The vast majority of Brexiters suggested that a UK Brexit would lead to the collapse of the EU.
Now even the most senior of Brexiters are having to put the record straight and admit that this is just not the case.

How many of the 17 million have said it would lead to the collapse of the EU, and how many of those have you spoken to? Who wants it to collapse, that would be the end of greece and probably italy as well, who will bail them out if gremany goes its own way and that would do our exporters no good at all. What leave voters want is to leave the EU, they have as many personal reasons for leaving as remainers do for staying, however when in a few years time brexit is seen to be a success and the UK is doing fine without all the political bullshit from brussels then we may well see other countries start to wonder if its better in or out, of course for the poorer countries having a cash cow AKA germany to help will be a big factor, the richer countries may well get fed up when their contributions have to go up |

What is wrong with being offensive to people who voted to harm our country? You weren't born that way. Your body is not brexit-coloured or shaped. You are not genetically brexit-supporting? It is entirely your choice.
I don't happen to agree with name-calling on this as I don't think it is helpful. I think calling remain voters 'remoaners' or 'traitors' helpful. I don't think calling leave voters names either is helpful.
But I think calling foul and trying to equate it to racism just shows a distinct level of misunderstanding of the world.

See this is where you demonstrate further your ignorance by lumping in things like race and sexuality which is genetic and things like which football team you support or your political party which are not.
Someone's race or sexuality is not their 'view'. Contrary, their politics are based upon the information they absorb. Hence why all the lies around politics at the moment are such an issue.

Let's assume for a second that not a single Brexiter has ever suggested that Brexit would be the beginning of a Europe wide EU exit. I mean imagine even that UKIP don't want that and have never said it. The question still remains......
If Brexit was going to be so good for the UK, would it not be logical for France, Belgium and the Netherlands (and others) to go the same way and make their lives so much better? Why wouldn't Greece, Spain and Italy want to leave if exiting the EU was such a path to prosperity? Even if no one said it (which plenty did, but let's say they didn't) it is a reasonable and logical train of thought.
So when when the biggest of all Brexit Nobs, David the bob Davis states in public that he doubts any other country would follow the UK out of the EU - what is that really saying???
This and may other little tidbits that are coming out are just do the gentle preparation of the ground to let us all know eventually that this is going to be a disaster. There is not a single shred of anything tangible to support the idea that Brexit is going to be anything other than catastrophic for this country and almost everyone in it - especially the ooor misguided fools that bought the Brexit story. |

Don't count your chicken's, as the migrant crisis is getting much worse for the EU in the Mediterranean. A huge amount of anger and resentment is building up there and what has the EU done about it????
Fuck all seems to be the answer and as the likes of Tusk, Juncker and Merkel (the silly Frau who said "all are welcome here") suggest now these migrants be spread around the EU you've had the Eastern European countries like Poland and Hungary saying no way we don't want them (they want to preserve their mainly Christian background and culture and not have it eroded by letting in millions of Muslims). The Eastetn European countries are having none of it and this is putting distance between them and what Brussels wants. The border controls, and barbed wire fences that were erected last year remain in place and one country in Eastern Europe even put tanks on its border. You also have ongoing monetary problems in the EU with the Euro and various banks mainly in Italy are still looking very shaky. The EU has huge problems not only Brexit to deal with but this growing migrant crisis in the Med which shows no sign of slowing down and the ongoing problems with the Euro and sky high unemployment in Southern Europe. If you think everything is hunky dory for the EU though then please do continue to bury your head in the sand, maybe change your fab username to Ostrich while you're at it. |

Hate is hate, surely genetic hate such as racism is harder to change and therefore should be forgiven whereas football or politics isnt so hard to change. I remember when being gay could be "cured" according to some and then we decided it was in the genes and therfore it was "natural" so if the hate of a race or sexual persuasion is genetic also can that be cured ? Ranger / Celtic is about football. Religion if you want. Some might say there is little difference between the two anyways. It has nothing to do with race.
Oh, wow... so now you are saying that hatred or a race could in itself be genetic? Hrmm... I think you are clutching at straws there. I mean, yes, I guess there could be some genetic marker that goes way back that just as some people think coriander tastes like soap due to a gene, some people might think that people of a certain race look, smell, sound like something offensive due to a gene they have. But I'd wager that (if it exists) that is such a minor aspect compared to social reasons.
But I guess you could be right in that maybe in a few centuries we might determine that being a Tory is a genetic trait. Maybe we'll try to cure it with gene therapy. Or maybe Jacob Rees-Mogg is actually an elaborate experiment in genetics and we've already proven it but the government is hiding the evidence

As an outsider looking in and from a person from Southern Europe - Allow me to add a different perspective
The UK contributes 12% to our (EU) budget and the loss of this will not be felt in full, until the UK leaves the EU in two years time
We simply do not have another nation in the pipeline to replace the UK
Does this worry us? Yes it does because we will either have to contribute more or learn to survive on much less
With countries like Montenegro and Serbia waiting in the wings to replace the UK - The EU economy is only heading in one direction
Are other countries about to follow the UK out of the EU? I would hold judgement and ask that question in 2 or 3 years time

And further.... is that what is keeping proud nations part of the EU? Are none of these nations looking admirably at the UK and wanting to be similarly free??? We here on this forum regularly that Greece hates the EU (but bizarrely only stays in because they hate Germany more) and that Spain and others would leave at the drop of a hat.

Currently 10 out of 28 member states are net contributors, and some of those only contribute in a small way.
Not withstanding whichever side of the Brexit fence you are on, our leaving and resultant financial exit, will cause a problem to the EU. |

With regards to the Falklands and Gibraltar; Argentina and Spain have long standing and legally legitimate claims to these territories that should not, and indeed are not, dismissed without thought. However, as Britain has legally held sovereignty over them both for 100s of years, so do they. Argentina, Spain and Britain have agreed that the issue should be sorted out peacefully and diplomatically, taking into full consideration the wishes of the people living there. That's the way democratic countries sort these issues out.

Hispania got it back after the fall of Rome then lost it to the moors then (castille) annexed it then lost Gibraltar and much of spain to the moors then the Spanish took it back and pushed moors out.Then they lost it again to the anglo Dutch and Britain got it. Thats modern spain Hispania existed prior to that consisting of castille and aragon.Which came togeather to form modern Spain. Therfore the Spanish claim is better than the British.In addition both kingdoms are geographically linked to gibraltar.Unlike Britain . |

Wrong again - I'm guessing you don't speak Spanish or understand Iberian history
Hispania was a Roman term for the area of Seville
The nation of Spain or Espana wasn't formed until 1516
But irrespective of you trying to re-write history and trying to sell out on a unique race of people in Gibraltar
The two main points are
1/ The people of Gibraltar do not wish to become Spanish
2/ Spain has legally ceded Gibraltar to Britain in perpetuity

Nor are the French asking for The Channel Islands "back". I really don't get this idea that you can just ignore totally what the people who live in these territories think and hand them over, like some meaningless pawns, to another country just so you can say you're not a colonialist. Luckily for the people living in Gibraltar and the Falklands, whilst not giving up their legitimate claims, both Spain and Argentina have agreed that any change in status of either territory will only happen with the consent of the people living there and by solely peaceful means. |

We can totally ignore the removal and expulsion of the inhabitants of diego garcia 1200 miles from their home in secret in the 70s because they've only been their since the 18th century.This is because they were considered non permanent.If this is legal then we can consider the Falklands people non permanent and Gibraltar.
We gave no resettlement assistance.Just told the people to fuck off.They weren't white people i suppose and we make alot of money renting the island to the usa .So yeah fuck them. |

Your :two wrongs dont make a right" in this case is irrelevant.
If a set of immoral things are done and left unprosecuted, this creates a legal precedent. Thus, people who do the same wrongs in the future should rationally expect to get away as well. |

Don't count your chicken's, as the migrant crisis is getting much worse for the EU in the Mediterranean. A huge amount of anger and resentment is building up there and what has the EU done about it????
Fuck all seems to be the answer and as the likes of Tusk, Juncker and Merkel (the silly Frau who said "all are welcome here") suggest now these migrants be spread around the EU you've had the Eastern European countries like Poland and Hungary saying no way we don't want them (they want to preserve their mainly Christian background and culture and not have it eroded by letting in millions of Muslims). The Eastetn European countries are having none of it and this is putting distance between them and what Brussels wants. The border controls, and barbed wire fences that were erected last year remain in place and one country in Eastern Europe even put tanks on its border. You also have ongoing monetary problems in the EU with the Euro and various banks mainly in Italy are still looking very shaky. The EU has huge problems not only Brexit to deal with but this growing migrant crisis in the Med which shows no sign of slowing down and the ongoing problems with the Euro and sky high unemployment in Southern Europe. If you think everything is hunky dory for the EU though then please do continue to bury your head in the sand, maybe change your fab username to Ostrich while you're at it. "
