Is international law, which is often for all intents and purposes unenforceable, really law if it can be broken with impunity?
This is especially true for the major powers of the world. |

My understanding is international law is derived from numerous treaties and conventions.
The international court exists to prosecute war crimes of the type alleged here.
What rule of law is being upheld by a barrage of missiles when a legal process already exists?
Exceptionalism.
There is no other description.
The concept that a culture is so superior, so certain of its moral rectitude, that it is entitled to impose its will on others.
This, from a nation that sprayed chemicals across vast swathes of another.
That gave Saddam the means to wage chemical warfare on the Iranians.
And who may very well be complicit in the use of chemicals by Saudi in Yemen.
It is Orwell-esque to argue that unleashing a torrent of missiles is a humanitarian act.
Or that this is the end when the US had a task force sailing to Syria.
This is about regime change, just as it was in Iraq. Only the tactics are different.
It is exceptionalism that allowd the US ti believe it alone in this world is entitled to pursue regime change.
Can you name a year when the Americans were not attacking some country some where?

"Dunno but JC certainly shut the warmongers up by quoting some
Did he? The missiles have been fired, do you expect Trump, Macron and May to be arrested anytime soon? "
No...
But maybe if JC becomes PM the law will be changed in order to stop future PM's following the Maybots example. |

What would the outline of this new law be? |

He may be planning to strip powers from the Crown and pass them to Parliament. To be honest I would be uncomfortable with this but would understand it. |
