Seasoned businessman?!

Hahahahaahahahahah

He has bankrupted pretty much every business he has had, been charged and fined for money laundering. Been pumping up his clubs and hotels with his presidential status. Couldn’t even get a budget through even though his party controls all 3 legislative branches and has yet to actually pass any significant legislation. Oh and got the lowest presidential rating ever.

Yeah. Seasoned.

So have HSBC I don't see you bitching about them on a daily basis?.

Let's get one thing straight, trump ain't good, he's gonna screw everybody as much as he can.... Exactly the same as every fucking leader we've ever had and every major FTSE 100 company does on a daily basis... The only friggin difference is they give you some nice patter to stop you whinging on forums about racism or xenophobia or how triggered we all are about some tweet.... Let's cut the bullshit about how "different" anything would have been if only racists hadn't voted for trump.

Trump is just another in a long line of manifestations of human nature.

The system isn't fucked, its the people in the system that are fucked, the sooner we come to grips with that in an honest manner the better off we'll all be trying to move forward

I get your point but come on as a leader he has been a myriad of hypocrisy.

Drain the swamp, washkngton is a swamp, crooked Hilary a shill for Wall Street - yeah I agree, but then what do you get, his entire financial team are goldman sachs guys. The guys who fucked the American public over, us too, got bailed out and still fuck us over.

Tax breaks, oh yeah a tax break - only if youre already wealthy though, who does the tax break effect, a small percent of US households.....

And then yeah, he flirtd with the idea of medicare for all, a sander's policy, the shilled for big pharma and isurance firms.

And yes, the Republican GOP has overall control of all 3 legislative branches, he cant get them all to agree of policies in unison to get them through - a leader in times of chaos who brings no uniformity to his party's policies. Much like our PM.

God help trump if the Democrats actually start pushing real issues instead of Russia bullcrap in the run up to their local elections.

well said;

TAXES

Trump and congressional Republicans delivered on an overhaul that substantially lowers corporate taxes and cuts personal income taxes, as promised. It's sizable but not everything Trump said it would be, and it is more tilted to the wealthy than he promised or will admit. He promised a 15 percent tax rate for corporations and settled for 21 percent, still a major drop from 35 percent

.

TRADE

Trump made good on his promise to withdraw the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement and to reopen the North American Free Trade Agreement in search of a better deal.

Trump promised to impose a 35 percent tariff on goods from U.S. companies that ship production abroad. He's not delivered on that. Instead, his tax plan aims to encourage companies to stay in the U.S. with the lower tax rate and to entice those operating abroad to come home by letting them repatriate their profits in the U.S. at a temporarily discounted rate. His approach so far is all carrot, no stick

.

IMMIGRATION

He's now succeeded in banning the entry of citizens from several Muslim-majority countries and in severely curbing refugee admissions. He's tried to deny certain federal money for cities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities

Trump is now deep in negotiations over an immigration deal that could deliver on other promises, including money for the border wall with Mexico and overhauling the legal immigration system to make it harder for immigrants to sponsor their families.

.

ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Trump promised aggressive action on the energy front and has pursued that.

He announced his intention to take the U.S. out of the Paris climate-change accord. He gave swift approval to the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines stalled by President Barack Obama, moved to shrink protected national monument lands in Utah and Arizona, and acted to lift restrictions on mining coal and coastal drilling for oil and natural gas.

A provision in the new tax law opens the long-protected Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to drilling.

As other countries turn harder toward green energy, Trump is making fossil fuels the centerpiece of his drive toward energy independence — a benchmark that Obama closed in on during an era of surging natural gas development

.

HEALTH CARE

Probably nothing exemplifies frustrated ambition more than the Obama health law Republicans have been trying to dismantle ever since it was enacted in 2010. Trump has declared it dead many times — he just never got around to killing it but the time is ticking.

Trump's "America First" ethic has been reflected in his pressure on member NATO countries to step up their own military spending, in his wariness of international accords and in the seeming drift from a diplomatic tradition of promoting U.S. democratic values abroad

.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Trump pledged a $1 trillion effort to rebuild the country's airports, roads, bridges and other infrastructure. Perhaps we can all drive route 66 again.

.

Trump

Donald J. Trump is the personification of the American dream. He is a true patriot and successful businessman. Every day, he offers ordinary Americans hope to make America greater than ever before. In the political field, he has been doing things that have never been done before. He has single handedly reshaped American politics forever and political analysts will be studying Trump's campaign and presidency many years from now

Time to have him carved into Mount Rushmore perhaps.

I agree with you completely, the democrats need to drop the corporate arm of the party and get back to issues that people really want.

The real problem for democrats is everything they attack trump on comes back to bite them on their corporate arses and its two steps forward one step back.

Theres folks in Illinois crying out for water pipes not social media witch hunts

Its actually a strange phenomenon that racists think that everyone is really a racist but doesnt want to admit it for some reason. Its only 50 or 60 years ago that being openly racist was acceptable and if a majority still thought that way then it would still be acceptable. Unfortunately for you the vast majority of the people have moved on from your racist ideas.

Its particularly stupid of you to be racist given that its not that long ago that Irish people were considered sub human, literally thought of as something less than a real person. Granted you probably dont have the education and intelligence to interrogate those ideas but Ill try and simplify it for you.

Where people racist against africans for being sub human they said the same about the Irish.

Where people complain about immigrants from poor countries arriving broke, poor and looking for work they used to criticise us for the same thing.

Now people discriminate against Muslims for the terrorist acts of a few they used to do the same to us. (Hell I got a DM only last month from some enraged Scottish orangeman calling me a baby killer because Im Irish).

Now I dont expect to change your mind with any of this, youre old, set in your ways and clearly not bright enough to be able to discuss this let alone form any kind of comprehensible or logical reply. But what I am pointing out (since you'll probably need it spelled out) is that no, most people arent racist like you think and that we look down on you as stupid and a relic from the days people thought leeches were a good cure for disease.

Still making false statements about other's on the forum then, care to post a link to those comments? You made false statements about me on here a few weeks ago even when I posted links to other threads to prove you wrong you still didn't apologise. Then you made false statements about hotlovefun on another thread, to which he posted links which proved you wrong, but at least on that occasion you made a public apology to him.

You are an absolute disgrace, given you now have a proven track record on making false statements about others now I don't see why anyone should believe a single word you say.

You did post a link to a post that you had made later on but on the issue and many on here who have been part of 'debates' with you will attest to it that you hid like that other coward trump behind the phrase 'condemn all violence' in relation to Charlottesville but you ducked the issue of the murder by a vile racist using a car..

you have shown on here that your quick to scream outrage and condemn as do others whenever an IS or Taliban terrorist commits a cowardly act of murder but you go a bit quiet when the same vile cowardice is carried out by a white person of the far right..

Yup. Look up 'bikeshedding'. In a nutshell, you can have a town council meeting in which plans to build a nuclear power plant in the town get waved through without much thought, and the majority of the meeting is spent arguing the colour to paint the bike sheds.

The theory is that some things a just too complex for people to understand and so they completely shut off from them. But the colour of bike sheds. They understand that, and they want their say dammit!

It is what happened with Brexit too. The consequences of the UK leaving the EU were so wide and so complex and so many people's brains just shut down. But blue passports, they can understand an argument about that!

Trump is slightly different, but a very obvious tactic of just throw so much outrageous random shit out there that people just can't cope with it any more. It gets normalised and then people just ignore it. As soon as something regarding his upcoming impeachment gets near, he goes off on one about something trivial and makes it into a big thing, just for distraction.

Racist old ...but hey no worries I'm happy and love pulling ya chains...like little fish...love u all forgot to mention...very well educated...succesful bizz man and rich ...must be thick or look in mirror.. .it might be u

Calling bullshit on that given about 3 years ago you were whining about not getting the benefits you thought you were entitled to and the foreigners coming here (your words and even worse language too) we're being given everything..

Was the same time you thought it acceptable to machine gun any of 'them' crossing the channel..

Didnt you claim to be a long serving member of the army too..

Busy eh..

No you didn't you said one thing then posted a link to something else..

As usual your lying but it's nothing new for you..

Track record my arse and coming from you that's funny, given your own postings..

BTW saying sorry for something one has gotten wrong is some thing you should try doing..

Mate you can fuck right off with calling anyone out on here, your nasty little racism is there for all to see so shove your Faux outrage where your values are..."

lol

guess someone lost the plot there and spat the dummy

A Republican-drafted memo alleging FBI bias against US President Donald Trump will be released on Friday, a senior White House official says.

Mr Trump is expected to declassify the document and send it to Congress for release, according to US media.

The FBI has voiced "grave concerns" about the release of the memo, which is expected to have redactions.

It reportedly says the FBI misled an intelligence court to obtain a warrant to spy on the Trump election campaign.

And a more objective account would have that the report has been altered after the cross party Committee saw it..

Altered by the republican chair..

So, just for clarity, doing good is a bad thing?

Also, just for clarity, how many times has Trump been bankrupt and how many times has he not paid his employees and suppliers?

If you are unable to step up and justify your assertions then it appears that you have just believed what you've been told without checking it's veracity.

That is the definition of foolish

"I love the way he pisses of the media and the Do Gooders .

I said it from day one he will be the best President of all times .

Now away ye go and bitch away but the Yanks have got it right voting in a extremely seasoned business man to get the States rocking in a short time.

Well done President Trump.

well said;

Time to have him carved into Mount Rushmore perhaps."

So, sometimes I think that there is some vague logic and intelligence behind what you say. Bitter and selfish, but something.

Then there are other times that I think, like Pat, that you are actually lonely and vulnerable because you are on here just to get some attention, and possibly a little senile because you might believe the stuff you hear

I'm sure that you will now state with absolute conviction how wealthy and important and loved you are...which raises its own questions.

Taxes

Bonanza for the wealthy and.big corporations so that it "trickles down" to the poor.

Of no direct benefit to Trump and his family whatsoever.

Trade

Everything will cost more in the US and choice and innovation will be curtailed.

Energy and the Environment

Dirty water, dirty air, dirty land. New coastal real estate when waters rise after he (and you) have gone. More money for the wealthy now though.

China wants green energy. China will win and the USA will be tied to old technology.

Kodak.

Healthcare

Earlier death and debilitating if you're poor.

NATO

No problem with expecting payment. However, an unreliable ally is not an ally. Leadership surrendered.

Infrastructure

Obama also pledged the money but was blocked by partisan politics. The country has already Vern shut down in his first year...

If the American dream is being born the son of a millionaire, being a crooked businessman, dodging the draft, reneging on deals, lying, disrespecting women and being racist...then yep. He is what everyone should aspire to.

I mean, who'd want their children to aspire to being a nurse or doctor or scientist or teacher or carer. Fools.

"Hillary Clinton might be going to jail after all "

remember this all started as a republican document that the democrats then ran with!

if you are talking about the nunes memo.... i would save the grinning quite yet...

what has been released is the republican version of the memo.... which they released unclassified after being given the ok by the president...

the democrats on the committee haven't actually seen this version as nunes wouldn't show it to them..... so the democrats have actually produced their version....and we are waiting to see if the president will also allow that version to be released...

also.....

1)the democrats on the committee are saying they have seen all the documents, but the memo doesn't tell all the story and/or represent all the documents

2) the republicans on the committee have voted against the democrats having a rebuttal to this....

3) the house intelligence committee have refused to share this information with the senate intelligence committee (which is still working on a bi-partisan basis..)

as we are saying at the moment is one side of a story where politicans have gone against the recommendation of the FBI and the DOJ (both of which have trump appointees at the top of them)

this is a political reports which is basically trying to smear the top people at the FBI (basically at this point rod rosenstein) to try and get rid of them to then get to mueller.....

For anyone that actually has knowledge of the United States before Trump ran for President, they would know that it is the very highest stakes to make the FBI your enemy.

This will have to be a very quick win for Trump otherwise in the long term he will get turned inside out by the FBI.

I know. Who needs to think when you "know"?

People like you interest me in the same way a decaying animal does.

Kind of repulsive, but there's a lot of interesting stuff going on which might allow me to get a better understanding of the world.

The difference is, if I spent some time looking at a rotting corpse I'd discover a lot. Unfortunately with you it turns out there's nothing there. You've never been able to articulate any of your positions or provide any information beyond the most superficial newspaper headlines.

Just noisiness. You are not trying to persuade or educate. You seem unable to engage beyond, trying to bully, taunt or provoke people.

You aren't that special though. Centaur functions in a similar way to you and I treat him in much the same way.

Bless you rich, old white man who doesn't like foreigners much and who's hero is Trump for some reason

"I'm in favour of the press publishing the shit our governments get upto.... Whoever it may be!

I agree. Corporations too.

That's what the press is actually for. Not long lens photos of topless celebrities.

I'm not sure that's altogether controversial, except if you put it in the context of Trump or China. We are now desperate to be best buddies with both of them....

That's the one thing I like about trump.

People are looking!.

My big problem with with well speaking good looking liberals is they tend to turn a blind eye

I'm not following. If the most useful function of the press, liberal or otherwise, is to hold power to account, then Trump undermining it's legitimacy and trying to create his own alternate "truth" - like the Chinese or Russian states, doesn't seem to be a positive step....

I don't want anybody to undermine law and order, that includes trump or the DOJ or the FBI!.

Fair enough, but what are the circumstances under which a fair judgment can be made about this?

Who makes that judgement?"

.

Well that's the real problem without an unbiased press.

Its not like you can't blame them, they like all the rest of us had really had enough of Bush and then we get a charismatic good looking well speaking black guy, hooray, alas we let him get away with far too much!, stuff that trump certainty wouldn't have got away with

We all put too much faith in politicans to solve shit, the reality is politicans can only invoke laws, there not going to fix racism or sexism or xenophobia or trans gender issues, there evolutionary societal problems.

So let's concentrate on what they can fix, housing, NHS, infrastructure.... Stop invading Libya or Syria, I mean this comes back to mind about what I said earlier (which I was derided for from Matt) about Calais and refugees, the Iraq invasion, nobody in the UK wanted it, a million people marched against it and yet only a few years later the government was trying to invade Syria and then bomb Libya, the vast majority of the UK are not interested in bombing or invading these countries just like there not interested in Thais, Vietnamese, Eritreans and Ghanians claiming refugees status, the majority of people know it's bollocks and yet no government left or right is willing to act on it..... There's an underlying agenda through the press on everything from wars to immigration to trade deals and that's why we get brexit and trump.

"I love the way he pisses of the media and the Do Gooders .

Walls,Racist,Emigration,Shitholes etc .

I said it from day one he will be the best President of all times .

Now away ye go and bitch away but the Yanks have got it right voting in a extremely seasoned business man to get the States rocking in a short time.

Well done President Trump.

well said;

Time to have him carved into Mount Rushmore perhaps."

Nice cut and paste, have you got anything in your head that didn't originate in the Daily Fail or the National Enquiror?

The man is a proven liar, a serial bankrupt, a con artist and fantasist.

I don't like secret courts and I don't like secret services... Truth be known I just don't like secrets.

Carter page is as far as I've heard completely innocent, to get fisa permission they allege he was a foreign agent!!...

We all know why the secret services admittedly don't like trump and didn't want him elected and it's got nothing to do with trump being a tit or a racist or even an oligarch.... He didn't seem willing to go along with the MIC, all those pre election speeches of getting out of foreign wars just like Bernie Sanders means the deep state will make sure they do everything to make sure you don't get elected

There are very few good decisions that can be made in politics. Everything is a crap compromise because there is never enough money or information or time to make the optimum choice.

The problem with the press isn't liberal bias. The main problem is that it's proliferation has led to an endless demand for shallow "news" grazing. This has led to the view that the world is a horrible place and everyone's life is miserable and everyone's life is miserable.

The unemployment rate for US black workers jumped to 7.7% last month, reversing course after falling to a record low in December.

The new figures were a potentially awkward turn of events for President Donald Trump, who has bragged repeatedly about the decline.

Job gains in 2017 pushed the black unemployment rate down in December to 6.8%.

While that was the lowest rate since the US started tracking the figure in 1972, it remained by far the highest of racial groups.

The national unemployment rate has fallen 60% since 2009 to 4.1% - a level not seen since the start of the century.

The white unemployment rate was 3.7% in December, while it hovered at 2.5% for Asians and at 4.9% for Hispanic and Latinos

The January rate of 7.7% among black workers was the highest since April. (The unemployment rate for white workers, however, edged lower to 3.5%.)

The black unemployment rate has been roughly double that of the white rate for decades

Can you back that up with any evidence that isnt anecdotal?

And the US unemployment figures only include people actively looking for work which would mean that the 7.7% are trying to get work.

he's engaging in being lazy and flippant....again

if cask knew anything (which he doesn't but he likes to spout anyway) then he would know that historically throughout the report black unemployment has been about 3% higher than white counterparts....

and it as well he likes to take credit... but forgets to tell people that unemployment figures has decreased in every month since march 2012........

will leave the graphs for you, as well as the suit & tie, keep trying to look smart and fit in my son. "

Yawn.

More bragging and still empty of content.

Every time you do this you make your assertions less and less credible.

Enjoy your isolation, and no, I'm not interested in how popular you are now going to claim that you are

"The unemployment rate for US black workers jumped to 7.7% last month, reversing course after falling to a record low in December.

The black unemployment rate has been roughly double that of the white rate for decades

you think some just don't want to work?

The point is still what Trump has done to influence any of this?

You quoted a fall in unemployment from 2009.

All your other information is for one time point.

You might have to look at one of those nerdy graphs to understand if your hero has actually influenced anything

with the last 5 years working in control room, I have had enough of graphs, temps/pressures/levels to see my lifetime out

No. It seems that you are still unable to provide any information to back up anything that you say.

An attempt to patronise me and a playground challenge is just another way to try to shut people down.

You really are quite a manipulative bully. Why do you do it?

Anyway, the data has been posted and it's clear that Trump has had no effect on any of the economic data yet except for stock market valuations which are based more on sentiment and rumours than company value.

If Cask, or the OP, or anyone else is able to indicate a link between a Trump policy and any economic data other than the DOW that might be interesting.

Otherwise, meh. Just noise

Tourism numbers? That sector of the economy has been affected by Trump. Consecutive years of incoming tourist numbers and then a drop when Trump becomes President.

UK - down 6.2%

Mexico - down 9.4%

China - down 10.6%

The United States lost $2.7 billion in tourist revenue in the first three months of 2017 over the same period in 2016.

Spain is now forecast to overtake the United States and become the second most visited country in the world.

Yes. I assume that it's an attempt at intimidation, but it could be some sort of obsession.

Certainly odd.

Is Trump tweeting about the stock market?

No. Shares will have been cashed in if pension is being collected

Like everything else it's a source of pleasure for him that he's got lucky whilst others pay. He'll also take credit for that luck.
