Listening to the news you would think the only people who have to agree the new customs arrangement proposed by May is the British Cabinet. Do you think the EU will accept this new customs arrangement, whatever it is?

I always said that the brexiters would be the most unhappy with the outcome, hearing the stories of Gove physically ripping a paper copy the arrangements to pieces in a meeting seems to highlight that.

So... if I understand you correctly, anyone outside the UK has no valid opinion on the UK by virtue of their geographic location (let alone hereditary links etc.). I'm sure there would be quite a few fairly amused by this quaint notion (and I am not only talking about ex-pats / contract workers either).

The point is, we don't need some left-wing Remoaner Canadian telling us that we were wrong to vote for Brexit or that Brexit will be a disaster.

Because Canada relies on the USA so much, perhaps he cannot understand the ability of a nation to stand on its own.

Except that you can.

Members from ascension states can be limited for up to seven or so years, but the UK chose not to.

You're also more than allowed to keep a track of who comes to the UK from the EU and if they've not secured gainful employment within a fixed time, you can send them home.

Once again, the UK chose not to so that.

But hey, you got to have a brexit so you can stick it to the "rubbish", that's better than knowing things, I'm sure.

A quick google suggests it’s derived from being in the UN not the Eu.

So in summary, we voted for brexit in order to change a law the EU did not set, to prevent non Europeans from claiming asylum here.

Glad that’s cleared up.

As a proud British guy who had immigrant parents I do have to call it straight, lime the dutch and say it's offensive and wish Lee all the best. It's not about control of our borders we have that. My daughter had to go through hoops to become British even though she is British defendant. Maybe since she's isn't 100 percent pure, she's not worth it. What's your opinion?

Meanwhile, back in the 1930's....

You're welcome to them if you want to be over-run with scum.

I'm more worried that the country is overrun by people with your kind of despicable attitudes who believe that the Brexit vote in some way legitimises their gormless take on the world."

Indeed. Anyone who thinks Brexit has not emboldened xenophobia and general hatred towards fellow humans need just read this thread, as Andy is a prime example.

I am one of the 13 per cent of the population of England who was not born in England.

I enjoy living here.

But I despair when I read the Little Englander mentality so evident in this thread.

The smears designed to dehumanise other individuals, just because they do not speak or look or think like you.

That is not "patriotism".

It is ignorance x fear = hatred.

It is sad to see people reduced to xenophobia, isolationism and insularity. Stop the world I want to get off, eh?

The entire history of this country - and every other one -is rooted in migration, inwards and outwards.

It is what makes England and the UK what it is today - the merging of culture, influences and language from all around the globe.

The English language is perhaps the best example - drawing in so many words and expressions from other cultures.

How different would your football team last night have looked were it not for migration?

How different would your menu or takeaway choices look were it not for migration?

This country occupied one-fifth of the world land mass, i.e. it exported migrants (some voluntarily, some by compulsion) to every corner of the globe.

Borders are artificial - they exist only in the minds of the human race.

"Listening to the news you would think the only people who have to agree the new customs arrangement proposed by May is the British Cabinet. Do you think the EU will accept this new customs arrangement, whatever it is?"

I see it's stupid question time again.

OK I'll bite.

A fully clothed guy has just walked past your house.

How big is his cock?

"It's not simple. I just laugh at foreigners who are anti-brexit.

We voted for brexit primarily because we are sick of foreigners.

Just like Austria, Italy, Germany and Hungary are!

You voted for Brexit because youre a xenophobe?"

He didn't say "he" voted because of that, we said "we", which could be interpreted to mean all Brexit voters. How many Brexit voters have tried to distance themselves from the comments?

"And in reality they are not. And the law that makes them "legal" is one of the main reasons for Brexit.

We all know why they came all the way to the UK to claim "asylum".

To claim the most generous benefits in Europe. That is what the UK was sick of and that is why the UK voted for Brexit.

The percentage of asylum of minute compared to percentage of immigrants. Why target asylum seekers? Love to know. Give me the number of asylum seekers vs EU immigration Vs non EU immigration. I'll make it easy. What is it in %."

I don't think the legal/illegal distinction is his issue (as he's changed his wording a couple of times, after being pushed). I think his issue is that anyone not born in Britain (or, dare I say, England) *and* (possibly) whose parents/grandparents/etc were not born in Britain either, should not be allowed to contaminate our pure Aryan nation, walk amongst us and taint our women with their seed (wasn't the ex UKIP leader's girlfriend who said something like that about Meghan Markle?).

So, by the looks of it, the legality of it, is immaterial. If *he* had his way, no one who's not pure bread British would even be allowed to visit, let alone move/live here.

His posts on this thread are seriously shocking (to say the least) and read more like a political party broadcast by Britain First in association with ukip and bnp.

Yes, this is the saddest bit and often seems to be completely overlooked by leavers. That is the contribution culturally to our nation by immigrants. Not to mention our own colonial spread.

Maybe I’ll see you as St Paul’s Carnival this weekend, Sara? I’m looking forward to it running again, and enjoying some jerk chicken and curried goat.
