"Would you welcome 100 extraterrestrial aliens equally to the UK as 100 illegal alien immigrants? "
Hell yeah! The tech they must have just to be able to travel the distance to get here would be reason enough. Who knows what other advanced abilities they would have. And as for the ET's........... |

What if they'd been given the wrong sort of passports on landing on earth as refugees? Or would their skin colour - assuming they have skin - alter peoples' opinions? |

We talking shades of green here as opposed to shades of brown?
Or possibly shades of blue vs shades of red!

I did see some figures that people are more open to perceiving aliens as positive, rather than enemies, in recent polling.
Would super-producing aliens, if they work, expect super-benefits, whilst not working? |

Would the aliens have arrived here in the UK first, or would they have come here after visiting other countries, and therefore in breach of the Dublin Agreement?
If they were here to share knowledge then they would need a student visa and be unable to work. I can see the fact that they would have no legal tender on them a problem in that situation though. We only want aliens who are going to contribute financially.
And finally, what if they came here, integrated with us, and then proceeded to wage war against us in order to enslave us to worship their high queen?
No thanks, take control of our borders and blow them out of the sky. |

So the value of gold would be wiped out overnight, and we'd be hooking them up to piss milking machines?
Welcome to earth. |

Nope! I would much rather 1000 or a 1,000,000 illegal immigrants rather than 100 extraterrestrials.
We are proof that being the dominant (intelligent or not) species in an ecosystem is bad news for all those lower down the food chain. The more intelligent the species the worse the news. Any extraterrestrial would be light-years in advance of us and therefore extremely bad news for us... |
