So, I basically live and breathe politics. Shit, I've even stumbled across it on a site to meet and fuck people. To me, being confronted by political issues is inevitable. I'm very passionate about politics and always have been; I'm currently studying it at University. I'm just wondering, if you could meet someone off this site who has different political views to you? I mean, everyone has different opinions and it's good to hear divergent views, but the majority of my friends have the same ideologies as me and so does my partner. I'm not quite sure I could go as far to fuck someone who was against everything I stand for. It's hard to be like "Umm yeah, I'd like to play with you, but ermmm, do you want to seize the means of production?" Haha I joke, but it is something I've struggled with. Thoughts?

I like to discuss many things, including politics, especially with people who share different knowledge and opinions. I'll meet many people but a meet would need to have an objective. I'm selective about who I'll meet and meeting just to argue wouldn't be interesting, so open minds and flexibility on all sides would be essential. I think it's fair to say there are people here who have little interest in being open minded, so we'd probably find no reason to meet. .

One of my best friends has very very opposing political views (offensive to me) but he is very dear to my heart because I know I'm right and he's wrong haha. Maybe if I hadn't taken the time to get to know him as the kind and caring person he actually is...

It's kind of odd.

I think it depends on how strong someone opinions are, as you point out we all have different opinions and no matter what your political views are they’re not going to work for everyone. I think there’s no right or wrong political views, we all look for different things in life. As long as the person I was meeting was willing to accept that we’re all entitled to our own opinions then I’d have no problem.

I'm like you, I live and breath politics. To me it is the most important subject in the world. After all everything flows from politics. But unlike you although most of my friends who are political in nature share some or most of my views, most are also diametrically opposed to me on some fundamental issues. What I and my friends share in common are interests, and minds that are open to new ideas and an ability to think critically.

So yes, OP, I could easily fuck with the most radical of right wing thinkers provided they can stimulate me. After all there is nothing quite like socialist giving a fascist a really good fucking!...

Somewhere along the line Politics was lost. It went from being able to make life better for people who were the same as you.

Now it’s all about how much money your parents had, how good you are at talking shite and what other pies you can dip your fingers in.

The country looks after itself and these politicians do fuck all. As they have done for hundreds of years.

I think it's important we don't all end up living in echo chambers. Provided someone shares a belief in democracy and equality I'd be cool with meeting them. Same with religious folk.

It depends on which political views we disagree on. Some are too important to me and are indicative of a person's character. While others I'm fine disagreeing with someone on and still moving forward.

"It depends on which political views we disagree on. Some are too important to me and are indicative of a person's character. While others I'm fine disagreeing with someone on and still moving forward. "

That's a good summary. It's not support of a political party or a belief that the state or the individual are better at deciding how to allocate resource better that make me pause.

It's how these views are expressed and fundamental views on the world that matter.

I'd happily spend hours pleasuring a kind Tory or Green. I'd never fuck a racist. They wouldn't be able to bring themselves to talk to me anyway...

Views have become far more entrenched and extreme over time though.

I never thought that I'd become more leftwing as I grew older and more affluent. It then occurred to me that I haven't. What is acceptable to the right has just become more extreme
