I think the US vice president missed an opportunity to take an upper, moral and diplomatic hand by not shaking hands with NK in Korea.
Whilst I agree the firm stance taken by Trumps administration, and in particular Trump himself, I don't agree with his methods.
However a small gesture could have opened doors and maybe a positive result. It wouldn't be a sign of weakness, but a master stroke of diplomacy.
Your thoughts please. |

The current US administration doesn't do diplomacy.
Its strategy is that of the playground bully.
A unified team was a positive and highly symbolic step.
All the VIPs stood up to applaud their entrance to the stadium during the opening ceremony - except Pence.
I hope the US might take a back seat and allow these tantalising shoots of reconciliation to root. But that is not in their style.

absolutely not, live and let live (to a degree)
as I do disagree with marriage, my view is that a marriage should be between man and women.
if 2 men want to live together fine
if 2 females wish to live together fine,
but I think marriage should only be for man and woman, one of the reasons I walked away from snp, as well as changes to gun laws, baby boxes, and their acknowledgement that the whole of Scotland voted to remain in EU when it is obvious 1 million of us did not. |

This isn't the first time that Korean sport has done this.
Don't underestimate how manipulative the North Korean regime is. They have certainly outplayed Trump so far, but he's even more of a child than their boy |
