Exit polls from Elections in Slovenia say the centre right anti immigration opposition Slovenia Democratic party (SDS) have won the elections on 24.4%.
Exit polls say The centre left LMS party finished in 2nd place with just 12.6% of the vote. So yet again another EU member state rejects high immigration levels, when will the muppets in Brussels sit up and take note? |

No they don't. They are subject to EU free movement of people rules as an EU member state, so have no control over immigration from the EU. The EU's lack of action over the migration crisis from the swarms coming over the Mediterranean sea is also a factor. |

You spout an awful lot about immigration but no solutions! The problem is African and war torn middle eastern migrants. So do you propose to machine gun them in the Mediterranean? |

He blames it in the "Muppets in Brussels", you know, the British "muppets", the Slovenian "muppets" the Italian "muppets" the Irish "muppets" etc. He is too ignorant to realise that there is no existential "EU", that it's just made up of the member states. That's why he thinks the "EU" should take "migrants", but that individuals states shouldn't take any! Talk about muppets! |

There is clearly a difference between the 2. Thought that was obvious from my post and for someone who claims to be intelligent as you do I thought you would be able to differentiate between the 2. Maybe you're not as intelligent as you claim to be? Ah well, if you want it spelling out I'm happy to. Again just for your benefit....
1.Immigration within the EU :-
Slovenia is subject to EU free movement of people rules as an EU member state so have no control over immigration from within the EU.
2.Immigration from outside the EU :-
As for immigration from outside of the EU, the swarms of migrants coming over the Mediterranean Sea, mainly from North Africa is also a factor, which has been made worse by the EU's lack of action to deal with the migration crisis in the Mediterranean Sea.
So then, a clear distinction between the 2 which even a schoolboy could understand. |

No but maybe the EU could take a leaf out of Australia's book and blockade the Mediterranean Sea to stop the migrant boats coming. It works for Australia in the South Pacific and the Indian ocean. Australia blocks migrant ships and escorts them back to where they came from. |

You can try to argue about numbers all you like, the point is as stated in the OP, that Slovenia has had enough and has elected an anti immigration party!
Also on your other point about the EU having no say on immigration from outside of the EU, is blatantly false! Who was it who agreed a settlement with Turkey about Syrian refugees? It was the EU!!!! |

The EU has ZERO say in immigration of member states of citizens from non-EU countries, but you don't have to balls to admit that.
You also don't have to balls to admit the net immigration to Solvenia was only 507 people in 2015, and that the biggest number came from Bosnia, a non-EU country!
If the people of Solvenia are really that bothered about 507 people coming in, then they can stop it. It has fuck all to do with the EU!
Also for 16 years in a row, more Slovenian citizens have left, than have returned, maybe that's something they should be more worried about. |

see... centy likes to use any subject and twist it to say "bad EU..."
let me put in one fact.....
"when all those syrians were crossing europe at the height of their civil war, do you know how many syrians stopped to claim in slovenia?"
the answer is 7...........
official slovenian government figures!
so it is not like people were wanting to stay there, they were using it to reach austria, and germany, and those lovely scandi countries!!!!
migrants crossing the med to get to italy aren't then using their legs to go onto slovenia.... they are using it to get to france, austria, germany and those lovely scandi countries.....
what the eu were asking countries to do was take their fair share of immigrants and it is not a big number....

It's certainly a weird on this!
The "winning" party is anti-migrant but Slovenia hasn't a problem with migrants.
They get first go at forming a coalition but no one will probably work with the. This opens the door for the "losing" parties to get together, leaving the "winning" party out in the cold.
As seen with Holland, Germany and Italy, coalition government do take a lot of sorting out. |

It's funny that the only people to mention killing migrants on this thread have been 2 comments from Remainers. I think that's rather telling and is a reflection of how desperate you really are.
Are you sure you're not Ken Livingstone in disguise? So desperate and devoid of ideas that you resort to bringing up Hitler. |

its the same is in hungary where ZERO syrians applied for citizenship in the trek across europe... but the hungarian far right government felt a need to fence their borders.....
immigrants are the new boogymen meant to scare people... and people like centaur as in his opening post seems to laude and applaude parties that use this tactic when as you say the country doesn't have an immigration issue...
make of that... and make of him what you will..... |

So centy have you ever done anything for your country? Served your country? Have you ever done any charitable work? Probably not your too busy searching for right wing propaganda. But be careful what you wish for, we are in a perfect right wing storm just like the 1930's and when the shit hits the fan you can be out number one trooper leading the good fight! Centy and his like will not be happy until the EU is destroyed. Unfortunately across Europe there are many who are being seduced by the nationalist pipe-dream, mainly because they have not had to live through a total war. I wonder if they will all be so happy once the organisation that has been responsible for that peace between European countries is gone and Centy along with every other male is required to pick up a rifle and shed their blood for their nationalist leaders egotistic righteousness?
I suspect that Centy like many will not be that happy and gloating in his nationalist pride then. |

Funny thing is I know history, and I know where this ends and it is with the likes of you dying in their millions. The sad thing is just like those of previous generations you will not listen to old men like me and by the time you work out that it is the likes of me who are telling you the truth your only hope will be that by luck you survive.
But hey you go on, I haven't got a clue what I am talking about. There is no correlation between austerity and extreme nationalism and equally no link between austerity and autocrats gaining power or autocrats starting wars to remain in power. I'm sure you will be fine, after all you have trained with the Royal Marines and love the Armed Forces. |

You can draW direct parallels with the 1930s and the rise of the Nazis with what's going on in the EU .All these parties have white supremacist factions fighting internally for control.
There might well be war coming. On the upside the Nazis lost last time and the likes of these far nutters in the forum will find themselves on the wrong side of history once again. The bogeyman was the Jew before today it's the Muslim or the immigrant.
I expect to see some sort of cultural cleansing of Europe of all brown skinned foreigners put forward by these parties. |

I expect to see some sort of cultural cleansing of Europe of all brown skinned foreigners put forward by these parties." A lot to agree with here !
But a couple of points to add . I agree with the parralel of the prey war period , but would add that some of the E U actions over the years could be compared to France dictating to Germany after the First World War ! Not as extreme tho .
I'm supreme Brexit as you know !
But as far as I'm concerned Brexit means we can have whatever immigration we want or don't want ! And our non white friends of the commonwealth especially relatives of the wind rush generation would be welcome with open arms in my book !
As for The Muslims , you have a point but the Actions of the few havnt helped this !
I disagree with you here as , I do think a mass out pouring of the Many Muslims Condeming the Actions of Isis ect would help !
I've never understood why the Jews were targeted and still are !
But more from the left than the right nowadays due to the Nazi Like Behaviour of the Izraelis !

If you find that people often call you racist, then perhaps it's time to sit down and think about what you are actually saying, after all, the problem might be with you, rather than them. Just a thought. |

I don't doubt the mass migration out of Syria and Libya towards Italy and Greece and Merkel openly welcoming these people created the rise of anti immigrant political parties. Austerity plays a greater role in the rise of extreme immigration policies .The banking crash and the EUs austerity measures gave the right fertile ground to gain momentum and place the blame falsely at immigration. The same tactical use of immigration propaganda seen in 1930s Germany.
This time I think Germany will be on the right side of history..
There is also another player who seeks the destruction of the EU and the rise of the far right in the EU and thats Vladimir Putin. |

I suspect that Centy like many will not be that happy and gloating in his nationalist pride then."

"Never once said no foreigners, a limit to mass immigration, what do you believe in?"
So what's the limit? I'm happy with freedom of movement with the EU, and would be happy to see reciprocated schemes with countries such as the US, Canada, Australia and NZ etc. Then I'm happy with a points based system for other countries around the world. I don't think this should be limited as it is at the moment as there are hospitals who have sent employment offers to Drs who then can't get visas. I think that is the definition of a system that is failing the British people. I think we should also accept a decent amount of refugees as well. I know WWII veterans who fought for the British who have spent 35 yrs sitting in refugee camps. Would you be willing to look them in the eye and tell them that they are unwanted in this country, and that they haven't done enough to deserve to come here?
Let's see if you can give a similarly comprehensive outline of your idea for immigration into the UK. |

"Exit polls from Elections in Slovenia say the centre right anti immigration opposition Slovenia Democratic party (SDS) have won the elections on 24.4%.
Exit polls say The centre left LMS party finished in 2nd place with just 12.6% of the vote. So yet again another EU member state rejects high immigration levels, when will the muppets in Brussels sit up and take note? "

Bringing Countries together in a common trading economic & political bloc does far more for peace than a "reactive" body like NATO can ever achieve as NATO only gear up "on occasions" to try and halt wars, and they don't have a very good track record at doing that

It was Nato who had to clear up the EU's mess in the Serbia/Kosovo war in the balkans in the the late 1990's, the EU made its usual pigs ear of things there when it intervened which Nato had to step in to clear up. The EU's meddling in Ukraine also destabilised the region which lead to conflict there with Russia. As for the EU keeping the peace it's exactly because of the EU and it's policies now that is leading to a rise of the far right all over Europe. The EU and it's policies are making things unstable rather than stable. |

Where Should I start with your claptrap Centy?
Lets start with the former Yugoslavia. The EU had nothing to do with its collapse. That was wholly down to the power vacuum left when Tito died and the Serbian nationalists attempting to set up a Greater Serbia within the boundaries of Yugoslavia with all others being subservient to them.
Of course the NATO puppet-master (the USA) saw the disintegration of Yugoslavia and destabilisation of the region as a positive thing because they were commies and continually blocked all moves to stop the conflicts breaking out all over the region. Eventually the EU acted and the USA did everything possible to hobble the EUs efforts. Of course eventually the USA saw an opportunity to take the lions share of the credit for solving a disaster it had done much to exacerbate and then had NATO 'take over'.
In the case of Ukraine part of its reward for giving up its nuclear arsenal was that it would get much closer economic ties to the EU. This was with the full blessing of Russia, which at the time was also building closer economic ties to the EU. However again the NATO puppet-master saw an opportunity to place military assets on the Russian border and NATO stepped in attempting to place both defensive and offensive missile systems in Ukraine. Again destabilising a region.
Finally just to drive home exactly how wrong you are in your assertion that the EU is not responsible for peace in Europe for the last 71 years here is the opening statement of the Treaty of Rome.
HIS MAJESTY THE KING OF THE BELGIANS,
THE PRESIDENT OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY,
THE PRESIDENT OF THE FRENCH REPUBLIC,
THE PRESIDENT OF THE ITALIAN REPUBLIC,
HER ROYAL HIGHNESS THE GRAND DUCHESS OF LUXEMBOURG,
HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN OF THE NETHERLANDS,
DETERMINED to lay the foundations of an ever-closer union among the peoples of
Europe,
RESOLVED to ensure the economic and social progress of their countries by common
action to eliminate the barriers which divide Europe,
AFFIRMING as the essential objective of their efforts the constant improvement of the
living and working conditions of their peoples,
RECOGNISING that the removal of existing obstacles calls for concerted action in
order to guarantee steady expansion, balanced trade and fair competition,
ANXIOUS to strengthen the unity of their economies and to ensure their harmonious
development by reducing the differences existing between the various regions and the
backwardness of the less favoured regions,
DESIRING to contribute, by means of a common commercial policy, to the progressive
abolition of restrictions on international trade,
INTENDING to confirm the solidarity which binds Europe and the overseas countries
and desiring to ensure the development of their prosperity, in accordance with the
principles of the Charter of the United Nations,
RESOLVED by thus pooling their resources to preserve and strengthen peace and
liberty, and calling upon the other peoples of Europe who share their ideal to join in
their efforts,
HAVE DECIDED to create a European Economic Community and to this end have
designated as their Plenipotentiaries:
https://ec.europa.eu/romania/sites/romania/files/tratatul_de_la_roma.pdf
NATO was set up a year later when the USA realised it was going to be sidelined in Europe and decided that that would not do at all. |

But what you describe is not a mechanism for solving a dispute peacefully, it is a mechanism for going to war or letting those in dispute get on with it. Which is ironically what nato does. |

The answer is really simple, although there are many governments that call themselves Social Democrats and Christian Democrats and centre or centre left or right they have in reality been economically hard right laissez-faire capitalist fronts since the mid 80s when it became clear that the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact was collapsing. The reason it has taken so long to get to where we are now is that those who had lent some of their wealth and power to the masses (that is us) realised that they could not take it back all at once without risking triggering another revolution in which they would be swept away.
They have been very good in conditioning us. Soon we will all be in a state of perpetual war for the scraps they throw our way and the vast majority of the world will blame Johnny Foreigner for all their ills.
We are in my view truly drifting into a dystopian world that is a nightmarish combination of 1984 and a brave new world. |

"So why do the EU (Germany) insist on austerity?
The timeless wisdom of spending less than you earn. The question wasn’t directed at you and your answer is stating the bleeding obvious but it seems with some on here Tory austerity - bad
EU austerity- good/necessary
Why is that?

The EU's political elite is, the EU itself is a potential foil to unregulated and unaccountable capitalism, in the same way the US state is. The fact that we have bought a lie and allowed the capitalists to buy our countries with worthless promises does not make the institutions worthless and corrupt. It is those who squat in positions of power and use the institutions corruptly that are worthless.

" well il have a go at it !
I would asume they wouldn't as both countries would be expelled or if one was clearly at fault I guess they would have the whole of NATO fighting them ?
I right ?
But what you describe is not a mechanism for solving a dispute peacefully, it is a mechanism for going to war or letting those in dispute get on with it. Which is ironically what nato does. " havnt a clue if I was right , just having some fun on answer wing the question . I don't have faith in the E U or NATO !
When push comes to shove NATO do what the Yanks want ! |

"Centy and his like will not be happy until the EU is destroyed.
The EU is not responsible for peace in Europe, the organisation responsible for peace here and all over the world is Nato.
Please let me know how NATO stops conflicts BETWEEN NATO members then. Explain the mechanism to me. Break it down for me like I have never heard of NATO. Tell me which decision making bodies inside NATO would meet and in which order to facilitate NATO taking military action against one of it's own members.
Come on Centaur, tell me how. If you can. Had there ever been a conflict between 2 NATO Members ?
No, but I'm asking him through what mechanism it stops wars between member states. I can talk you through step by step how NATO goes to war, what decision making bodies etc. But can Centaur do the same? well il have a go at it !
I would asume they wouldn't as both countries would be expelled or if one was clearly at fault I guess they would have the whole of NATO fighting them ?
I right ?
Well Centaur is the person saying that they have kept the peace between members of NATO, so it's up to him to explain how."
Surprise surprise, Centaur is unable to explain through what mechanism NATO stops conflict between member states. |

Is Nato fuelling the rise of the far right in Europe with it political policies? Nope, it's the EU that is doing that. |

NATO are doing a grand job in Syria then, like they did in Afghanistan, Iraq , Africa, Ukraine, Palestine.....
Ohh... I never knew Serbia / Kosovo were EU member states... even in the late 1990's, silly me... |

Where above did I mention bogeyman or even the rest of the world? I was just stating some facts about Kosovo.

The EU and it's policies are making things unstable rather than stable.
Ohh... I never knew Serbia / Kosovo were EU member states... even in the late 1990's, silly me...
I suggest you go and read a history book and read up on the EU's involvement in it.
You need to get some new history books if you think Serbia and Kosovo used to be members of the EU!
Has anyone said Kosovo was/is in the EU?
Although using the Euro as it's currency and the EU mission there having the largest number of EU civil servants outside of Brussels it is effectively an EU protectorate.
So the big bogeyman from Brussels is the source of all the problems not just in member states, but around the world!
Where above did I mention bogeyman or even the rest of the world? I was just stating some facts about Kosovo.
Who said Kosovo was/is in the EU?
Or are you going to respond to this post with a question insinuating that someone has said something when they clearly haven't?"
1 person said they never knew Kosovo was in the EU, Person 2 said read a history book.

Lots of stuff about The Jews, The Muslims, and swarms from over the Med on this thread.
Such goodwill and non racist sentiments towards human beings who don't look and sound like 'us'.
Where ARE the fucking mods? This should have been closed down ages ago.
Fucking outrageous comments from some people on here.
The immigration problem is not a problem. The way the media and certain politicos are brainwashing ignorant(and probably helplessly ignorant)people to believe it is a problem IS the problem.
Now I'm fucking off to where people aren't offensive, stupid, and borderline sociopathic(judging by their comments anyway).
Left wingers/liberals: you're never gonna convert them!
Racists: just burn. Or change the websites you read. There's a compelling humanity on the 'other side' you know. You might feel more included in the world. Maybe, even, happier! |

Better have them venting off here rather than out in the streets where they could escalate it to more than just insults.
Oh and as, I'm sure, *they*'ll tell you: they're not racists. They're just exercising their democratic right to be ignorant and in denial
Welcome to the true nature of Brexit: giving licence to all kinds of "prejudice" and hatred to be "justified" as patriotism and democracy. |
