Rumour would have it that leftists revolution turns out bad but that's not quite historically true, German money influenced the Leninist revolution but slightly before that was the real revolution in Russia, the democratic one that people voted in but the neo liberals back then (Lenin) didn't like the outcome of democracy, you can still see this today, the remain camp is more than happy to dish out dirt and call names and insert "reasons" why people voted how they didn't like!.

Lenin was influenced by German money that poured into Russia after the original democratic revolution, it was then he decided that the only way is my way, he didn't care about democracy at that point, he realised the money turns people.
You will see this play out in our life times again I believe! |

I'd sat that WW1 was a significant factor that you might have missed.
These days more people riot over football matches than political injustices. |

Not really, the first world war was about control of oil in Iraq the Germans like all countries at war seeked another market in Baku instead.
In Roman days they used to riot over gladiatoral games, didn't stop them killing the emperor eventually, you can only occupy the masses minds with shit for so long before they get bored and angry |

We never learn from history, we can go back to Aristotle to see republics turn into democracies and democracies decline into despotism.... Kant described despotism as law and force without freedom, does that ring a bell |

What an odd thread. I imagine this is a representation of what politics is going to erode away to become - each of us in a room yelling at ourselves because the biased information we've been consuming tells us to and there's no one else to yell at cuz they're all yelling in their own rooms.
It's quite philosophical and artistic in here the more I think about it. |
