Leaver academics writing in leaver papers and reported on leaver news channel.
Hot cup of confirmation bias anyone?
Kind of redundant seeing as we ARE leaving anyway.
Best thing for sensible people to do is emigrate if you are rich enough, and stock up on tinned goods if you aren't. ![](/icons/s/2/cute.gif) |

You are always going to get academics on both sides of the debate.
It really depends on your field of expertise and where you get funding from and if your heavily involved in EU projects or in partnership with EU companies.
Some brains will leave some will stay
Some citizens will leave because of brexit some won't..

"Not sure where they would find brains for it lol."
How about Oxford University and Cambridge university with academics like economist Dr Graham Gudgin, historian Professor Robert Tombs, Theology Professor Nigel Biggar, ex MI6 chief Sir Richard Dearlove and history Professor David Abulafia. |

Prof Gudin has largely been critised by the global community of economics for rejecting the gravity trade model and having been wrong on the issue everytime he tried to find annomilies in the developed world.
General rule of thumb, you trade with your geographically closer counter parts unless a). Your country is a shithole, or b.) Your neighbours nation is a shithole.
Next point.
Why does a historian have weighting on the politics snd economics of britain? What is his specialist subject?
Next point.
Why the hell ate we listening to a theology professor?
I'll give you the ex-MI6 cheif. He might actually have something of worth to say. |

Why still pretend to make an economic argument for Brexit?
It's a nonsense. Leavers claim that all the data and opinions are fake or unreliable unless they support their case. The case is made by a very small number of academics with a scattering of politicians and business people with little or no exposure with EU trade risk.
Just make the emotional case. That's all that it's ever been. I can understand that even if I don't agree with it.
The mental contortions that you have to do and the contradictory positions that have to be held for any logical arguments to work make those putting them forward look foolish. It damages your case. |
