Leave voters on profile like smokers?

Given how impassioned many of us still feel about the EU referendum in this divided nation of ours, should being a 'Leave' voter be included on people's profiles, in the same way that people put whether they are a smoker or not? People could then put on their preferences if they don't want to meet Leave voters, only Leave voters, etc.
If not that, does anyone put anything political in their profiles (I wouldn't have thought so), or is it the case that politics shouldn't get in the way of a good shag?!
(NB: only a semi-serious, if that, thread, although I have to admit that smoking and voting Leave bring out very similar negative emotions in me, which is why I thought of the above).

Sounds a bit childish to me we all have different views and opinions how someone voted in the referendum would not matter to me. |

Oh this is a fabulous idea. I could avoid people living in a hideous, bitter and twisted world as they seethe with resentment at the thought that other people could have chosen differently to them. |

"We wouldn't play with leave voters.
I'm sure most leave voters wouldn't play with you either.
I'm sure you're right. Not many leave voters would seek out a mixed race couple."
I think you will find that quite a few mixed race couples actually voted leave. |

Stupid ideas aren't transmitted via blood or tissue, so I think they'll be just fine to have a kidney or a pint of O-negative from someone, no matter how abhorrent their politics are. |

None of that makes sense! CLCC made a prejudicial statement. Quite happy to reject a person on the basis of how they voted but would have no problem in accepting life saving treatment off the same person.
I find that very sad, as I once defended CLCC against some prejudice on here. |

I have never heard so much bitter and twisted resentment from people as I see here, you folk really need to get over a few things, take a holiday, go to bed, when you wake your mind might be clearer! unbelievable behaviour like a school playground. Whatever people voted or didn't vote is neither here nor there, they could be jolly nice people. Politics is crap anyway, designed to divide, if your so daft to resent people for what they may have voted for its very sad, what does it matter your a long time dead! |

How long is the training to become a doctor?
It partly depends on the qualifications you have before going to medical school, and the type of doctor you want to be. For example as a guide, it'll take around 10 years to train as a GP (including medical school) and 14 years to train as a surgeon.

"Given how impassioned many of us still feel about the EU referendum in this divided nation of ours, should being a 'Leave' voter be included on people's profiles, in the same way that people put whether they are a smoker or not? People could then put on their preferences if they don't want to meet Leave voters, only Leave voters, etc.
If not that, does anyone put anything political in their profiles (I wouldn't have thought so), or is it the case that politics shouldn't get in the way of a good shag?!
(NB: only a semi-serious, if that, thread, although I have to admit that smoking and voting Leave bring out very similar negative emotions in me, which is why I thought of the above).

"I've noticed you haven't included how you voted on your profile though...Why is that?
"
Perhaps it's something to do with the fact that you asked me this a couple of hours after I thought of the idea and I wanted people's opinions? Possibly, it's to do with the fact I said the topic was only semi-serious? Could it also have something to do with not letting politics get in the way of a good shag (or did you not read the whole of my OP?)?
I might put something in, but think my profile is long enough as it is. While I will always read a full profile, I seem to be in a very small minority! |

I've given up trying to explain that - it's like banging your head against a brick wall. Lots of heads firmly in the sand as we head towards a rudderless clusterfuck: we were going to 'thrive', now it's just 'survive'. We have bad news week in and week out and all the anti-EU myths have been debunked one by one, but it's just the 'biased media' apparently and Boris feels so emboldened he's even trotted out the biggest lie of all with the £350m a week, with no shame at all, when even the person who came up with the idea is now embarrassed by it.
The 'Dunkirk spirit' is all well and good, but I don't think many people enjoyed living in Britain in the summer of 1940! Sorry, I didn't mean to go off on one when I started typing, but I'm still annoyed at what a laughing stock we are in the world, so thank goodness for Trump, to take some of it away! |

I think it would be a good idea to have it as on optional tick on the profile.
For one reason only - to avoid people willing to spout the vindictive nonsense seen in this thread.
Luckily 99% of the site, in common with the general population, don't share the willingness to quickly turn to such nasty statements. They get on with their lives and with each other, regardless of how people voted.
So a yes, a good filter to avoid sad, angry people. |

So a yes, a good filter to avoid sad, angry people." |

"More employment to Brits can you ever av to many doctors like ?
Immigration from outside the EU is higher than from the INSIDE...we have had control of that....IT WONT CHANGE...how difficult is that to understand....YOU will be getting treated by these people....because its been put out of reach for many of OUR citizens IE its costs to much
I've given up trying to explain that - it's like banging your head against a brick wall.
Sorry, I didn't mean to go off on one when I started typing, but I'm still annoyed at what a laughing stock we are in the world, so thank goodness for Trump, to take some of it away!" They'll be blue birds over them cliffs i tell you and immigrants sailing home .Just you wait |

Personally I wouldn't have a problem with it. I'm a Leave voter and Proud of it, considering 17 and half million people voted Leave and only 16 million people voted Remain then I'd have the bigger pool of people to meet. |

"I've noticed you haven't included how you voted on your profile though...Why is that?
Perhaps it's something to do with the fact that you asked me this a couple of hours after I thought of the idea and I wanted people's opinions? Possibly, it's to do with the fact I said the topic was only semi-serious? Could it also have something to do with not letting politics get in the way of a good shag (or did you not read the whole of my OP?)?
I might put something in, but think my profile is long enough as it is. While I will always read a full profile, I seem to be in a very small minority!" .
I don't think you've read your own op op .
You don't like to mix politics with shagging, yet you "half seriously" thought of an idea that you want leavers (who you readily admit you don't like) (bit arbitrary) to tick a box so you don't have to fuck them?.... Even though how somebody votes is of course secret and personal to many and in law!!!! |

"I think the swivel eyed types in pursuit of some hard Brexit can be found fairly easily on the politics forum, without needing to spend Fab development money on profile changes. "
There is no such thing as hard brexit or soft brexit. The country voted to leave and it was made very clear, on many occasions, that that involved leaving the single market and an end to unrestricted freedom of movement for EC citizens, in terms of residence, employment and other rights. The country voted to leave, without any qualifications or nuances.
Those who use this terminology (often accompanied by insults against the majority voters) demonstrate an embittered reluctance to accept the result of the referendum, in so doing also a contempt for democracy, and in trying to project their own prejudiced views as being the self-evident motives of the leave voters... should take a good look at themselves. |

In making entirely unwarranted assumptions on my voting motivations, you are proving my points perfectly.
Do you not consider that many people are able to make a decision entirely on knowledge, evidence and experience - or do remainers, in their arrogance and ignorance, have all the answers?
there was a huge amount of froth, BS, lies and propaganda produced by both sides, but you insult your fellow citizens by suggesting that they are incapable of seeing through that.
But thanks for making my point. |

"Lets face facts , it no longer matters which side you voted for the only parties with any chance of being in power are both pro brexit
It does.
How you cannot stop it without teresa changing her mind and shes not doing that anytime soon , and answer this if an election is called in the next 18 months will you vote liberal?
If a car mounts a pavement and kills a load of people, does it matter if you are the one driving or not?
Well if your not driving you cant stop it and thats my point both possible drivers of this country are pro brexit we cannot stop it
Didnt May campaign to remain ?
Yes but she likes power more "
But shes not pro brexit if anyone is its Corbyn the leavers should be behind |

"I think the swivel eyed types in pursuit of some hard Brexit can be found fairly easily on the politics forum, without needing to spend Fab development money on profile changes.
Those who use this terminology (often accompanied by insults against the majority voters) demonstrate an embittered reluctance to accept the result of the referendum, in so doing also a contempt for democracy, and in trying to project their own prejudiced views as being the self-evident motives of the leave voters... should take a good look at themselves."
Orwellian revisionism is still at play then. Perhaps you should look for the You Tube clip of Farage saying on multiple occasions how we could be 'just like Norway' as just one example of how most people didn't have a Scooby Doo what they were voting for! Your assertion that everyone who voted Leave did so 'without any qualifications or nuances' is patent nonsense, I'm afraid. |

You mean it hasn't gone tits up already?! Heaven help us that it's going to get worse.
It really pisses me off with that argument around over 80% voting for pro-Brexit parties: I voted Labour in spite of the official policy (and still hope that more sensible heads will prevail), not because of it. This assumption that 80% of people are therefore endorsing Brexit is disingenuous to say the least. |

The Remain campaign was full of bullshit. Where is the recession George Osborne and Project fear predicted? Hasn't happened! George Osborne and the treasury predicting everyone will be around £4,200 worse off in the year 2030, what a crock of shit making economic predictions 14 years into the future when Osborne couldn't accurately predict what Britain's finances would look like 1 year into the future. An EU army, "oh that will never happen" the remainers said.... now confirmed by Juncker! Albania, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia will never join the EU the remain campaign said.....now confirmed they will join by Juncker! Plenty more misleading bullshit claims that came from the remain campaign where those examples came from too. |

Oh what a load of crap! However, even if we take your post as true ( ) none of that would happen if the UK stayed and used it's veto. So if you really cared about any of those things, you would have voted to be stay. |

Are you seriously suggesting that voters' decisions and level of information were dictated by the rhetoric of Farage?
Any number of statements from the EC and the UK government laid out the consequences.
The choice was remain or leave. NOT leave, subject to supplemental clauses.
Just leave. Not soft, not hard, not lightly grilled, not drizzled with essence of bullshit.
Binary choice. Expectation of a period of uncertainty and upheaval for at least two years, probably more. Short term pain, but a price worth paying in the longer term.
Mind you, the British economy is in a terrible state and there is trouble ahead, but that is irrespective of brexit. |

Aye, right! History shows that we have always been able to achieve the EC which we desired. Such a pity that the majority of the population don't know when they are well off and refused to embrace ever-more-Europe as the answer to our economic woes.

"We wouldn't play with leave voters.
Would you accept a life saving blood transfusion or organ transplant from them?
What a stupid response....
Really? If you think prejudice is acceptable, then feel free to enjoy the ways of the ignorant.
Would you play with someone with a life sized portrait of Tony Blair on their back, or are you prejudiced?
But that's a physical attribute, as are all preferences on here.
I respect all agendas and certainly wouldn't hold people's political beliefs against them.
So if they had no tattoos, but told you that they were a member of the KKK and used racist language all night, would you still play? No, I didn't say that leave remainers were all racists. The person I was quoting seemed to think, like you seem to, that someone's political pursuasions should not impact on the decision to have sex with someone or not. Personally I based my decisions on a wide variety of factors, including their politics. Every person has a different set of criteria for play, if yours doesn't include what comes out of people's mouths, thats fine. I'm glad it works for you. |

What comes out of peoples mouths is important. But not everyday normal political opinion. If they were an extremist, then no. But also being condescending to other people and superior is much more important, those types are a definite 'no' for most people. |

Every person has a different set of criteria for play, if yours doesn't include what comes out of people's mouths, thats fine. I'm glad it works for you. are you for real it's there above you in black and white.did you or did you not compare people that voted leave with with people that are members of the kkk?.olso how the hell can you tell if someone voted leave,do you honastly ask them before meetting?now here's the tough part.can you reply to answear these two questions without just sending back random questions/comparisons .
I asked if they would meet someone who said they were a member of the KKK. It was a hypothetical, as was the question about the person with a tony blair tattoo.
Yes, politics usually comes up, along with a lot of other things, before we play. out if pure curiosity would you say no to someone if you asked them while meeting.olso theoretically if we met would you play with us as we didint vote at all. (Personaly beleve anything that the public get to vote for is pointless as the outcome is already pre determined or would be disregarded as anything to do with making rich people richer wouldint be given to the average joe public to decide).
I don't think we would get along. " haha . |

Yes but she likes power more
But shes not pro brexit if anyone is its Corbyn the leavers should be behind
A hell of a lot are behind him this is my point in the election 82.4%of those who voted voted for pro brexit parties we are not stopping it and nobody should be insulting people until it actually goes tits up
You mean it hasn't gone tits up already?!
You do realise that to implement its manifesto fully it needs us to leave the eu |

"We wouldn't play with leave voters.
I'm sure most leave voters wouldn't play with you either.
I'm sure you're right. Not many leave voters would seek out a mixed race couple."
utter bs. |

It was never a party against party issue. There were remainers and exiters in all parties. |

So if they had no tattoos, but told you that they were a member of the KKK and used racist language all night, would you still play? haha you do this all this time, defelecting any answer you have from the previous statement by adding in a nonsense question as your argument is invalid.how the hell can you compare someone that voted leave to a member of the kkk and a tattoo of Tony Blair on there back.are you saying people that voted leave are all(ironicly )racists and more importantly do you ask people before you fuck then what they voted for,bit bizzare and a buzz kill eh .
No, I didn't say that leave remainers were all racists. What's a leave remainer? |

"I think that 95% of people would walk away if a potential playmeet started discussing politics."
0% of ours have, and we have never walked away from any couples who have started discussing politics. |

Maybe they didn't walk away, as they'd nodded off? Doesn't sound a fun night out for most people. |

Can't say that we have ever had a couples meet fall asleep. We have however slept on one-to-one overnight meets. |
