UK market is not big enough alone!
But you may be right 30/3/19 we will see exactly how the future is going to be - fingers crossed. |

It still is.
A leader of the nation would adopt a consensual approach to bring the country together.
But we are lead by someone who cannot even bring her own Cabinet or party together.
It makes me even sadder when I think how far ahead in the polls a competent opposition ought to be.
The Tories are handing the country on a plate to the Labour Party. But Labour seems to be equally weak in the leadership stakes.
As a country, we are impoverished in lots of ways.

The Government activated Article 50. I believe that is implementing the result of the referendum - to leave the EU.
I don't understand your complaint.
When the outcome of a binary vote is so finely balanced, it's hardly surprising that one side wants to keep fighting.
I imagine if Scotland had voted 52/48 to leave the UK, the 48 would still be out on the streets asking to stay in the union.

Actually you have missed the point! Because Farage said it wouldn't be over from a leave perspective, therefore its legitimate for remain to have the same sentiment! Exactly the same stance - nothing more! Certainly not criticism but appreciate it's offensive to some leavers. |
