He did an interview a few days ago in which he was monumentally shit. Despite it being the number one watched video on BBC news website, they didn't actually report it on the front page of their site.

"Has BoJo just eclipsed Diane in the car-crash interview league?"

Yes, but it was reported and treated in a very different way. No surprises there.

Righty BBC. They are paid by the government so are naturally biased to the government. Either left or right.

Saw that. Apparently we're not being patriotic enough because people are daring to question Mays position on Brexit. She's another idiot.

Heard the Guardians foray into America seems to have fallen flat on its arse, lol. 140 workers at its New York Operation have recently been slashed to around 80 after the paper lost nearly £12 million last year. Reports say the staff over there are still to face 50% more cuts. At least the Americans can see this guff for what it really is.

To be fair idiot is an understatement. The woman is a moron. How she ever got to be a cabinet minister is beyond me. She makes some of them look geniuses. The interview with Maitlis was an utter disgrace. Since when did a cretin like her get to decide what the BBC, or anyone else, can and can't say

Angela Leadsom was talking about broadcasters, not the general public.

So are you suggesting that broadcasters and journalists shouldn't question the motives of politicians and the direction in which they want to take the country?

Perhaps you'd prefer state control of the press and broadcasting.

I'm not suggesting anything. Just correcting a perception about what was said. Fact.

Emily Maitliss does have an annoying interview technique though. Asks a question and then butts in, within a couple of seconds of the answer being delivered. Her recent interview with Theresa May, was both nonsensical and rude. Opinion.

TBH I actually find a lot of these interviews of politicians quite annoying. I can't remember the last time I actually heard any politician from any side actually finish giving their answer without being interrupted. Sometimes I actually want to hear their full answer to the question without the interviewer constantly interrupting with another question.

Agreed. And I also object to them trying to put words in politicians' mouths, when they know that answers can't be given due to impending court cases and public inquiries.

It's about time that viewer feedback could drive the interviewer to keep the politicians on track, specifically answering the question that was asked- rather than delivering some puff piece that's full of bs.

We'd interact live as soon as they stray off. Worst offenders should get sprayed with pig shit or worse.

Oh for bull on a totally different level you need to listen to the SNP... They have taken the "car crash interview" to new heights.....Although since the election they seem to be a little less inclined to put anyone other than the Sainted Nicola or Mr Swinney forward. That is the talent pool drained when they are not available

Your question "When was the last time you heard a straight answer yes or no?" proves the point that sometimes even a simple question can't be answered with a simple yes or no answer.

Should be a yes or no answer debate before the next election ask the question they are only allowed yes or no.when they say anything

Else turn the mic off next question lol that would stop the waffling

If life was just a mater of making simple binary choices that might work but, in reality, we all know that life is always a lot more nuanced than that. And personally I want more than a simple yes or no answer from those that seek to lead. I want to know from them why they think their answer, whether yes, no or more words, is the right and best answer. I want to be convinced they know what their talking about, that they understand the issues; I don't want a leader who's just going to say yes or no depending on what they think is likely to get the most votes.
