This is great news (for leave), anything Soros puts his name to is bound to create more opposition than support for what he's funding.

No doubt they'll be funded very well. They'll push hard for a vote on the most important part of brexit. The final deal.Should we stay or should we go.

they are going on a road trip with a massive anti-brexit campaign all backed up with an online campaign too ... it'll definately liven things up and really hold a magnifying glass over the abject failure of the tory handling of .brexit

Whatever they do, they need to remember that they will never defeat the Brexit ideology with logic or statements of fact.

Brexiters are the true snowflakes in our society because they voted on a feeling that they were being ruled over by nasty foreigners and that they were losing their Britishness.

Defeating the Brexit ideology is going to have to involve some kind of realism to overcome their feelings of fear.

I don't support Brexit for any of those reasons. I support Brexit because the EU is fundamentally undemocratic, serves the interests of furthering globalism.

I don't see Brexit as a left issue, it is squabbling between two right wing factions.

If you think the EU has anything to do with "unity" or "common purpose" of anything other than the interests of capital, you are naieve in the extreme.

Also; Brexit is tearing the Tory party assunder and it's highly entertaining.

despite the bickering and finger pointing ... the upshot of this is that the brextremists are about to have their own tactics of digital confusion to destabilise the opposition used against them .... things will get messy, but the right wing traditionally can't stop themselves from knifing each other in the back when things get sticky as they haven't got any instinct other than the ideology of protecting the self, selfish fuckers that they are

Good news for democracy, which the sane minded of the UK support wanting an educated, informed electorate.

People love sovereignty, the power of the representative and the people that they represent having full power and control over the deal on offer - then selecting to reject or accept it. That is sovereignty at its best. Those against it are against democracy and the reasoning behind the referendum.

With education the massive levels of ignorance sticking around like shit. Too much of what stinks shows itself around here.

I agree the EU is not a left/right issue. It's an extremist vs moderate issue. Whilst it may entertain you that it's tearing the Tory party asunder the only reason why it's not tearing the Labour party asunder is because they're not actually in power but the division is just as deep.

No, some are but not all. Overs are just ill-informed financially.

There is a reason why many rich people back BREXIT and it has a lot to do with forth coming regulations from the EU on assets and money held offshore. Banks, BoJo and Mogg are not stupid or racist but they are rich and do have large assets offshore that they definitely don't want taxed, as they would be under the new EU regulations.

Leaving the EU won't solve offshore tax avoidance but staying in will change it (or some of it) from being legal tax avoidance to being illegal tax evasion.

If the donation is legal, it's then about whether the recipient organisation is similarly legal. If it's campaigning for education increases by educating people, so that the sovereignty of the people can be properly engaged with, it can ensure that their political representatives actually do represent them appropriately.

The only focus is on whether the deal offer is any good. If not, it should be spurned and walked away from.

i can't see anywhere in all this where people are saying the donation is illegal. it was illegal during the campaigning leading up to the vote for foreign actors to be involved with any of the groups involved. since the referendum is closed then it is seen to be no infringement from any of the donations to best for britain.

so basically it's just a bunch of brextremists bitching and whinging because they are petrified that a well organised and consolidated effort to put the brakes on brexit will have an effect.

hence the anti-semitic dog whistling against soros being displayed in the media and in these forums.

Yea, that's the other populist boggy man the expert/wealthy/liberal/educated elite are to blame. (under line your own pet hate). It's no different than blaming those pesky foreigners when the reality is is that we're were we are because the many, not the few, made choices that put us here. If we ever want to make things better then we, the many, have got to start taking responsibility for the situation we're in and stop trying to pin the blame on some mythical elite or other minority. If we do that then we really will have made the first real step to 'taking back control'

"Actually... The people i work with are fed up of the super rich, creaming off large sums into offshore bank accounts and robbing the wealth out the country

I find it amazing that ordinary working people will listen to and allow themselves to be influenced by millionnaire and billionaire media owners, influencers and politicians. You know these fuckers got rich off our seat and endeavours and you think they have our best interests at heart.

You, me and every other person on this website has more in common with our contemporaries in France, Germany and Holland than we do with any tax dodging media baron or UKIP bankrolling businessmen.

You are being sold such a con it is untrue. Billionnaires want you to believe that the EU is only about wealthy elites. You know the game... Look over there - not here. The foreigner is your enemy - not me. Yes sir.

I know for a fact the ruling elite and the chumocracy will ne alive and well come what may, while the lower classes pay for it.

If we do that then we really will have made the first real step to 'taking back control'"

Oh right, so tell me how i brought this mess about.?!

The Eu are drafting legislation to force intermediaries to disclose offshore tax schemes.

So they are trying.

Not that this may be why JRM et al are pro brexit. As they wouldn’t know if this is good or bad for them or not. As they don’t believe in economic predictions.

Interesting point - the government have form for talking up action against tax avoidance but very limited action - so they should be judged by acts not words. The EU does have a habit of inflicting changes that some of the wealthy around Europe are probably very unhappy with. Some would view enhanced worker rights and protection as wrong - despite evidence that improved relationships between employer and employee can drive business success. Many of them yearn for a mythical time of having complete control and flexibility to do what they want with their money and people. Times change.

If recent times have highlighted one thing very clearly, it is how abusive many with power and money are, such that tighter constraint of them, more than the masses, is where the focus should be put.

Some state that the EU is just an enabler of globalisation, yet it has enabled people to also live more freely and with more power.

The extremists attempting to force UK government to take the hardest Brexit possible, whatever the deal or cost, are slime from the original origins of life - they aren't evolved to any greater sophistication than that. Way below the levels of neanderthals, who were community spirited.

The people should take back control and never entrust such filth with any social power.

He's determined to show how out of step he is with things: a bit like the government and lack of progress, apart from messing things up as much as possible.

West Wales and Cardiff

Judging by its name, this new remain organisation has fallen into the same lazy trap as virtually everyone else (until it belated because clear what an intractable issue it was) and not wondered what the best for Northern Ireland is.

When it starts to get to the point that the car companies and some of or even all of the Japanese owned are serious in their intent to move their operations to the continent and the workers get wind of it and the local MP's start to get grief and the jitters then pragmatism may one might hope shape the direction of travel of the present Government..

We have a weak leader in number 10 who every time a couple of the more hard line swivel eyed loons in her party get vocal flip flops on what we have already agreed to thus far, if it was a time of indecision in the first year post the referendum its feckin shambolic now..

no wonder the EU look confused, we don't appear in any way to have a cohesive thought through plan and it's our future..

'we' voted for this mess and its apparent that we did not have a clue before as to what we wanted other than glib populist cliches and irrelevant sound bites..

It's just a catastrophic mess, largely due to the Conservative party / leader being held hostage by extremists inside of it. The UK has a few months before the EU has to agree their offer, later in 2018 - but hasn't even told the EU what they want yet

"

"All Brexiters are ill-informed racists" is the today's particular flavour of bourgoise arrogance.

I have never heard that?

All ill-informed racists are Brexiters for sure

All Xenophobes and right-wing extremists are also Brexiters.

As are most of those who live in regions that are not socially inclusive.

Most anti LGBTQ people are anti- Brexit

There are of course also some perfectly decent Brexiters who, for their own reasons think that it is a good thing."

So most Anti-LGBTQ people are remainers......glad you've cleared that up then.
