Bristol East

Surely it is quite legitimate to question the actions of a sovereign state when people are being killed in disturbances on land which it effectively controls.

Conflating it with religious hatred is a red herring.

They've got balls.... Which is why there always picked on by the IMF, UN, world Bank etc etc.

You can't just go against the club rules, otherwise they have a habit of kicking you in the bollocks

"Nah, just misguided

In what way?"

Condemning Israel for defending their territory against an attack orchestrated by a terrorist organisation achieves exactly what the terrorists intended making it more likely that they will repeat their actions with a similar outcome. Hamas are only to happy to sacrifice their peoples lives to hurt Israel in any way possible. Israel found ways to stop the suicide bombers, the death tunnels and the random rockets, this is just the latest attempt to cause trouble.

I'm sorry to disillusion you but Hamas came into being in the Gaza Strip because of what Israel were doing to the nearly 2 million Palestinians who live in the Gaza Strip. I would also point out that there between 2006 and 2016 68 of the 135 UN human rights resolutions passed have been against Israel (that is over 50%) and that is even with the USA protecting its client whenever it can by use of its veto. Your claim that Israel is the victim is as wrong as anyone claiming that the Nazis did not exterminate 6 million Jews.

Im sorry to disillusion you, but your statistic about the UN speaks volumes for what the UN is, rather than saying anything about Israel. The USA cannot veto those sort of resolutions and seeing the majority are supported by undemocratic regimes guilty of human rights abuses far worse than Israel, they are only suitable for toilet paper. And you are quite right that Israel will not allow itself to be the victim of the Hamas islamo-nazi cult, however much they may wish to repeat the Nazi extermination. The 2 million Palestinians in Gaza had the choice after Israeli withdrawal to follow a peaceful path and build a peaceful and prosperous society, but as usual they made the wrong choice and chose confrontation and war with Israel.
