So imagine the scene. Brexit has come and gone. There is then a referendum called for each of the UK countries to be given the chance for independence. To which each courtry votes leave to. After the dust has settled, which country would you want to live in? Wales, England, northern Ireland, or Scotland?

We already have the freedom to live in any of those countries, so I'm guessing most people would live in the one they are already living in.

Maybe. Id wait and see how the smaller countries welfare systems cope. Id move to Wales if it seemed to cope ok. Always fancied being Welsh.

Ok. For those at the back who didn't quite catch it the first time:

"After the dust has settled, which country would you want to live in?"

Most people are already living where they want to live in the UK. There is no immigration control between the 4 nations. If they wanted to live somewhere else in the UK, they already could.

Interesting question, but sadly the reality of petty local politics and even more bureaucracy tend to lead ruritanian dreams to ruin we had much better politicians when we didn't have devolved assemblies, the prospect of having 'town councillors' running my country fills me with dread! Oh yeh, they already are...

For clarity, we are Welsh & Scottish and live in England
