Daily Telegraph reporting that our glorious Foreign Secretary (For the benefit of Brexiters - that would be Boris Johnson) was non too enamoured with talk of big business worrying about post Brexit job losses.
At a Foreign Office reception celebrating the Queens birthday last week, Boris was asked about his thoughts regarding big business making statements about their Brexit fears. “Fuck Business” Johnson was reported to have said by sources close to the Daily Telegraph.
Odd really that big business has always been at the heart of the British Conservative Party and both Thatcher and Major were arch supporters of the private business sector.

"Yeah, very true could have not put it better my self. Boris should have been sacked long ago. I thought they were a party for businesses. "
I think unlike the Liberal Democrats the Conservative party is a party of democracy first, business 2nd, and that the Conservative party are respecting the result of the referendum.
Funny really that the Liberal democrats have the word 'Democrats' in their party name but have shown themselves to be the least willing to accept the democratic result of the referendum. The Lib dems are not even worthy of their own party name. |

In case you haven't realised, democracy wasn't outlawed the day after the referendum. People voted then democratically and they can do so again. Democratically. |

Do you know what? At first, after his initial attempts for backseat driving, I thought he was just trying to indirectly oust TM and get her job. But, after all his continued interviews, articles, secret recordings etc, it's becoming more and more clear that what he, in fact, wants, is to undermine TM to such an extent, that she appears weaker and weaker, resulting to the EU playing hardball and her having to walk away because of it. He wants a no deal Brexit and he's trying to achieve it in the most cowardly way. There's no other explanation as to why he'd say all these things publicly and not in their cabinet meetings. He knows that the EU are following our media and he's using them to do their work for him.
I'd have throttled him if I was TM. I bet she's got a little Boris voodoo doll and keeps sticking pins to it to get it out of her system, since she can't send him packing! |

Sometimes you have to support that which you hate to achieve your ultimate goal.
But when you do so it is advisable to let all know what you are doing when you do it (regardless of ridicule) so that all know your ultimate aim. |

It's clear that Boris isn't someone who can be trusted, nor is he particularly good at his work. He's consistently worked against the Prime Minister and the country and should not be allowed positions of such responsibilities and trust. The Brexit folk should despise him as much as anyone - he has no principles and but for coming from a privileged background, would be a loser. Perhaps as sociopathic as the American one with bad hair. |

Yes Boris is for Boris.....He has no political convictions and anyone who thinks he truly believes in Brexit is mistaken.......He believed that if we voted to remain Cameron would still be PM ...But if we voted to leave Cameron would resign and he would be the obvious successor ... That so nearly worked out till he was outflanked by Gove....Then along came Theresa who took his prize as he saw it ..He has been working against her since day one......Oh and against our national interest as well...He is a dangerous individual , Time for him to be reigned in .He is a buffoon of a man .but one who has conned sections of the Tory party |

I think it was more machiavellian than that.
Remember, he had written two articles to announce his position - one arguing for stay, the other for leave.
He was, I think, expecting a narrow win for stay.
But by backing leave, he reckoned it would give him the lead among Tory members, the majority of whom also wanted leave.
It backfired spectacularly when leave won. He didn't have a clue what to do next.

Why am I the only who is against democracy?
You are all illustrating how ridiculous it is in practice. A highly paid ego soothing popularity contest is bound to attract the sociapathic and chronically self interested.
As politics is now just a dirty game of backstabbing and grandstanding it can't possibly attract the caring, all round stand up people that should be conducting it and if it does they tend to get disillusioned or corrupted themselves. |

I would rather live a technocracy than a democracy but the transition from a democracy to a meritocracy or whatever utopia you envision usually involves bloodshed.Which is problematic |

"Democracy results in bloodshed nonstop.
Change has to happen. Think big. Don't be a pussy.to be replaced with ? "
You have to qualify to vote. Prove your knowledge of the matter and the best and worst cases consequences of each choice before the ballot.
Esteemed experts having greater voting strength. Decision making quality is tracked over time and voting strength upgraded or downgraded accordingly.
Longer tenure for politicians based on performance not popularity. They get there by strong merit in personality and intelligence testing. Best people for the job...not the craftiest.
Get rid of ideologically grounded parties and the groupthink that goes with them.
Too many arm chair experts who's sum total of knowledge about a decision is what the tabloids spun them. They pollute the vote and lead us into lost generations of political failure and inaction.
Voting is mostly emotional and probably comes down to who has the most likeable face on a poster half the time. IT ISNT WORKING

Do you really think career politicians and those elites who were born to rule will give up power .
Do the public want experts running the show."Expert" is a dirty word today.People want personality over intellect.
A meritocracy will on come after a huge violent upheaval or a cataclysmic event.
We are stuck with populism and the cult of personality in the western world and it will be our undoing and maybe only at the precipice we will change.

37 million packs per month. Regardless of percentage, I'd say that's significant. In addition, there's medical equipment in the mix, not just medicines.
Anyway, I'm sure that Trump will help us with that one too. What was it he said again? |

2 years on from the vote to leave with 6 negotiating weeks left before the October EU leaders meeting which is the deadline, the maybot will have a meeting on Friday with her cabinet to agree what the UK wants in the leaving deal. Which will then be published in a white paper. Presented to parliament. Have its 1st and 2nd reading, go through the committee stage, then return to the house for its final reading and be made law. As required by the EU in order for the EU to offer any kind of deal to the UK.

Jeremy Hunt, interviewed in the Evening Standard about a hard brexit, yesterday:
“There would not just be economic consequences for the UK, there would be profound economic consequences for the rest of Europe.
“Probably the City, as the financier of European business, is the central point to make here. If it became harder for European businesses to access finance, that is far from trivial.
“The City itself would find a way to thrive, whatever the outcome of the Brexit negotiations.
“If it became a low-tax, low-regulation, offshoot fully outside the EU, it would find a way to thrive in those circumstances. But for European businesses the impact would be profound.”
He says this to threaten the EU to agree a deal, yet there will be plenty who see this not as threat but an opportunity.
More than half the Cabinet has the City on their CV and more than half the funding of the Conservative Party election campaign comes from the same quarter.
It is the political wing of the City of London.
Ten years after an unchecked City of London almost consumed itself with its own greed, and wreaked havoc for the rest of us, the Conservative Party is preparing the ground to transfer control from Whitehall to the Square Mile.
Low tax, of course, almost means few or no public services. Hardly surprising from the politician who co-authored a policy paper calling for the NHS to be scrapped.

Yep...
The plan is to turn the UK into Liechtenstein. The only problem with that is Liechtenstein has a population of less than 38000 people not 55+million. So maybe a better example of offshoring the UK could be found looking west, maybe Bermuda where 20% of the population live below the poverty line. Everyone looking forward to to the Cunts plan to see millions of people homeless so the city can keep making money for its multimillionaire masters?
Or am I now going to be told I am using hyperbole again? |

Answered on multiple occasions. The fact that you (and others) fallback position when I point out the reality of what you support and have supported for years is to ask why I voted out is telling.
How many times and in how many ways do I have to tell you I got fed up of trying to make you and those like you see how your a turkey voting for Christmas and decided to give you what you wished for? |

"Why am I the only who is against democracy?
You are all illustrating how ridiculous it is in practice. A highly paid ego soothing popularity contest is bound to attract the sociapathic and chronically self interested.
As politics is now just a dirty game of backstabbing and grandstanding it can't possibly attract the caring, all round stand up people that should be conducting it and if it does they tend to get disillusioned or corrupted themselves.
I would rather live a technocracy than a democracy but the transition from a democracy to a meritocracy or whatever utopia you envision usually involves bloodshed.Which is problematic "
Unfortunately, we actually live in a kakistocracy |

Remember, he had written two articles to announce his position - one arguing for stay, the other for leave.
He was, I think, expecting a narrow win for stay.
But by backing leave, he reckoned it would give him the lead among Tory members, the majority of whom also wanted leave.
It backfired spectacularly when leave won. He didn't have a clue what to do next.

At least he looked sober. George Osborne on the other hand looked like he had spent a heavy night on the drink without any sleep, at his morning press conference. |

Almost as if he was testing the rationale for remaining. Easy would have been proud. |

It'll never beat the PMQ's where he looked like he'd double-dropped a couple of Gary's and was absolutely munted! |
