Americans consider Trump presidency a failure

59% of Americans consider Trumps presidency a failure so far and just 36% consider it a success.

His support among Republicans and his core base is also softening. His strongly approve numbers are declining as well as his overall approval numbers.

55% of people think that Trump has decreased the stature of the presidency. 60% dont see him as honest and trustworthy. (All number have a sample error of +- 3.6%).

So after 200 days in and time running out before the mid term election cycle does anyone think Trump will be able to reverse these numbers before 2020?

Apparently a US president cannot be indicted on criminal charges while in office...

Apparently if what I hear is true there is concrete proof that Trump personally committed federal tax fraud to save paying about $350,000 in gift tax when he sold 2 appartments worth in the region of $850,000 each to his son in law Kushner for a total of $700,000 in 2016. I guess that is why he did not make public his tax returns and tried to bully the Special Prosecutor into not looking at them. I expect that Trumps real reason for his 17 day golfing holiday is so he can fake a heart attack and resign claiming he did more in 6 months than any previous president did in 8 years.

So much winning... LoL

"So many sore losers"

At what point do you stop dismissing the mounting evidence that Trump is corrupt, has been laundering money for the Russian mafia and equally corrupt Russian oligarchs since the 90's while defrauding his own country and countrymen?

However the really ironic part of this is that if Trump had stayed a private citizen he would never have been caught. Now because of his obviously racist desire to wipe out all positive traces of Obama's he is now in danger of losing his whole business empire and the straw that is likely to break his back is $350,000 of unpaid federal gift tax.

Now would exactly how much $350,000 is as a % of his $3.5 BILLION worth.

Lets see:

$3,500,000,000 knock off 4 zeros and change the 35's to 1's...

What is 1 millionth as a %?

How fucking corrupt (and stupid) do you have to be to risk everything (and jail) for a millionth of you total worth.

What does any of that have to do with being a sore loser? And how thick and corrupt and hated do you have to be to lose to someone like Trump?

Why is it always Trump supporters trying to bring everything back to election? The elections over, MOVE ON!!

We're talking about the current situation, not last years news. And the current situation is that Americans feel the current president is failing.

He is failing big time, and lying his ass off, even about stupid things like phone calls for Boy Scouts, they had to put out a public statement saying the call never took place!

How's that travel ban going? He said he needed a 90 day travel ban to change the system and improve the vetting. Well he's had 200 days to change it now, so there is no need for the ban anymore!

Thing is, if 59% think he is a failure then Democrats would make up 50% of that and say he is a failure whatever and the 9% are probably people who don't vote either way, are Trump supporters who don't think he's gone far enough or are people who expected miracles overnight. So OP, got any statistics that actuall mean anything?

okay... if you think about trump base is always going to be about 35%..... then in the last 200 days he has basically done nothing to expand beyond his base....

take healthcare.... it could have been dealt with in a bipartisan manner.... he decided not to, they ballsed it up... and he still tried to blame the democrats....

the only "win" he has gotten legislatively is getting Gorsich confirmed into the supreme court.... everything else has had to be done via executive order!

the travel ban and various versions

the transgender in the military ban

the removing of the US from the paris climate change treaty....

and so on....

he isn't the president of the people... he is the president of 140 characters!

and thats without even starting on russia....

I don think he ends up resigning just before its looks like being impeached....

Theres nothing to back up your claim that more Americans are pro Trump than anti Trump. All the evidence says the exact opposite. I suppose Chris Christie is actually the 2nd most popular politician in America but the media are lying about that too

If you listen to what he says and how he says it and compare his rallies to those of Hitler in the 30's the similarities are frighteningly similar...

All that is missing are the torchlight processions, book burnings, gangs of thugs roaming the streets using violence to suppress opposition and concentration camps. But then Hitler took 5 years to go from being given the top job to Kristallnacht and 7 years to WW2.

It looks increasing like Trump may manage to start WW3 in under a year!

"that is so untrue the economy is better than ever and he has created over a million jobs more americans love him than hate him but the media wont report his successes"

they do report it.... but they also report it in context which is absolutely fair...

the context being that the jobs numbers had been increasing for 24 consecutive months BEFORE trump came into office.... so yes the continuation of that is welcomed...

he makes it sound like the economy was down before he came in and he has fixed it.... that is not true! and that is the type of spin that gets him into trouble....

when you have as part of the CBS poll yesterday "do you believe everything coming out of the whitehouse?"... and 75% of people say no! ( the astounding number for me was that 50% of republicans on that poll said no!") then you have an issue which is of their own making....

which is for as much as you like you cry "fake news!"... none of it has turned out to be fake... and no one believes the message you are putting out either!

As an American, Trump has failed on everything except Fox news. They have him on a pedestal, he cant do nothing wrong according to them. He's a complete nut job and the definition of an egomaniac. Power hungry asshole needs to resign(not happening) or be impeached.

According to the latest CNN poll 50% of Republicans would support Trump i he postponed the 2020 presidential election in order to 'make sure' only American citizens voted...

Anyone smell an attempted power grab to make Trump president for life in the offing?

Well somebody must have liked and voted for him he is your president.

You can always vote for a new one next time around.

Unless of course he can be impeached, resigned or assassinated (not my opinion) as has been continually banded about since he took office!

Perhaps it would have been better if former president Obama hung in there or Mrs Clinton was president. Could have been a whole lot different.

"that is so untrue the economy is better than ever and he has created over a million jobs more americans love him than hate him but the media wont report his successes"

That is simply untrue and just one of the many lies he says. Jobs creation is actually lower than in the first year of any of the last 4 presidents. The economy is increasing due to Obama. It's still rising st the same pace set by his office.

Nothing Trump has done has had any impact on economy or jobs, but this is normal during the first year, you don't make an instant impact. You will see next year what his changes have done. Could be good could be terrible, we'll see.

You do realise it is over 30 years since the GOP won the popular vote in a presidential election.

Obama served two terms, the maximum allowed these days. He couldn't have just "hung in there"
