The joining together of these 2 companies is somewhat troubling, when you look at who owns them, their near total control of the global glasses market and business practices. With the UK likely to find increasing costs for imports in the near future, it raises the prospects for this engorged business to result in glasses that will have much higher prices in the UK.
Just one European supplier that ensnares the opticians that you know. There are likely more supply chains like this in order industries. |

Italian eyewear designer Luxottica is to merge with French lens maker Essilor.
