The french policemen who has died from his injuries to save inocent people.
It takes a very special person to walk into a situation like that with nothing to fight back or protect you're self.

An example of real courage. The lady whose place he took must be so relieved! He did his job, lead by example to his men and paid the ultimate price! Trebes is such a pretty town and it just shows these things can happen anywhere. It's a bit of a reminder - be vigilant at all times! |

The chap married his girlfriend in hospital a few hours before he died.
A priest did the last rites and the wedding vows.
What a guy - getting married presumably means his partner will be entitled to whatever death-in-service benefit exists in France. He's looking after her.
They had a big ceremony for him in France the other day. The top man went along.
He's a national hero.
