They've managed to make us lefties think that supporting the EU is the right way to go.

Im sure you all know Peter Shore MP's passionate anti EC speech from 1975. So i ask you why was his brand of socialism so wrong? He didn't trust the Tories then, so why do you trust them now? After all the conservatives urged us to remain, while JC clearly was pro leave. His silence was all we needed to know. Here's a link to it.

The thing that I don't get is how being pro EU is somehow portrayed as being somehow pro "unity" and anti racist...

The EU didn't exist in 1975. What relevance is a speech from over 40 years ago to the present EU, Brexit or the current political parties?

Socialists understood the strong arguments for leaving the EU way before the referendum.

I waivered but as the Brexit vote was hijacked by the far right and became an anti immigration vote I decided I couldn't line up behind idiots like Fararge, Johnson and Gove.

So why did the Labour Party campaign against Brexit in the Referendum then?

They didn't.

You had Labour Leave https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labour_Leave

And Labour Remain

There wasn't a Labour Party line over the Referendum. Nor did the Tories.

So you decided to line up behind idiots like Cameron, Osborne and Clegg instead then.

So Leave idiots are better than remain idiots?

That's as good as it gets for you now?

Well the relevance is surely that we wouldn't be in the EU today if we hadn't had the referendum then. And project fear used the same lines!
