I was under the impression that Glenda Jackson and Ronald Reagan were actors and Seb Coe a middle distance olympian (celebrities) who became politicians not the other way round.
In fact I would say the only one who has gone from politician to celebrity would be Robert Kilroy-Silk (share of shaft anyone).

The geezer who does the railway programmes on the telly - he was secretary of state for defence sometime in the past - he's probably gone from politician to broadcaster. He's come across as a nice guy, but I forget his name now. |
