There is footage on Facebook being shouted at that she was a liar going into a meeting. The same Marie black snp mp for paisely was asked to sign the potition to keep the ward open she refused point blank to do so. We she was on her way to paisely beer festival after all. Apart from that snp mps and mps sign contract to do as the party tells them to do. She was not allowed to ask for it to stay open. So the knock on effect is this.Paisley is loosing it's local children's ward. Greenocks had already transfered most of its maternity / children's ward to paisely so it is even further away. It's possible it is (the locals don't seem to think so though) but I think the matter at hand is more the hypocrisy. Before coming to power the SNP were a party who strongly campaigned against every possible NHS closure, and said they would reverse every proposal, no matter what the NHS advice was. Of course when in government it's different story. The other hypocritical part was the accusations thrown at those who said this would happen during the election. It's bizarre the local MSP has still left these accusations on his webpage. | |||

Where I disagree with you is no matter what party is in power I want local services. As we live in the same area we both know many of the services from our hospital have been transfered to Paisely. My personal opinion is no matter which country of the world..... no matter what party you are in ..... health issues are always the most difficult to deal with and I certainly would not want the thanless task of being in charge of them. On the subject of miss blacks performance concerning the ward being moved is she barely spoke out about it and then it was only due to pressure from the people of Paisely. My main concern would be could the new ward (how long has it been open?) cope with its own intake plus another wards ? The extra stuff is only a benefit to those who can use it. If the choice was having my child in hospital quicker, but with me going home at night, I possibly may accept that trad me off.
