I've read previously that India expects the UK to concede unlimited access to the UK's universities for Indian nationals in return for any agreement on trade. So it would not be a surprise |

The difference nowadays is that India, China and other parts of the Asia continent are where it's all happening, economically.
India is in a strong position to extract concessions from the UK. The UK position is relatively weak.
It would be a mistake to confuse an India subjugated by imperial Britain with the strong, dynamic and independent India of today.

That's true but it would also be an even bigger mistake to believe that the people who voted BREXIT to stop EU immigration will not treat immigrants from India any better than they did when they were, or recently had been, subjects of Britain. |

There’s loads on here that have said imagration was no 1 why they voted leave
I won’t name names have a scroll through the threads you will see the same old names over and over again about imagration and racism is absolutely disgusting call them selves British |

Can you quote anyone on here that has said they voted brexit to specifically reduce non-white immigration?
Because people would like to see lower immigration, or immigration controlled, does not make them racist. |

I don't think it's anywhere near that number corse there's sum but that's the case across all walks of life police teachers politians everywhere it's always been the case but its always been a tiny minority |

It's estimated that approx 2 million of leave votes were from the BAME sector.
They voted 2 to 1 Remain though.

Could well be. Don't you remember the completely rubbish trade mission that Hammond did to India last year? Where he basically came back with sod all apart from being told that Indian nationals would want freer entry to the UK as part of any trade deal.

The Indian PM did make all this clear as to what he expected in return for free trade a few months after the vote and we started begginf, or was it laxer visa regulation on Indian students staying here after graduating? If amshe he's turning up the heat.
Ah well prepare for manufacturing being outsourced more to the subcontinent and greater labour market saturation if we conceed. |
