I know the she is hated by brexiteers for making the government have to go through parliament for a50... even though they will tell you it was all about bringing sovereignty back... but not their sovereignty... but anyhoo
She scores again... this time the Tory DUP deal/bribe.... she was going to take the government to court saying that parliament should have voted on it
Well... the government have climbed down and say that they will... which means we will get the spectacle of Tory and DUP MPs having to defend this even though a lot of them hate it
Since she seems to be good at this "interpretation of the law" stuff.... I think she should be attorney general |

that's the problem through out the UK
too much "them & us"
the UK voted to leave the EU, now we should all focus on working together as one UK
rather than all this "brexiteer" nonsense.

What a gal! But why is she doing this now, and not any of the opposition parties back after the general election result?
Maybe because none of them really want to be be in power to "obey the will of the people" and take us out of the EU because they know it's going to be to our detriment and they'll cop the blame for it, and that's why Teresa May tried her best to lose with her vote losing manifesto? |

But then the defenders of the Tory party will try to put a slant on it all....wait and see
Just like they did with the article 50 vote |

"she is a shinning beacon of democracy in a sea of right wing shit "
Yep, something is very wrong when the the party of 'One Nation' 'conservative (small C)' democratic political values has become so much of an autocratic ultra right wing fascist organisation that it feels entitled to use public money to bribe the political mouthpiece of unionist gangsters to prop up its reactionary government and also feels entitled to make a power grab that will give it the same powers to change laws at their whim as Henry 8 had.
If you want to see what a modern day hitler or Stalin looks like just look at May and her bestest buddy Donny small hands. The only thing that separates them is the veneer of respectability and probity that British manners give May.

Now lets watch how the Scottish Tories approve of the DUP deal get the popcorn out
This should show you how much Ruth Davidson gives a shit about you seen as she have become this new angel in the British media
Would a woman that is the so called leader of the Scottish Try branch really tell her lot to vote for the DUp knowing full how the DUP feel about human rights and gay rights
The UK is fucked!!! no wonder the rest of the world is sitting there laughing their arses off at this so called UK government who cant meet targets borrow more adding to the UK debt
Then find out there is another election fraud going on with the Tories all thanks to channel 4 keeping the pressure on those scumbags.
Wonderng why Scotland , Wales and N.Ireland dont vote Tory ? England should really catch up and get these dickheads out before you know it your out on the street living and having to use foodbanks.

We've had coalition governments before and supply and confidence arrangements in Government before such as the Tory/DUP are doing now, why then has Gina Miller never taken legal action on an issue such as this before? Why didn't she take legal action when the Tories formed a coalition with the Lib dems? It's because she is a vindictive trouble maker, a spoilt brat multi millionaire who doesn't like it when she can't get her own way, the EU referendum went against what she wanted and the general election result went against what she wanted now she is throwing an almighty hissy fit
for the 2nd time in the last 12 months. She is haughty and so far stuck up her own arse she can probably see what she had for breakfast this morning. Bring it on though Gina because the tories have a majority with the DUP and will win the vote in parliament (as they did with the article 50 vote) so nothing will change apart from the scowl on Gina Millers face as she grows ever more bitter that she can't get her own way. Keep wearing the nappies Gina and keep sucking your dummy and keep behaving like the big baby that you are, because you won't be getting your own way yet again. |

I don't understand why so many want our country to fail. Whether you voted in or out is irrelevent now. What is important is working together to make sure we get the best out of the situation.
Failure benefits none of us, so why hope for it? |

Just whom on here has said they want the country to fail..?
Fact is both sides by and large voted as they did because that direction was the best way in their individual opinion for us to go..
accusing other's of wanting the country to fail does not add to the debate..
no one in their right mind does..
rightly holding people to account for their actions is a foundation of this democracy and the principle should be treasured and upheld not used by some as a means to threaten vile actions as has been the case of late..
such things should be condemned by all yet some on here are closed mouthed on it and even contribute to the hatred..
that is a sad thing.. |

You are right, no one in their right mind would want the country to fail. Unfortunately there are some who are not right of mind. I quite simply do not understand it. |

To be brutally frank. I do not understand what you are trying to say and even if I did, it bears no relevence to my post.
I am simply saying I do not understand why some people want the country to fail. That benefits no one. |

I dont think anyone has said they want the country to fail...but they have said that they think the best deal will be inside the EU were we have influence not outside were we have to adhere to what THEY say for any trade deals...common sense i believe.
I don't think you read my reply about sovereignty bth |

For someone who claims that brexit was about a want for direct parlimentary processes running the country, you sure as hell dont like it when it actually takes place.
Legal challenges by the legal system and courts, applicable at any granted time, independant or public, are one of the best ideas this nation concieved and exported.
Now I understand that you are emotive and prone to acting defensively when someone challenges your narrow ideals, but come on, think empirically and legally. What is being raised is a natural part of our parlimentary process, to say anything else is to defend an ideological standpoint like an animal.
Spouting the nonsense you typed earlier just paints you as the cliché for the brexiteer, hot headed, quick to act irrationally, and prone to try and sound like a stiff upper lip statesman but failing miserably. |

Nonsense. Remainers and Labour supporters have complained that the Tories used money to buy DUP votes. Gina Miller is using her own considerable wealth and money (which is beyond the means of most ordinary folk) to try to overturn a fair and democratic decision that the county has taken. She is trying to throw money at this to try to buy the decision that she wants. |

Gina Miller is being funded by a considerable amount of wealthy ex-pats who are against Brexit. |

Well you know Bob, as soon as folk realise that we are all tiny tiny little insignificant pieces in some rather too big to comprehend controlling entity then we certainly will have a good day.
The only truths in the world for me is I came out of my mum and I will end up in a box!
I read everything with amusement because it really is not that significant and nothing one says or tries to do will make a blind bit of difference. Same old shit wrapped in a different package.
I like to keep my glass pretty full, some on here knocked the glass off the bar years ago!

If you look at the details the case is actually being share funded, it is not all her own wealth.
Also i'm happy to see a wealthy individual using their wealth to represent part the populace in court. A good government is one which is being challenged and holding its ground.
You just dont like the idea that in a free and open democracy the government can be challenged. I suggest you go time travel to communist china or russia if thats the case.
Finally if she is correct in the whole issue of no monetary bribes between the NI parliment and ours, then we technically have an illegal government. Once again, this is part of our own national policy and its taking a good lawyer to bring it up. All tge power to her. |

Yet AGAIN your over riding hate & bile against ANYTHING or ANYONE that may / could hamper Brexit totally clouds any form of rationale you may have.
You ONLY focus your hatred on Gina Miller because she didn't want to leave the EU so you only see what she's done to be against your beloved Brexit YET you totally ignore the FACT that her joint claimant "Deir Tozetti Dos Santos" was for Brexit.
This you have refused to reply to time and time again because it totally fucks up your argument that you say the Government won & Miller lost "in your delusional world"
Miller & Santos won, the government lost & it wasn't anything about stopping Brexit, it's about following due legal process just like this new case, but you don't like the idea of following propper legal process if the result could be something you don't want Centaur.

"I know the she is hated by brexiteers for making the government have to go through parliament for a50... even though they will tell you it was all about bringing sovereignty back... but not their sovereignty...
I think she should be attorney general "
Great post. Democracy in action. Some people would be happy having a totalitarian state and then lecturing us on freedom and British values. |

"Yep, major issues should be discussed and voted upon. It seems our government dislike scrutiny. There is probably a very good reason for them to dislike scrutiny."
It's a timescale thing. There simply isn't enough time to go through every piece of EU legislation in the primary stage before March 29th 2019.
Dominic Grieve will table amendments as the Bill progresses through the various Committee stages, and as a previous Attorney General, he is one MP I do trust on legal matters. |

There are some with that mind set, but then don't confuse it with people are concerned as they dont hear their concerns being adressed, or rather being dismissed.
On the flip side, some people on the pro-brexit side are not capable of seeing that if something does go wrong a lot of people could end up out of work. And I wouldn't like to deal with a lot of angry unemployed people. |

Bringing power back and fudge the rules/law and turn a blind eye to the governments actions as needs dictate for the good of Brexit.
I've brought this Miller - Santos issue up quite a few times to Centaur but as far as I know he has avoided ALL posts about this issue.
He knows he would have to admit he's been talking bollocks about this since he's been painting the court cases as Miller trying to stop Brexit, when that was never the case.
I doubt very much Centaur will give any reply to this as per the norm. |

Where is Dos Santos in all the television and radio appearances then? I have actually answered this before on the forum when Fabio raised the same question months ago but as usual seems to have gone in one ear and straight out the other with the usual suspects on here. It's Gina Miller who has gone out of her way to get her ugly scowling mug on telly and her haughty stuck up voice on radio at just about every interview opportunity going. Where is Dos Santos hiding?
Secondly Miller won the court case but it was the government who won the resulting article 50 vote in Parliament, something which must have annoyed Gina Miller immensely. So much in fact that now she's come back to have another go at the government. Let's hope she wins the case though then she can scowl some more as the DUP would be happy to help the tories on any Brexit votes in Parliament for free because it's DUP policy to leave the EU. Then Miller's reactions can become ever more hysterical just like the ever growing scowl on her face as we get closer to March 2019. |

Perhaps he's a little bit on the spectrum and everything is very black and white?
well.... in this case is more the "black" i think he doesn't see her as "british"... and that is what he and most daily mail readers think is the problem... "
Where have I ever mentioned the colour of Gina Miller's skin on the forum then Fabio? Can you give an example or quote or link to a specific thread? You can dig all you like but you won't be able to find one because it doesn't exist. Why do you put "black" highlighted like that? Are you implying I dislike her because of the colour of her skin? I dislike David Cameron immensely by the same token do you assume I dislike him because of the colour of his skin? Nothing but a nasty smear from you here, I think you actually owe me an apology but I won't hold my breath for one from you. Never again will you be able to attempt to claim the moral high ground after this post. Also for the record I don't buy or read the Daily Mail either. This has to be one of the most ridiculous posts you've ever put on the forum, it even Trumps (pardon the pun) the one you posted about watching the US Presidential election results on CNN instead of Fox News last year. |

This you have refused to reply to time and time again because it totally fucks up your argument that you say the Government won & Miller lost "in your delusional world"
Miller & Santos won, the government lost & it wasn't anything about stopping Brexit, it's about following due legal process just like this new case, but you don't like the idea of following propper legal process if the result could be something you don't want Centaur.
i think there is "another" reason why centaur focuses so much on miller bearing in mind some of his other posts in the last few weeks......
lets just say he seems to share some of the same views as the men with "pointy white hats"........
anyway, i do find it interesting that he things that the "bribe" since it is public money and was done in a way to circumvent the normal barnett formula process, that it shouldn't be looked at closer by parliament....
were we not told there was no magic money tree.... and yet, hey presto!!!!

"We've had coalition governments before and supply and confidence arrangements in Government before such as the Tory/DUP are doing now, why then has Gina Miller never taken legal action on an issue such as this before? "
The more important question is "does that matter?"
The answer is no. Nobody is required to meet your criteria of consistency of actions in order to bring a case.
Because that's not relevant, and asking the question is, to borrow a phrase playing the man, not the ball. |

"the allies of the people, ie the judges, will get to decide ... they proved themselves to be beacons of democracy in her last challenge
If that's the case why are Remainers so desperate to cling onto the European Court of justice then instead of having the UK Supreme court being the court that has the final say after Brexit.
It was the UK supreme court that ruled on the last case...Dohh Homer "
I know that. It was all over the television around Christmas time if you bothered to come out of your cave to watch it? The point is many Remainer MP's in Parliament were suggesting during the EU withdrawal bill debate that the UK Supreme court on its own is not good enough and we need the additional cover of the European Court of Justice. You can't have it both ways. |

Right Homer let me try to explain Fabio's original post....what you have tried to hijack.
His post was about Miller winning again...IN THE UK SUPREME COURT....NOT THE EU COURT....for some reason you try to turn it around every time....its about now NOT 2 years down the road or however long it takes to exit the EU... |

"
funny you should ask centaur, because if you had any knowledge of the case (which i don't think you have much!) he decided to go into hiding and keep a much lower profile due to you and people like you who decided to send him death threats which the police to so seriously they had to give both him and miller police protection for a while.....
" Secondly Miller won the court case but it was the government who won the resulting article 50 vote in Parliament, something which must have annoyed Gina Miller immensely. "
firstly.... actually the a50 vote in parliament, since you brought it up, was to start the process of leaving and nothing more..... but we digress
and secondly... its also DUP policy to support "the softest form of brexit possible as to not affect the northern irish economy"..........
so is that your stance then centaur?
gina miller had a further attempt to bring the government back into the legal side of the law, and territory because again she believed that the government were over-reaching in their powers and those powers again should be at the perogative of parliament.... and she has been proved to be again correct in that opinion BY THE UK SUPREME COURT
so actually it can be argued that she is a great parliamentarian in that she believes that parliament is soverign above government......... after all, isn't that what you have wanted all along? |

Still the "Miller" hatred & bile then
The point being is that the case was nothing to do with derailing Brexit like you stated on here.
You seemed to take it as a personal attack or something and was slagging her off for going against a democratic decision made by the people blah blah blah & Brexit will give us our sovereignty back blah blah blah yet you wanted May to have dictatorship style power to ram through whatever she wanted for Brexit. Miller wanted things done according to law, which the supreme court agreed with her...
Yet you still can't admit you we're wrong & your hate towards her is quite ridiculous.
You should be pleased someone is willing to put up their own money to challenge the government when their acting like they have been. |

In the end all the actions being taken to stall or prevent us leaving the EU will be of monumental unimportance when we leave.
Most ordinary working people's lives will not change.
Gina Miller will continue to make a fortune charging for her services, and then be forgotten. She has had her 15 minutes of fame. |

By focusing on the simplistic leave or stay it misses the points of concern, the methodologies employed, the right, fit and proper ways to do things and ultimately leaving without due concern for process and what is best for the nation and the people - whilst ensuring that the UK retains and improves its relationship with Europe who continue to be a major trading partner.
Ms Miller has pursued a path that I wouldn't have, in the same situation - but having free will and choices are important to us : she has pursued hers and potentially for the benefit of others, not just herself.
At this stage it's not about in or out, it's about the details of the exit and aftermath |

it appears that Gina Miller has mentioned that she may be prepared to offer her services again to the government. i think it's very charitable of her to give mrs. maygabe and her flying monkeys the benefit of a free education in the workings of democracy.
this time the schooling will focus on the illegalities of minority governments offering bribes to fringe political parties in exchange for votes. |

Interesting and the population should thank her. The government have a key focus upon keeping their party afloat and much of anything else is a distraction in their view. |

LoL...
Apparently if she does not get a satisfactory answer from No10 by close of business on Wednesday the Maybot will get another opportunity to spend millions of our taxes on banks of lawyers in an attempt to prove that using public taxes to buy a block of votes in order to remain in power is not effectively the definition of misusing the power public granted by offices to remain in those public offices, and that in itself is the definition of corruption. |
