The Sun... yeah... yeah... no fucking surprise, right? But it's this kind of claptrap that Brexiteers actually start to believe:
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/5679990/heres-some-of-the-high-street-savings-we-can-make-after-brexit-if-jeremy-corbyn-doesnt-become-pm/
1) "According to experts..." aren't brexiteers meant to have had enough of them?
2) No experts actually mentioned in article
3) No source of figures
4) Only reference to anyone outside the article is "Jayne Adye, Director of pressure group Get Britain Out"... yeah, no shit.
5) "Prices are set to tumble". Yeah, that is IF we were to get a free trade deal
6) Even if we did cut tariffs then that is actually LESS money going to govt coffers, where is the rest coming from? hint: don't say £350m that has already been spent 100x over already
7) "If we stay in the customs union, as the Labour leader wishes, consumers would have to keep paying these higher costs." Yeah, again, this makes a pretty big fucking assumption that we get a free trade deal with all these places.
Even for The Sun, this is getting low.

If lies are repeated often enough, people think they are true. You can view it in these forum post threads.
Customers are likely not considered to benefit from when materials costs fall -
Like the energy companies don't cut prices in the same way they will quickly increase them when costs rise.
We've not had a clear plan from government, even though they just have a few weeks left - at least Labur have laid out a plan from which to start negotiations. They are credible unlike the self-interested conservative who at each others throats to prevent their implosion or become the next leader.
Such a piece of shit served up as journalism to ensure their swivel eyed frothing readers keep to Murdochs plan for the UK. |
