Bad UK politician of the year 2017

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

So its getting to the end of 2017 amd its been a doozy, so would like to get the politicians you think deserve this award.

My nomination is Theresa May, on the basis that she called a snap election and lost her majority, which has now created a government which could fall apart at anytime, instead of allaying the fears of brexit she has only increased them, her government limps from one crisis after another, a very bad politician indeed!

May is a good nomination for 2nd place, but Jeremy Cunt has to be the winner again this year as he has been since 2012 when he started to dismantle the NHS and started smirking as he continually fucks over doctors and nurses.

Well figures from the Office for national statistics showed that life satisfaction and happiness levels were falling up until 2015/16. Funnily enough it's only since the country voted to leave the EU in the referendum last year that life satisfaction and happiness levels have increased.

Tbf it’s easy enough to google. And it is up. But only in England (but enough to take the uk average up)

However it is also easy to google the 2016 version which says...

reported personal well-being has improved across each of the measures over the 5 year period between the years ending March 2012 and 2016

Costa Blanca Spain...

OK even as a Tory I would say that May would be a contender. Boris would probably qualify for the podium as well.

Hypocrite of the year award would have to go to Corbyn and the two faced lying twat of the year prize would be a kick in for McDonnell.

However in what has been a vintage year for crap politicians one shines head and shoulders above the rest.

So ladies and gentlemen I give you this years winner.

Ms Dianne Abbott.

So getting some sums wrong in an interview is worse than:

- calling an unnecessary election and losing your majority

- damaging a British citizen's fight for freedom because of your big mouth

- making a hash of Brexit generally

- having to resign for inappropriate conduct towards women

- having to resign for holding unofficial meetings with Israel

- being Jacob Rees-Mogg

etc, etc, etc...

You must be very protective of maths to prioritise that.

In not sure how anyone could nominate anyone other than May for this.

I will admit there's a caliber of awful among the current cabinet that in any other time would be a shoe in. Johnson being almost aggressively unfit for his role, Patel and her Israeli indiscretions, and there's always disgraced former minister who resigned in disgrace, Liam Fox.

But at the end of the day, the person who cannot control their own cabinet and yet is tasked with one of the most political sensitive tasks in living memory is head and shoulders above the rest.

It's got to be May for repeatedly saying that she wouldn't call a GE, then doing so, losing her majority and having to bribe the DUP for support.

In all fairness though, you have a completely fucked up electoral system when a party can increase its percentage share of the votes yet lose heavily in terms of seat numbers.

"It's got to be May for repeatedly saying that she wouldn't call a GE, then doing so, losing her majority and having to bribe the DUP for support."

Theresa May looks solid as a rock compared to someone like Angela Merkel in Germany. Theresa May formed a working partnership with the DUP in a very short space of time and now has a working majority in the House of Commons. By comparison Merkel took a spanking in the German elections and has failed miserably to form any kind of coalition or working partnership with anyone. Merkel is looking at running a minority government or faces fresh new elections in the new year where she could possibly lose even more votes.

Back to the situation in the UK, the tories just overtook Labour again in the latest polls over the weekend, the tories are moving forwards while labour are going backwards, which is not surprising considering Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell practically admitted last week Labour's spending plans are not fully costed and he doesn't need to know the figure because he has a "ipad".

May lost her majority in and unforced election that she promised not to call. At her keynote speech, the set fell apart, she lost her voice and was handed her P45. She's had an awful year, most of which was of her own making.

I would have thought a man with all your expertise of the brexit situation you would have had a little bit more of common sense to believe polls because in this world they are usually wrong just look back over the last couple of years at referendum Trump. Latest conservative balls up election and you believe polls and tv media programmes that comes out with all the tosh you speak about

i know your not a betting man based on you bottling it when you predicted in excess of a 60 seat majority when May called her not calling one GE..

but i reckon Merkel will still be in her current position after the tory's have fucked May off to the back benches..

She appears in court again on December 10th, where the Iranians intend to make fresh allegations."

So her name's Nazarin Zaghari Ratcliffe. Bigger deal is bojo dropped her in the shit.

Her sentence isn't going to be doubled? Bojo and his mouth ain't finished yet

10th December we'll find out, oh what the hell I'll withdraw my nomination cos he's not doubled her sentence, just fucked things up for her plus he's a superior tory over the vile labour party.

You think they are worse than Hunt the Cunt? I normally give what you say a lot of weight but this time I am afraid you've totally missed the point. The question was who is the 'baddest' politician of the year, not the most incompetent. With all due respect I would say there can be no competition with Cunt, he has spent the last 5 years systematically dismantling the NHS, his are not acts of incompetence but deliberate acts of spite that are killing people daily!

Central

Theresa May, closely followed by Boris and David Davis.

May for breaking fixed term parliament rules and a catastrophic handling of Brexit, damaging longer term future relationships with Europe and UK prosperity.

Boris and Davis for both causing harm to the UK's reputation and disastrous Brexit efforts and international affairs harm.

On thiz basis i retract my nominations and replace them with:

Hunt the cunt - for actively destroying the NHS.

IDS for increasing the suicide rate of welfare claimants, giving a terrible acting performance of crocodile tears while faking concern over ckaimants struggling (truly cringeworthy)

Patel for being arrogant enough to visit state leaders without permission and deliberately ducking out of an emergency recess to discuss her actions.

There may be incompetence of labour but not masters bastardry like the tories.

Id nominate clegg too for being a tory puppet and abandoning values for a sniff of power he never got

Am I the the only one who thinks we could nominate each and every politician and they could all win. We all look for different things from all politicians so everybody can’t be happy. I’m not arrogant enough to think that what’s good for me suits everyone else however I’ll never push my view on others.

"It's got to be May for repeatedly saying that she wouldn't call a GE, then doing so, losing her majority and having to bribe the DUP for support.

Did you cut and paste this from somewhere or do you have short term memory loss?

Wow the stats are picking up I will not be counting reposts,

From a party perspective it’s the conservatives in the lead

With labour a distant 2nd and even distant 3rd the Lib Dem’s( though that’s a 2010-2015 thing)

Remember 29th December is when nominations close then we will find out
